Hello. I was trying to disable Auto Screen Lock on that way
27. Disable Auto Screen Lock
If you use S2U2, you would have hated the double lock annoyance. Now you can turn off default Auto Screen Lock.
Go to HKCU\ControlPanel\Keybd and change DeviceLockWhenSuspend to 0
Click to collapse
But there is no such reg entry Is there any other way to disable that function?
create the entry my friend. i.e. new......dword.....name it DeviceLockWhenSuspend nd set value to 0. restart. done
Thanks man. Now it's working
But there is still the problem with double locking if you press "end call" button when using s2u2. Anyone has a solution for that?

I'm not using the auto backlight option anymore, so I disabled it and enabled the backlight slider with a registry trick:
HKLM:\Software\Power\EnableAutoHideBacklightSlider
(change Dword to 0)
All I want now is to assign a button to toggle the screen manually to a brighter level. In another forum I found an app:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=413137
Can somebody confirm it works with the Touch HD?
I didn't enable the slider, but I set the LSK to call Power.exe, which will bring up the Power page so that I can adjust backlight, turn on/off auto backlight easily.

Thanks for your advise anyway.
Hi, is there a way or an app I can use to trigger the device lock manually? I don't mean the simple lock where the screen is disabled. I want the windows lock screen with the password. I set the device to lock after 1 hour of inactivity but I want a way to manually trigger it anytime.
You can use the lockscreen app here and set to lock on Suspend. Then pushing the power button will lock.
Alternatively, you can set the Call End key to activate the lock, so a long press on End will also lock the device. Go to Settings\Personal\Buttons and go the End Key tab and choose appropriate setting.
Thanks for the reply. I tried the End Key but it only works if you disable the auto-lock when inactive setting. And when it works, it only does a screen lock without the PIN entry. I would like to lock the screen with the pin entry
Hello Guys,
How can I disable Treo Keyboard Lock button so it doesnt lock the keyboard when the center button is pressed twice.
Also is there a way for me to disable the top soft power reset button?
Thanks for all your help
Are you talking about the Treo Pro?
I lock my Pro by pressing the End Call button twice, not the DPad.
Second I don't have a (soft) reset button that I can access without removing the back cover of the device.

found the fix,
This is how I disabled Keylock.
First disable the option in the settings.
Then go to HKLM/Services/KGUServ
Rename the KeyGuardUI.dll. I renamed mine to KeyGuardUI.dll2, saved the change and restarted the phone.
or one could try this HKLM\SOFTWARE\system\keytouch
there will be a setting the is called "IsscreenAlign" you can change the that value to either one or zero. Example if there's a 1 for that value change it to zero.
Also useful for anyone when there keyguard getting diabled go there and change that value
thanks to briandigital, it really help me, but in my device it at HKLM\system\keytouch
Is there anyway to make a shortcut to "lock" in Start --> lock ? No app works fine for me, so I have to do it manualy. Thanks
Several options:
1. Set your long press end-key to map to lock.
2. If you use WinMo 6.5, the left soft key in the start menu is for lock.
3. Try this.
I got another question... is there anyway to change START --> LOCK to a different program?
I use S2U2 and I would like to have the LOCK soft key after going into the Start Menu to point to S2U2 instead of the default lock application.

Tap the power button, it locks. Works great. I hated this phone until I got that app, because I kept calling people for no reason.

i just edited a registry setting for it to automatically lock when i hit the suspend button.
I installed S2U2 and quickly decided I didn't like it, so I closed it and then uninstalled and then did a soft reset and the S2U2 lock screen was gone however there is no lock screen.
I press my hardware end key and it turns the screen off, when I press it again normally it would display the lock screen however it just wakes the phone and doesn't display the lock screen.
If I hold the end key and select lock screen then it will display the lock screen but when I unlock it and then lock my phone using the end key it doesn't show the lock screen on waking up again.
aLlamaWithARifle, when you install S2U2 it disables autolock so you won't have an issue with S2U2 double locking. To fix, use a registry editor and go to: HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Shell\Lockscreen and look for "Enable" and set it's dword to 1. Soft reset. If that doesn't work go to HKCU\ControlPanel\Backlight\ and look for AutoDeviceLockEnable dword should be 1.
If you don't like messing with the registry, you can install bsb tweaks, if you haven't already, and enable autolock there.
Hope that helps
I edited the registry but the lockscreen enabled was already set to 1, tried autodevicelock to 1 and did a soft reset but still not working.
Try this: HKCU\ControlPanel\Keybd DeviceLockWhenSuspend and set it to 1. Softreset.
