Hey guys, Well I'm going staight to the point. My Jasjar is letrally DEAD. two days ago. the battery was about 4-2%. the phone kept showing a message that I should recharge the battery "abviousely", but the problem that I wasnt at home to recharge it. Anyways, the phone turned off after a while and I thought it was becuse of the battery. So, when I wanted to recharge the battery, there was nothing, the phone didnt turn on. I even replaced the battery, but no good, and to make things more confusing, when I remove the battery and put the charger, the red light turns on, which means that there is a response, and when I put the battery back, just nothing.
I really hope that someone here help me, because I desperately need the phone these days. please guys help me.
Sorry for the long topic but I tried to give details as much as I could
not to be too obviouse, but you have left it charging for a while? the Uni will not switch on until the battery has been charged for a bit. However, I do believe the red light it on at this stage, even though the Uni won't switch on. Also, new batteries may not come in charged state, so same problem.
Another test may be to charge the universal in a battery charger, rather than the Uni.

Also, another strange thing poped up. whnen I leave the phone with the battery in it without charging for a while, and I plug the charger, the red lightturns on for like a munite and turns off again !!!!
I really don't know what to do, I don't even know what caused this problem, but from your replys I can tell that the problem is from the battery, and nothing is worng with the phone, cuz someone told me that it's a motherbord problem. So, is my phone ok? is it just a battery problem??
Thx for the replys, BTW
Suggestions
Try your battery in another Uni.
Try another NEW battery in your Uni.(you've )
Try to see if your device can be put in bootloader so to know it is not dead completely.
Simple suggestions.
But ..Been there...Done that..worked.

Hey Guys,
I was using my phone yesterday all day and all was fine until last night when i turn it on to make a call the screen won't turn on. This is quite normal with my Wizard so what i normally do is take the battery out and put it back and power on.
But problem with last night is when i took the battery out, it won't power on again.
I have tried plugging into the charger but the charging light won't even lit up.
Can someone please give me some ideas of what i should do? This phone is less than one year old and still under warranty, but the problem is i bought this phone overseas and now living in Sydney.
Please shed some lights.
Thanks
Sounds like a faulty battery. You can try your friend/store battery to see if it works.
More info on your ROM (did you flash it, or is it using original ROM) and stuff would be helpful.

Hey hanmin,
Thanks for the reply, while everything on my Wizard is original ROM. I never upgrade it or downgrade it.
So yeah everything is the same. I would love to find out what version ROM i use but as you already know i cant power on the thing the sad thing is all my contacts is in there plus my life saver TomTom is on it as well, i almost die today without it.
I really hope its the battery, heading to the battery shop tomorrow, finger cross its the battery.
Thanks again
Greetings! First Off I'd like to say xda-developers rock! I've searched high and low for a solution to my prob and cannot quite find one. My Jasjar has a very hard time coming on. Most of the time a soft reset will not do the trick. I bought a brand new battery with no luck. If you take the battery out, wait about 4hrs or so, and put the battery back in sometimes it will boot to winmo and work fine for about 15min. then the screen will fade leaving blue lines across. After that it unresponsive even if you try to charge it. The battery meter in the phone reads 100%
Things I tried/done:
READ THE WIKI
reflush with several different roms.
bought a new battery
check the internal battery
shocked the internal batt with a 1.5 AA bat like mentioned in a post
updated/downgraded boot loader.
I'm at my wits end with this. I love the phone but i might have to sell it on ebay.
PLEASE HELP ME!

Did it fall on the ground? It could be mobo...
No it never fell on the ground or anything...like i said just the software trouble.
And very sorry about the postings i am doing but you can imagine having such a phone and unable to use it...
Hope all the experts here can help.
Recently i've updated my Atom Life to WM6.5 by chriscsh. It was very nice and lasted a whole day.
Before i sleep, I charge my phone and left it there. The next morning, the phone auto-shutdown and couldn't be turned on again. I did not install any 3rd party software in it.
When i plug my charger in, the orange light can still lit up(not blinking, just light on) but the Atom life is lifeless/can't turn on.
Is it brick/semi-brick? What can i do to save my Atom Life?
Anyone experience this before. If you still need more info please ask.
It just.. Died suddenly? that doesnt seem right. Try letting it charge for an hour and try turning it on. Also, you might want to consider the possibility of your battery being dead.
yea... it just died suddenly.
I tried charging it for awhile and try to turn it on.
The orange light is on when charging but still can't turn on.
Yesterday i ask my sister to help me send to some shops to see what's the problem. The staff there says it's IC chip problem.
And so i google for IC chip in atom but there's no such thing. Is the shop trying to con/scam me?
Haven't really try with another battery yet.
You're best bet would be to find another battery and possibly a charger and just try them out to help diagnose what the cause is. If it doesnt work with a substitute battery and/or a different charger then there is something sinisterly wrong and you should try and find a legit store to get your phone checked out.
Hey guys,
I am currently using Energy.Sense 2.1.21891.Phoenix2_04.Feb.2010 Rom and it was acting a little strange. It started saying i always had one text msg and the battery would fully charge less than 30 minutes while it was on. Now my phone won't even start. I tried plugging it into my computer, but it won't recognize it. I have tried using the rest button that was no help either. I tempted to do a hard rest, but no luck there. I also try plugging it into charge but the orange led light won't even come on.
If anyone has any suggestions i would greatly appreciate it
'...fully charge less than 30 minutes while it was on'
That sounds fishy to me.
Normally it works in both ways. A batt that lasts long needs to charge long.
Just shut down my HD, took the batt out and just connecting the USB cable to my laptop. The HD shows no life at all and doesn't start in any way.
Connected it without a batt to the 1Amp charger, nothing, nada, niente.
So I think there is a good chance that your batt is completely worn out or something with the charging circuit.
I would get a new cheap batt on ebay just to test.
thanks for the suggestion. I forgot i still have warranty on it for another month so i am going to take it back and see if they can repair it. if not ill try getting a new battery

Be careful sinds you say you have a different rom on the HD.
If they find out, bye bye warranty!
Hello guys,
Please help me figure out how can i boot or at least make my battery charging LED turn on...
Scenario: I leave my phone downloading some files while charging at 5%. But then when i got back, my phone is already dead... Can't boot up, that's maybe my battery get drained... I have tried reviving my battery using a clip charger, tested it with a AC/DC Tester and it shows its already fully charged.. But then when i get back to my phone, it won't even start, can't go to the recovery, or even no light even if it's plugged.... Please help...
Thank you
Were you flashing anything at the time or just downloading some files?
If you were just downloading general files then no harm should have been caused if the battery just died.
I would advise that you just leave it charging in the wall for a small period of time and hope for the best, if that fails find somebody with the same phone and try your battery in their phone/their battery in your phone and see if it's a firmware issue or a battery corruption.
Let me know if anything else crops up.
