[Q] way to change settings on keyboard touchpad? - Eee Pad Transformer General

Hi guys, does anyone know of any way to get to a settings menu for the touchpad on the keyboard dock? I would really like to disable the option that makes it act as a click when I touch the touchpad. Any time I'm typing with the touchpad on, my hand or finger will accidentally touch the trackpad and click on something. I've started disabling the whole mouse option while typing, but that adds a few extra steps every time I want to type something.

You can disable the touchpad completely with a button on the keyboard (5th button i think...)

Swype - Temp disable swyping?

Just wondering if there is a quick way to disable the swyping on the swype keyboard.
Love Swype but sometimes a std keyboard would be easier and I find I am changing back to the HTC keyboard for the odd message and then back again.
What swype needs is a quick way to turnoff the swype funtion and go Dumb mode.
Problem is if I type to quickly it starts picking it up as swypes
Thanks
Check settings, menu, all settings, personal, input.
Tought you could change it over there.
Thanks for the response however not really worried about switching between swype and another keyboard. More hoping there is a quick way to keep swype but make it faster as a normal keypad.
Some of my messages (Txt or Email) Swype is a bit of a hinderance. Trying to touch (tap tap) is painfully slow and so is switching between keyboards. (Bottom center. Tap slightly to the right will prompt for type of keyboard).
Eg entering in information and funny names I would like to tap one of the sype buttons and swype function is temporaily disabled. I then type what I need to (tap tap tap) then tap the key again and the swype function is reenbled and I carry on (swype swiggle swishe)
I feel your pain. Unfortunately, there isn't an option in Swype to turn of the "swyping" as you eloquently put it.
Hope they come out with a newer build that could do that and one where you can access the EDITING options with just one button press.
i simply press the small arrow next to the keyboard icon on the bottom of screen , and toggle to the normal, htc regular keyboard
edit: sorry, overlooked the op's main concern, please ignore

Hey, quick tip
you can quickly access the Editing options by swyping from the 'swype key' to the 'SYM key'

[Q] Keyboard shortcuts with apple keyboard

Hey there everyone, I just got an Apple Bluetooth Keyboard and I was wandering if there is some kind of list that tells the possible keyboard shortcuts available.
so far, I´ve found that cmd+f4 puts it to sleep or wakes it up, but I cannot "unlock" it. That is the main thing I want to find out how to do, but as much as I try, I cannot find the shortcut.
This might not be the same for you since I have a nook, not a tab, but...
For me the cmd key doesn't seem functional. Cmd-f4 and f4 both toggle the screen on/off and lock it (but not unlock)
The menu button seems to be mapped to to f1. Hitting escape seems to behave like the back button (gg vi from the terminal emulator).
The thing seems to very much map to the soft-keyboard. For example, alt-a makes a # (pound sign). Even more like the soft keyboard, you don't have to hold the alt. Push alt, release. Push a release, and you have #.
Also sometimes when I am just typing away it pops up randomly with a little window with options for random accented characters. I haven't found a pattern with that yet, but it is extremely annoying.
Hitting shift twice turns on caps lock, but the real caps lock doesn't work.
This line up with the Tab's behaviour? Anyone else find any useful shortcuts, or know a good reference? I'm betting a lot of these behaviours are shared between android devices and random bluetooth keyboards.

[Q] A500 keyboard question

How do you set caps lock on the Acer A500 keyboard? I use that feature a lot and as it is I have to hold down the shift key for each capital letter. Most keyboards have a caps lock. Anyone found the key to this minor problem????
Just double tab the shift key
Thanks a lot. I had tried to double tap but evidently I did not make good on my second tap. It does work and thanks again.

Touchy Track Pad on the Dock?

Several times I've had the ring cursor suddenly appear, highlight text, then it gets deleted as i'm in the middle of typing. anyone else had this happen? i'm assuming that my thumb is just close to the trackpad? Any way to adjust the sensitivity on this thing? I regularly use the dock as a mini laptop and do work on it, so this is very frustrating - especiallly in email where there is no undo function.
TIA

You can disable the touchpad by pressing the 4th button from the left in the shortkey row.
To improve your user experience of the TF+dock, I strongly urge you to learn all those shortcuts.

[Q] Disable Buttons

Hi all
I am wondering about something. Is There a way to disable the onscreen buttons, when the keyboard is open? But now can the main question is can the back button be left enabled so you can close the keyboard. I find that I am constantly hitting the home button when using the keyboard, and would love to have that disabled while the keyboard is open.
Thanks to any help.
Regards
Roars
