MT3G
Followed the 1-click instructions from theunlockr.
Windows 7
Installed Vista64 drivers from HTC (which saw the device to install the drivers...)
I'm constantly getting "No devices found". What gives?
Does the SPL need to be updated to use ADB?
Have you tried any of the suggestions in this thread which was directly under yours?

hello everyone,
im having some trouble with my 32b vodafone magic. im hoping someone might be able to help me with.
i tried to update the rom to the jachero, but i didnt update the SPL first. now when i turn on the phone it just goes to the hero/htc splashscreen and keeps looping that. the phone wont load up fully.
i did some searches and found out that i could use the adb program in the android sdk, however when i load it nothing is showing in the devices list. i think this is because usb debugging is not enabled?
i can get into fastboot OK and cyans 1.4 recovery as well.
would it be possible for me to go into the console and type a command in there that would enable usb debugging? if so what do i need to type and how do i get the keyboard to appear in cyans recovery console in the first place? - (i have the usb drivers already installed on windows from the sdk)
other then that i was thinking i could just buy a micro sd card reader and copy the spl onto it that way and then update? and then update the ROM.
ive tried restore/wipe but that doesn't work for me either, i still keep getting stuck on the splash screen.
any help would be very much appreciated.
thanks a mill,
luke
hi again,
i thought id give some more info that might be of use, hopefully.
my current spl is 1.33.0004 and the radio is 2.22.19.26I
i tried using fastboot but everytime i try to flash a file onto the device i get remote: signature verify fail
thanks,
luke
hiyas, just a quick update, i went and got an sd card reader and updated the spl and then put the rom on it and its flying now.
I have a MyTouch 3G Fender that I can't seem to get working with ADB. Apparently because I have a corrupted or incomplete OS on it, I can't get it to work.
When I boot it up in Fastboot, it connects to the USB. I can use Fastboot commands in order to get SDK to read the device, but ADB does not work. It will not read the device, so I can not make a GoldCard for my MT3G 1.2
Can anyone help me with this issue? I have updated the USB drivers through SDK, and the only thing stopping me from here on out is getting the code for my phone to make a GoldCard.
Hi,
I just find this confusing: Everywhere it says "upgrade USB drivers if you want to use USPL or MTTY". (Like here)
So that makes me think that you don't need to do that when you have HSPL, right? So how do I get my rom onto my phone? It has HSPL (did that some time ago, but reinstalled windows since then) but of course my laptop won't recognize my phone and it just says 'Serial'.
This is really something that isn't clearly stated in the tutorial or the wiki...
When i try to install hspl3 an error message comes up saying "This application has failed to start because RAPI.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem.
I tried switching usb ports, sitll don't work
I booted into bootloader, and tried connecting with disk drive, still same error message
Sometimes my computer wouldn't let me install the drivers, but i tried a laptop at my friends house, it's saying the same thing on mine, with the drivers installed
Please help, im trying to install android nand
My SPl is 2.10.0000 and i know hspl3 supports that
Try this one, Extract the zip and run as administrator.
Do as the post above tells you too. Right click on the DFT utility and run it as administrator this is a must or you will get a error message everytime when trying to flash HSPL.
Rapi.DLL error is usually associated to activesync /wmdc not being up to date. Go download and install activesync for XP or wmdc for vista or 7. Yes. It's probably already installed, install it again.
Thankyou very much guys, it worked!
Yes, yes, I know, this device is practically as old as Android itself. But, I still use it! Which entitles me to at least something, right...?
Anyway, I've been trying to update this device from it's ancient firmware of Android 1.6 (it was never updated to 2.2). I tried using it on a Windows 10 machine, and of course the drivers don't work. So I tried it on Windows 7... Windows Vista... Windows XP 64-bit. None of them worked! Finally, I tried using Windows XP 32-bit. It was the only OS that recognized fastboot as "Android 1.0" for more than a few seconds. It wouldn't let me install the drivers, however, as it just told me that they weren't compatible. They are the lastest Android fastboot drivers, though, and I guess they don't play nice with... the oldest version of Android. I haven't been able to find older drivers though.
When running the RUU in normal Android OS mode, it says it can't detect the phone, and it's listed as a storage device in device manager.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, as I don't want this phone to die just yet!
EDIT: Nevermind, after a huge charade of dualbooting Windows and Ubuntu, I managed to get to the 2005 HBOOT and to flash the 32B Amon Ra recovery! Now to find a ROM that actually works
