maybe its stupid but please help touch screen issue - Shift General

hey guys
I know it might be stupid, but I need an answer
Sometimes on the vista side I use my fingers. SO whenever I touch the fringer with my finger a shape of a mouse appears, which is really annoying to me since I find it difficult to use my vista side with the sape of a mouse under the pointer.
Please help me get rid of this mouse shape, which settings should I adjust so the pointer does not show a mouse everytime I touch the screen

dude no questions stupid
go into control panel
double tap pen and input devices
now tap on the last tab called touch.
bottom section remove tick from touch pointer
that mouse was bloody anoying. prehaps on a bigger screen it may have come in handy......

start menu opens when touching screen with finger

Hi,
When I use my finger on my HTC trinity screen (rather than using the stylus) sometimes the start menu opens. At first I didn't understand why, but then when I opened the notes application and used my finger to draw on the screen I noticed that sometimes a line appears from my finger to the top left corner of the screen, even though I didn't touch there... It's as though the screen is confused and it detects a touch on the top left corner.
Anyone have a clue why this is happening?
I have no idea why this happens, but I do have the same problem. So far I've been ignoring it. I'm on Schap's 4.30.
This is a well know bug on Trinity, read here.

Is it possible to adjust screen size

I am a noob and this is my first post, so go easy on me. I have a mogul phone and one of the problems i have is trying to use my finger to press icons or words that are in the corners of the screen. For instance the X button, or the start button, or the (soft Key)? buttons at the bottom of the screen. And especially the Keyboard (SIP) icon. Is there anyway to "draw in the whole screen size" so it could pull these icons away from the corners and sides. I didnt have this issue withe the iphone as their screen is flush with the edges of the device so my finger could still hit on part of the icon.

First as a noob, don't start a thread, direct your questions to:

Second, you should look at some of the more finger-friendly approaches. Manilla 2D is a very good one. Besides most of the task you mentioned can be achieved by using a hardware button.
Welcome, one of the first thing you are gonna hear from anyone here is do a search or rtfw (read the f****** wiki)
second of all like wearefree already stated just about all the function you are trying to do can be accoplished with a hardware button (which are much more accurate)
try manilla 2d for basic function but your phone is capable of doing just about anything you want to you just need to be able ask google the right questions

[IDEA]Multitouch with dpad and screen!

Hi everyone!
I have an idea, but I have never programmed in windows mobile and I don't know if It's hard to do or not, or if already exist.
The diamond and the touch pro has 2 type of input, the resistive screen and the d-pad (capacitive and multitouch), it's possible use both input together? For example, with the thumb I touch the d-pad and with the forefinger I touch the resistive screen, so when I move the forefinger up or down it's possible to zoom and if I move it right and left I can rotate.
Otherwise a gesture recognition, I touch the dpad with a finger and with another finger I draw a shape on the screen and an application start.
What do you think about this idea?
PS: sorry for my bad english

[Q] way to change settings on keyboard touchpad?

Hi guys, does anyone know of any way to get to a settings menu for the touchpad on the keyboard dock? I would really like to disable the option that makes it act as a click when I touch the touchpad. Any time I'm typing with the touchpad on, my hand or finger will accidentally touch the trackpad and click on something. I've started disabling the whole mouse option while typing, but that adds a few extra steps every time I want to type something.
You can disable the touchpad completely with a button on the keyboard (5th button i think...)

[Q] trackpad

After the recent update the trackpad has reverted to its original setting, I must admit I preferred the trackpad mirroring finger use on the screen moving your fingers upwards to push the screen upwards, and swiping down to move the screen down has on the screen. Getting rid of the flakey pinch to zoom, and the option to use mouse pointer instead of gesture pointer is welcome. Keyboard lag greatly reduced.
I am pretty sure the gestures have been reverted back to save any backlash from apple, My Macbook pro pushes the screen up using upward motion on the trackpad, also the physical design of the keyboard dock from above closely mirrors the MBP.
Is there an option to use the trackpad in either direction as I cannot see one in settings?
Paul
I'm not sure if it affects the scrolling direction, but there is an option under Keyboard & Input to change the mouse pointer. I'd play with that.
Yes done that and changed mouse pointer back to arrow instead of circle. There is no option for track pad screen movement.
appologies your right, just have to live with the circle curser in gesture mode
