I'm not using the auto backlight option anymore, so I disabled it and enabled the backlight slider with a registry trick:
HKLM:\Software\Power\EnableAutoHideBacklightSlider
(change Dword to 0)
All I want now is to assign a button to toggle the screen manually to a brighter level. In another forum I found an app:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=413137
Can somebody confirm it works with the Touch HD?
I didn't enable the slider, but I set the LSK to call Power.exe, which will bring up the Power page so that I can adjust backlight, turn on/off auto backlight easily.

Is there an application out there that allows user to adjust backlight setting through a (up/down) button ??
My exec seems to be very random with the keyboard backlight. Sometimes it works fine at night and other times it does not want to play at all.
And ideas??
Thanks
Could be down to the automatic backlight function, try turning it off and setting it so it comes on whenever you press a key

Is there anyway to toggle the backlight when a certain program is open (for example gpsdash) so the backlight does not time out?

:?
The "Backlight On" button, to the left of the volume slider at the front of the unit...Right now, it can only turn on the screen/display when the display is off (using a Dopod 900 with the latest Dopod 900 English ROM). Is there a way to set the button to "toggle" the screen/display between on and off instead of just turning the display on?
VJEschaton should do this.

Thanks. But I can't find where I can map the command to the "Backlight" button. It's not in Buttons from the Settings Panel.

Hello. I was trying to disable Auto Screen Lock on that way
27. Disable Auto Screen Lock
If you use S2U2, you would have hated the double lock annoyance. Now you can turn off default Auto Screen Lock.
Go to HKCU\ControlPanel\Keybd and change DeviceLockWhenSuspend to 0
Click to collapse
But there is no such reg entry Is there any other way to disable that function?
create the entry my friend. i.e. new......dword.....name it DeviceLockWhenSuspend nd set value to 0. restart. done
Thanks man. Now it's working
But there is still the problem with double locking if you press "end call" button when using s2u2. Anyone has a solution for that?
