Last night my Leo phone died or looks like it might have.
The network emblem shows that there is no connection. I have tried a hard reset too. While resetting I left the sim in the phone and I noticed that one screen did pick up the fact that the sim was 'prepay O2' so it must be finding the network at boot up.
HELP!

Flight Mode stands for "no wireless emision" mode:
- NO phone comunications functions
- NO Bluetooth
- NO WI-FI
This is the usual mode required during commercial flights, where the name comes from. You can use only the PDA part of your XDA while in this mode.
Hope it helps.
Thanks
Well that explains flight mode.
Still does not explain why i am in flight and how to get out of it. If i try to make a call it says phone turned off-do you want to start. ckick yes and nothing happens--the dialog box goes away but no phone--also cannot see phone trying to connect to anything.
Hi!
Tap your phone icon on the top bar, (it should show an X) then tap "turn off flight mode", it should bring your phone back, and request the PIN. If not, call your phone program from the programs menu, and see what happens.
It is simple, if nothing happens your phone/phone SW might be damaged somehow....
Good luck!
I have been trying all that and nothing happens. Wonder if a hard reset might help or if the sim card is damaged.
A hard reset will answer the question, and at least you can do a backup of your data.

Did not want to hard reset. Put the sim in another phone and got sim rejected error message. then went to ais and they told me the sim was damaged and gave me another one for 10 bucks--same number.
Thanks everyone for your replies.

My T-mobile MDA had same problems very difficult to switch flight mode on and off, had to tap almost 10 times, after upgrade to newest rom, problem solved. works on first tap
Any help is greatley appreciated. I just bought the xda2 a week ago and it worked fine until yesterday. At first the phone just wouldnt dial. Then it would freeez. After a soft reset, it wouldnt go past the first "o2" screen and would just hang. The blue light started flashing eventhough I never enabled Bluetooth. The system didnt start past that screen and it also wouldn't shut off. Even after a hard reset it still had the same symptoms(it froze at the bootup screen and had flashing blue light). Around 30 minutes later after trying to turn it on and off. I finally started. But then it happened again today. Thanx in advance
If it still displays these symptoms after a hard reset then it look like a hardware fault. Only other thing i can think of is if you have a memory card inserted that is upsetting the system.
It doesnt have a memory card. I was afraid it might be hardware related. Any idea on how to have it repaired from the US
Hey I was wondering if anyone could help
I recently spent ALL my money on an SPV M3100, with the good help from this site I got it unlocked, installed hard SPL and flashed the latest HTC WM6 ROM to it.
Everything was going swimmingly until I installed a SIM for the first time. As soon as I activated the phone and the settings were updated to Vodafone Australia the screen went white (you can just about make out the icons at the right angle, but very faint).
My first thought was that the HTC ROM was causing the problem so I changed to Schaps 4.31. However that's when I discovered it's the SIM that's causing the trouble.
The screen works fine with no SIM, but insert the SIM and update the settings and I get a blank screen.
Would be majorly grateful for any advice.
Many thanks,
Al.
b****ks I don't think it is a SIM issue as it's just happened with no SIM!
However it does seem to happen every time the handset goes into sleep mode. It loads up fine EVERY time, but when I retreive from sleep mode there's a white out!

That happend to my Hermes before. After turning on the screen, it would sometimes fade to white or just go white with a button press. It wasn't too bad at first then it got worse. I ended up sending mine in to ATT for a repair, so I know thats not much help, but it maybe your only option if its a hardware issue....
no worries - I appreciate your advice, just out of curiosity though, was it expensive to repair (i.e. almost the cost of getting a new one!).
I've removed sleep mode from the settings, dimmed the screen and set the backlight to cut out after only a few seconds and it's been absolutely fine for the last 24 hours everything else seems to work fine, it's just coming out of sleep that causes the problem.
Blank White Screen - Power Saving Mode
I have the same problem, but it started to occur after the upgrade to wm6.1. When I try to return the power saving mode, the display does not work. He stay in a blank white screen, but all other functions of the unit still running. After a reset it back to normal. The problem of how to disable the power saving mode is the small time of battery life. Anybody got any solution?
I have been trying to get past the No SIM card Emergency Call only screen to no avail. The four corners thing worked fine on our Cliq and Droid 2, but not on the Flipout. I don't need to root or unlock, I simply just want to use it on Wifi only... possible?
Thanks in advance.
Bypass Emergency call screen (solved)
Hi there Imanta...
I am also a new member & I had this exact same problem a few days ago. My Flipout for no apparent reason started refusing my orange 3G sim (No sim) and would only boot to emergency call screen .
The workaround for this problem I found to be simple . Insert a sim from a different carrier (I used virgin mobile), boot phone, when fully booted you should be presented with the phones network unlock screen giving you 2 options.
1: Enter network unlock code.
2: Dismiss.
Choose dismiss option & the phone should boot to its home screen unless you did a factory reset before inserting other carrier sim. If you did a reset then the phone will ask you to set a few perameters before booting to home screen.
Once fully booted the phone will be fully functioning albeit without carrier network access. You can also remove the wrong carrier sim & insert your own sim back & the phone will continue to boot to home screen from off until a wipe/factory reset is done again.
I hope this helps with your problem...
Stay Breezy & Be Lucky...
Peace....
Hi, guys,
I have following problem with my G2 D802, yesterday I left my on the front seat of the car, it was sun and hot, 15 minutes after that I take it, the phone was shut-ed down. After pressing power button the phone restart several times and boot without network connection. I read for possible solutions and found that if I left phone turned of without sim for a few minutes after that the device will recognize the sim and it's happened, unfortunately for a 5 minutes, after that the phone restarts and display massage insert proper sim card. Several times I restore factory settings, without susses. The phone display message service disabled.
The phone is bought from Vodafon Uk, and was unlocked with code from internet, works properly for a 6 months. The phone is not rooted.
Thank you in advance for your help.

Hi,
I just found solution, the problem was in the sim card, I ask my provider to change it and now everything is ok . It's more curios for me that other phone works properly with the same sim.
