t-mobile uk - Hero, G2 Touch General

Hi people I've been using this forum as a guest for a few months, about time I singed up lol.
I have a problem I've managed to remove all my t-mobile apn settings, Does anyone have these to hand?
I am running MoDaCo Custom ROM 2.3 Core, I have a nandroide back up on my pc, if I 'rolled' back would that restore my settings?
thanks
chris

Aha! Snap, had the same problem, and posted the settings on that particular thread, but I'll c&p them here too

T-Mobile UK Internet Access

I have the XDA II - unlocked. I have just taken out a new contract with T-Mobile (uk) that also included a Nokia 7610. Now, I can put the sim card in my XDA II and make/receive phone calls, but I cannot for the life of me find any details whatsoever on how to set up the GPRS for internet use. Even T-Mobile couldn't help! I have been running round in circles and I am just about to grate my nipples off through frustration.
Anyone here know the T-Mobile UK internet access details? Pleaaaase

MMS on QTek S110

Hi there.
I've got a QTek S110 (as title) on O2 UK, and I'm trying to set up MMS messaging. I've spent quite a bit of time searching these forums and google, and although I've had a little success, it's still not working properly. The situation is this:
I can successfully configure the device to send MMS messages, and this works fine. The problem I currently have is with the receipt. If I'm connected to the O2 Wap GPRS connection I have set up for MMS, which sends the messages, then I usually can receive messages I send to myself from another phone. However, if this connection is not active, then the messages just get lost. I'm not notified at all that a message was incoming, and even if I manually connect the device, the message is not received. I never have any knowledge of its passing.
Can anyone help me with this? I'm beginning to go mad, I think...
Have you tried the original O2 MMS cab file from the ext-rom? You can find them on the ftp.

I hard-reset my device last night when trying to get it to work, and it didn't configure, so I guess the CAB isn't built into my rom. Could you give me a bit more guidance on the FTP server, I'll take a look myself, but not really sure what I'm looking for.
Thanks for the response.
I got kids, so I say: chips there's no UK O2 ext-rom uploaded on the ftp.
But I found you this:
Access point name: wap.o2.co.uk (contract customers) or payandgo.o2.co.uk (pay-as-you-go customers)
Username: o2wap (contract customers) or payandgo (pay-as-you-go customers)
Password: password
Authentication: Normal
Data bearer: GPRS
Gateway IP (proxy) address: 193.113.200.195
Session mode: Permanent
@ this site: http://www.filesaveas.com/mms.html
Hope it helps,

These are the settings I believe I'm using...
In connections, I have:
Advanced->Select Networks
Internet: O2 MMS Test
Private Network: O2 MMS Test
In tasks, I have
'O2 MMS Test' Is my connection
Manage existing connections->Modem tab->'O2 GPRS WAP'->Edit
-- Modem: Cellular Line (GPRS)
-- Access Point: wap.o2.co.uk
-- user: o2wap
-- password: password
-- advanced:
-- -- tcp/ip:
-- -- -- Use server-assigned: checked
-- -- -- Use software compression: unchecked
-- -- -- Use IP Header compression: unchecked
-- -- servers
-- -- -- DNS: 193.113.200.195
I have also, under the proxy tab, got
This network connects to the internet: checked
Uses a proxy server: checked
Advanced->
-- HTTP: 193.113.200.195 port 8080
I set this proxy as it allows me to access the internet through this connection; it doesn't seem to affect the MMS operation.
In MMS settings, I have:
Prefs:
Connect via: O2 MMS Test (the connection I set up)
Retrieve message immediately: checked
Ok to download when roaming: checked
Save sent messages: checked
Attempts before giving up: 5
Photo Res: 640x480
Servers:
Gateway: 193.113.200.195
Port: 9201
Server address: http://mmsc.mms.o2.co.uk:8002
Sending Size Limitation: 100K

Rereading your first post & adding up your last comments, I'm beginning to think to network screws up in this case. Either it doesn't register you as being offline, or it can't store & forward the MMS for you.
Maybe O2 themselve can help you in this, I don't think your device is incorrect configured.

I had similar issues with my S100 on Orange. I could send MMS to anyone but the only MMS I could received were if I sent them to myself. I think I've finally cured the problem with the latest T-Mobile MMS client.

So you're using different software for the MMS? Could you direct me to where I could download this/how to set it up.
Thanks

On the FTP
Copy the downloaded CAB file to your S110 and run it to install. MKae sure your messaging app is closed first though! If your wallpaper messes up once you've installed it just reset your wallpaper again.

The application is the same as the one packaged with the phone, just a newer version; so yes is the answer, it should work with austrian phones.
After logging on the ftp it tells me "file not found" ? btw: the app was made for s110 and mine is an s100 does that matter ?

That link still works for me, and it should be fine on an s100; there's not much difference between the two.

I too am looking for the settings, specially for MMS. Internet and SMS seem to work fine but MMS is a 'no-go.' Oh, I too am on WM6.5... and does anyone know what happened to T-Mo's configuration pages? Now it's a pay service?!?!
yea i need these settings too can someone post them on this page??
these settings are readily available on the internet.
If anyone gets charged any fees for using this dont complain to me. this is not exactly the best setup but it does work. all it is is the tzones proxy work around with a step or 2 added nothing that hasnt been posted before. but still its not my info i'm just passing it along.
In Settings/Connections/GPRS/T-Mobile Data:
Tmobile Data Connects to: WAPNetwork
Access Point: wap.voicestream.com
Add a 2nd GPRS option:
T-Mobile Data 2
Connects to: Work
Access Point: wap.voicestream.com
T-mobile internet
connects to : internet
access point: wap.voicestream.com
T-Mobile MMS
connects to : T-Mobile MMS
access point: wap.voicestream.com
Then create TWO Proxies:
Settings/Connections/Proxy
First Proxy:
Name:Tzones Proxy
Connects from: WAP Network
Connects to: The Internet
Proxy: 216.155.165.50:8080
Type: HTTP
Second Proxy:
Name Tzones Proxy 2 Connects from: Work
Connects to: The Internet
Proxy: 216.155.165.50:8080
Type: HTTP
after all of these settings have been completed install this cab http://forum.xda-developers.com/atta...8&d=1253220068 and reboot your device
MMS
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=5042335&postcount=633
Internet:
Settings/Connections/GPRS/T-Mobile Data and T-Mobile Internet
Access point: epc.tmobile.com
Everything is blank Priomary and Secondary DNS are 0.0.0.0
I have used internet2.voicestream.com for access point as well, but do not notice any difference anymore.

Need help on APN GPRS setting

I've been trying to set apn on my hero without luck. After trying in different phones and SIM carrier, my conclusion is that I need to set "authentication type" to PAP, the problem is there's no where i can make this setting on Hero. Is there any work around I can do that? I suppose there should be a configuration file i can work on.

What network are you on?..... There is no option to set anything to "PAP" on my phone and all works ok,... Give us some more details.
I'm in Cambodia, and this is the setting provided by the carrier. I got no luck no matter how i tried, i tried to contact the carrier but they're not that helpful. The phone dealer told me change the authentication to PAP if it doesn't work, that's how he solve many other cases. And according to that dealer, almost all android phone can't connet to the mentioned carrier, except Nexus and Milestone, not even the latest model like HTC desire or Xperia X10.
Internet Access Point Name (APN): cellcard
Data bearer/connection type: GPRS
User name: mobitel
Password: mobitel
Authentication: normal
WAP/Proxy address: 203.144.95.100
Port: 8080 (8080 for http and 9201 for wap)
Home page: http://www.cellcard.com.kh/mobile
Ok,....
Try this and let me know how it goes,...
Name: Cellcard GPRS
APN: cellcard
Proxy: 203.144.95.100
User name: mobitel
Password: mobitel
APN type: default
Leave everything else blank.
Then once entered, DO NOT press "BACK",... remember to press "MENU" then "SAVE".
i did the exact setting as your guide. no luck. and the attachement is what i get from phone information by *#*#34636#*#*
Clear the proxy field and try again.
still not working.
Just to clarify, this SIM card works fine on WM6 and other phones.
