some of us are suffering of fast battery drainage on our WM6.1 on our beloved BA, i wonder if we can use a software like cpuxcalar to save our battery.
(we know that cpuxcalar have the ability to reduce the clock speed of our BA's cpu when we are not using a heavy programs running on our BA..)
based on that i guess using that program we will have more efficient battery usage right?
will it affect our WM stability? (can we use the program safely in order to save our battery?)

Nordic business area manager for Windows Mobile said on his blogg that there will be no more Sense on a Windows phone 7 phone...
Translated from swedish to english with the help of google:
"There will be no Sense to HTC Windows Phone 7 Series phones. It is entirely a Microsoft-defined experience that HTC can add things to, but not changing how it works. It's totally fine."
here is the source http://wissinger.wordpress.com/2010/02/15/en-annorlunda-telefon-windows-phone-7-series/#comments its in swedish so translate it with the help of google....
It's not very surprising.
It's part of their brand awareness strategy. Same like the PC Windows 7 Starter edition, were changing wallpapers is blocked.
MS wants to push their new OS and separate themselves from the previous WinMo. Most of WinMo phones now, have custom UI to hide the uglyness of stock system. So releasing a new system and allowing custom UIs would go unnoticed to the average Joe.
I'm sure they will allow custom UIs after a certain period of time tho. It will also give companies designing custom UIs more time to implement the new features.
well ultimately...sense was supposed to cover microsofts ugly user interface...thats no longer necessary...
with that said...the weather animations are still nice and I hope HTC will somehow integrate them in winmo 7 and also the homescreen is simply something I'm used to...since the diamond...I can't imagine my phone looking different on home screen
but seriously, thats the only thing I miss about sense...other than that it was clear that sense won't survive...
it supports no widgets which sucks
its written in lua which nobody understands
you have to modify manila files which means if you have multiple modifications, you can't delete stuff anymore.
it has some very useless tabs, yet doesn't allow you to create own tabs with important stuff...who needs a footprint tab again?
so overall it was clear that sense wouldn't survive too long in the current concept...you see what HTC has done with android...I hope they will be doing some innovative stuff with winmo 7...mainly the main screen in sense is awesome and the weather animations.
Since bluetooth is a complete disaster (at least for me) is it possible for devs to say put the stack (or whatever its called) from 1.5 into a 2.1 based rom?
Simple answer is no.
Complex answer is yes, but would take eons and source.
so here's the question :
will it be possible to mod HTC Hup ?
or ad some extra tiles/tabs to HTC Hup .
and is there someone that can tell me how sense look (is it one app or is it something like 1000 manila files)
i dont know much about it, but i assume it will be possible, anything is possible if you work at it. Sense however is one app or "hub" as they are calling it on WP7 so im not sure how it would work but i doubt it will be just manilla files, i reckon some hard coding will be needed.
I agree, someone on here will probably re-engineer them, but what's the point?
Previous versions of the Sense UI laid over (and hid) the OS, in this case it is just another app based in a WP Hub, it will have a much more minor role.
In fact from the previews I've seen in my opinion it will be pretty useless. In the past HTC used Sense UI to give glanceable info to Windows Mobile, now that Windows Phone does this from it's core, HTC have gone in a completly opposite direction by putting on an overly animation heavy interface onto a glaceable UI!!! Now it takes 2 to 3 seconds to get into the HTC hub because of all their fancy animations.
Someone may port it to non-HTC devices or copy the latest versions (going forward Sense 3.1, 3.5, etc) onto all the phone.
I'm sure the developers here are more interested in WP7 itself rather than Sense UI which has well and truley become an animation bloatware on WP7.
actually looks like MS and HTC declared that no custom home screen will be available fot WP7 phones

Hi,
There are no manila files (yet).

Regards, ansar.
From a programmers point of view the Sense App on HTC's WP7 devices is just another app (although it seems to have the possibility to access more than regular WP7 apps built with the public tools (sound settings on the Surround and HD7).
HTC currently mainly uses it to add Weather and Stock-Updates as those are not part of the base OS.

Short answer no.
Long answer:
"Sense 3.0" is based on Silverlight. Which won't run on Windows Mobile 6.5 or less.

Well... it is just another App... although a WP7-App that won't run anywhere else - what I meant to say: I don't see why anyone would need this thing anyplace else, what it provides is little and could easily be done by just writing a simple App.
Thread cleaned up.
Stay On topic please.
Is it posible to use teh SDK to add elements of higher sense versions to our sense 1.0 only evo (if your going by stock information) (imnot talking about ports or AOSP)
