Hi,
When I use my finger on my HTC trinity screen (rather than using the stylus) sometimes the start menu opens. At first I didn't understand why, but then when I opened the notes application and used my finger to draw on the screen I noticed that sometimes a line appears from my finger to the top left corner of the screen, even though I didn't touch there... It's as though the screen is confused and it detects a touch on the top left corner.
Anyone have a clue why this is happening?
I have no idea why this happens, but I do have the same problem. So far I've been ignoring it. I'm on Schap's 4.30.
This is a well know bug on Trinity, read here.

I am a noob and this is my first post, so go easy on me. I have a mogul phone and one of the problems i have is trying to use my finger to press icons or words that are in the corners of the screen. For instance the X button, or the start button, or the (soft Key)? buttons at the bottom of the screen. And especially the Keyboard (SIP) icon. Is there anyway to "draw in the whole screen size" so it could pull these icons away from the corners and sides. I didnt have this issue withe the iphone as their screen is flush with the edges of the device so my finger could still hit on part of the icon.

First as a noob, don't start a thread, direct your questions to:

Second, you should look at some of the more finger-friendly approaches. Manilla 2D is a very good one. Besides most of the task you mentioned can be achieved by using a hardware button.
Welcome, one of the first thing you are gonna hear from anyone here is do a search or rtfw (read the f****** wiki)
second of all like wearefree already stated just about all the function you are trying to do can be accoplished with a hardware button (which are much more accurate)
try manilla 2d for basic function but your phone is capable of doing just about anything you want to you just need to be able ask google the right questions
Dear all,
I just got my X1i. I find that the sensitivity of the screen is OK but when I quickly tap twice consecutively, for example when typing using on-screen keyboard where I will tap twice very quickly, my X1 just senses my input as a long click. For example when I am using notes, I put one finger on the left side and another on the right side. When I tap on the right then lift up my finger, and quickly tap on the left, it will result in a staight line instead of just 2 points.
Are there any tweaks I can do in the registry to minimize the time to wait for another tapping? So that it can recognize a new tap as soon as I finish my first tap?
Sorry for my poor English.
Anyone knows how??
ok, so ive noticed that sometimes when i pull down the notification shade that my first tap doesnt get recognized....but if i close the shade and reopen, then my finger press gets recognized. or when i try to tap on one of the 'recent' applications section of the shade, i need to double tap sometimes.
sometimes to a lesser extent, i notice this in the market when i press the search box too. most times though everything gets recognized with a quick tap instead of needing a firm delayed tap or double tap.
anybody think this is a bug?
ive looked around a little and nobody seems unhappy with the touch sensitivity/grounding so not sure what to do...
but ive never had it happen on the lockscreen or launcher bar or other programs that i can remember either.
This happens to me sometimes. It doesn't bother me. It may be a small bug but I suspect it is actually the trackpad pulling focus. Sometimes the trackpad will detect a slight input and place focus on a nearby screen icon or menu item, depending on which type of screen you're on. The focus highlight is subtle and hard to notice so that "first tap" might actually be your finger pulling focus back to your intended selection. Your second tap opens it.
Hello all,
I have problem with something I can call "locked scrolling". Sometimes when I scroll in e.g. Opera then the scrolling "lock" somehow (I put my finger, scroll down/up, lift my finger but scrolling returns to position where I have put my finger first). I can "unlock" it when I put my finger on very top of the screen and scroll quickly to very bottom of the screen but a few scrolling and it "lock" again It occures even in other apps while scrolling. I have searched the XDA-Forum and even google but with no luck Has anyone an idea how to fix it please?
[EDITED/SOLVED]Latest update of Onibabar was causing the INSTALL BUTTON to become unresponsive, when using a file explorer, after selecting to have the battery bar on the left or right side of the screen. Having the bar at the top or bottom of the screen won't effect it, but when the left or right side of screen has the battery bar going down it, the INSTALL BUTTON can no longer be used.
Try with Solid Explorer
Re: [Q]Install Button Non-Responsive
Were you updating an app? Press the all tab
have you installed a screen adjusting program lately ?
SOLVED!

I actually saw this suggestion after doing some further research but it turned out to be a different 3rd party app...

And yes, it started happening after an update done to Onibabar. Its an app that places a battery bar on your screen and up until just recently it could only be positioned on either the top or bottom of the screen. After the update, it now allows the bar to be placed going down the left or right side of the screen as well AND its when either one of these options is selected that the INSTALL BUTTON becomes unresponsive!!
