I currently have a sprint HTC Vogue and I am trying to flash the Verizon PRL onto it so I can use it on the PagePlus network. Everything I have seen says to dial #775#, but when I do that, my phone just tries to dial the number. I was using NSFAN's rom, and I even tried other roms and it does the same thing. Any help with this will be greatly appreciated.

Which rom are you using now? If you are flashing a custom rom, more than likely you have a folder called "Phone Codes" somewhere in the Start menu. In there, you will have one that is called PRL. You have to have the MSL code to change this value though.
Get the PRL that you need and dump it somewhere in your phone. When you open the PRL program in phone codes (and you enter the MSL code), simply tap and hold where it says the PRL version and click on "Edit" (or whatever option you get), look for yours, and presto! Save, exit (you will be asked to soft reset).
Hope this helps.
Thanks. I have the MSL. I am flashing the official Sprint WM6.1 rom right now out of desperation, but I can put whatever on there. Do I need a custom rom in order to use the "phone codes" folder?

To get it in folder format, yes. But if you are going for a stock rom, then simply use the codes and you'll be in good shape.
I want to change PRL in my HTC.
I can access to ##775#.
But I can't find anywhere to PRL file in my phone.
I want to change PRL by myself.
Sometimes, I can use my phone.
But most of times, it shown searching and if i got signal, it shown antenna only. So how should I do? Please help me.

Have you tried to use the *228 (or whatever Sprint's equivalent is)? It should automatically provision your device.

When I flashed my Sprint Vogue for Verizon usage... I first had to flash the newest stock Verizon ROM (You can find it on NuAngel's goodies page at the bottom! Yes the radio change one!), then flash a Verizon PRL to the phone. Nu told me I would have to reunlock the phone afterward, but I didn't need to.
I was then able to dial *228 and program the phone! After the phone was programed, I could finally flash ROMs onto it and still have working service. This phone didn't like NuVogue 5 (even though most of NuVogue's development was done on this phone.. wtf). Nu cooked a Verizon specific NuVogue 5 and it worked a bit better, but I remained on stock until I was able to cook my own build (still working on, I have plans on posting it after conferring with Nu and stealingz some of his ideas).
I can update the phone roaming via *228 only with the stock Verizon ROM (does not work on ANY cooked ROMS I have tried!!), but because the phone still has a Sprint PRI (feel free to message me instructions on switching to a Verizon PRI, cause I haven't found them yet), I get the roaming triangle. I used the latest moded PRL found in this thread here (51831) and I've been great ever since.
I try to avoid Carrier generic ROMs (or cooking my in development "XevRev" [tentative name] as generic) since they reflash the PRL, which is just a pain in the butt imo. I plan on trying NuVogue 6 when Nu and I go to hang at his place sometime this coming week, I want to see if its improved over the previous release on this phone. Can't explain why the release ran so waked out in v5 on this phone..... anyway...).
*links removed because I haven't been validated by the mods. I recommend site admin get a Stop-forum-spam (Google to find since I can't link) plugin for his vB forum. XD It's a lot easier then manually chasing down spam.. trust me.*
Got the Droid X to activate it on Alltel like I did very successfully with my Eris.
Installed HW virtual serial port software, created the virtual serial port, phone was detected and showing up correctly in QPST, went directly to CDMA Workshop and ripped the NV file from the phone, edited all the NV information to alltel's 3G provisioning with a HEX translator, uploaded the NV file to the phone and uploaded the Alltel PRL... all seemed well. Restarted the phone, it now shows no service. When I go to Settings, it tells me the baseband version is "unknown" and it doesnt know the ESN or anything, that isn't good. I tried reconnecting to CDMA workshop, if I try to restore original NV file, it doesn't know the SPC anymore so it doesn't allow it, SPC 000000 isn't recognized now. How can I recover the radio ? I tried restoring it (hard reset) through the settings, security menu AND the Power+home buttons way. After restoring, still no service and SPC is still incorrect, how do I get the radio back to default values ? CAn I reflash the phone? Anyone know where the factory rom is so I can do this ? Ah man, help me please :O
Other than that, I guess I'll have to have motorola take a look at it since I don't have it signed up to a verizon account, my bet is that verizon won't help me. thanks
Did a system "full reboot" help any??
No it hard resets normally and reboots to the welcome wizard, functions perfectly, but still "No Service" and "unknown" baseband in the settings...
I'm thinking I'll have to have the stock Rom file to flash my phone, hopefully this will flash the factory baseband too or maybe tomorrows update will fix my broken baseband, looks like from the information, it updates the baseband, wonder if it will update a totally dysfunctional baseband?
Yikes,.. this blows.
I don't understand why you didn't back up the rom if you were attempting something like this.
There is a Droid X update coming pretty soon, so I'm sure by that time the new rom will be available.
Well, I backed up the NV items, I figured that would be sufficient, guess not, Trial and error I suppose, but you're right.
What software do I use to back up the rom of the Droid X ? I know there is a key sequence on the Droid, what about the droid X ? The recovery screen (Power + Home) brings me to a menu allowing system recovery/wipe install update.zip from memory card, and thats it.
I have a buddy right here in town down the block that got the droid x with me, can I back the rom up off of his and flash that rom to my phone?
Help is SO appreciated...
EDIT
The system dumps that are floating around the web, is that a ROM backup ? http://www.droidxforums.com/forum/droid-x-hacks/114-new-droid-x-retail-dump-straight-out-pot.html
Can I put that file in the SD card as update.zip and flash it?

why not use QXDM to modify the ESN?
Worth a shot...
You can try using the motorola troubleshooter. Its what they use to update your phone anyways and since the new update came out you might be able to install over what you did...I cant post a link because Im new but follow the instructions below and it will walk you through the update process via computer. I figure with a phone thats not working its worth a shot.
Go to Motorola's website and click the droid advert right on the left side of the screen.
Under the "Support" tab in the upper right hand corner is another tab called "Owner Support" click on that.
On the left hand side there are more tabs so this time click on "Update My Software"
It will give you a list of options, choose "Via Computer"
From here it will check your computer for their software and prompt you to download it. Its the troubleshooting software and it will ask you a few questions, its also what they use to update your software via computer so it may be capable of flashing your phone for you. Best of luck and let us know what the end result is.
I haven't tried either of these... but I'm about to start flashing a droid X to cricket and bookmarked these posts in case I mess something up. Proceed with caution as I have no first hand experience with these.
I'm still trying to get a handle on if the service programming parameters (the spc, MDN, MIN, SID, etc.) are updated as part of baseband updates, it sounds like they are since they are saying the device needs to be re-activated after applying either of these updates.
If a baseband update refreshes the service programming parameters here are the two ways I've found of updating the baseband:
Here's a link to a post for updating the baseband portion of your device (without updating the ROM):
http://alldroid.org/Default.aspx?tabid=62&g=posts&t=246
I don't know if this will work on a device that doesn't have a valid baseband prior to the update. Regardless, if your phone is bricked this may be a valid option to try.
There is also a 2.1 SPL file floating around which is the entire system image, the baseband and the rom. You will need to use rsdlite to apply this image to your phone. DO NOT APPLY THIS IF YOU ARE RUNNING FROYO.
For the life of me I cannot get this phone to unlock for a different sim
Ive tried the sgs unlock tool on both stock and a 2.2 froyo rom
I tried the windows tool posdted in another thread....the one with generatecode.bat ....it worked but it doesnt display a code on either the stock 2.1 update 1 rom or the foryo one....I dont know what to do
and yes im rooted
The windows tool worked for me from stock.
It doesn't generate a code though you input one.
Edit: link

Scroll down for instructions.
Did you try the sgs unlock PRO version?
I jsut bought the pro version and it doesnt want to work....it says it unlocked it when i use the unlock sim option and when i use the root or non root to show the code i get a unkown error
Call Tmo customer service. Tell them that you will be traveling overseas and you want to use a foreign SIM. Ask for the unlock code for your phone.
They will ask you for your phone's IMEI number.
Then in a few hours, or a day at the most they will send you the unlock code and instructions.
I dont understand why the paid app isnt working either....it just says no codes found unkown error and tmo wont give it to me....i hate them anyways
The app didn't work for me either. Did you try the solution I suggested above?
I use my phone in London the majority of the time having used that. It took me a few tries but it worked.
I agree with the earlier post that you can try asking tmo. They gave me the unlock code for my old blackberry after providing the IMEI.

I would get the error as well, but it did unlock. When you choose unlock phone, does it tell you to restart the phone with your SIM card?
Hello Everyone,
Let me start off by apologizing if this has been asked. I tried to search for it, but did not have the best luck. I have the HTC Trophy (SPARK_W) by Verizon. I used one of the downgrade methods based on my SPL using a RUU to 1.3, and then was able to use DFT and HSPL to flash roms and radios. The problem I have, is that no matter what rom I use, or radio - everytime I try to make a call it rings a few times then I get a message from a verizon recording that says "Welcome to Verizon Wireless, there was an error processing your call. Please power down your device and try again." When I do the *228 I do receive the programming successful messagge, and *22889 to reactivate the data side is o.k. When I try the ##778# for manual programming, my phone just sits at the field test Loading.... screen. Is there anyone that could try to help me restore operation to my device. I'm not a total noob at this, but this was my first WP7 try, and I am honestly not as familiar with the processes as with Android. Thank you all in advance. I've tried full resets too. I think I made a paper weight? Let me know if you need more info - Below are my phones current details:

Okay, lots of detail. We can fix this, this issue is common.. unfortunately. There are post on this, but non of them have their own topic, so don't worry about searching for it.. I'll explain what you need to do.
I'm guessing if you try to place a call you get the error "we're sorry, your phone can not be authenticated" blah blah... here we go, its fixable but it takes a bit to fix it. Try dialing #632 to place a test call and see if you get this message.. if you can make phone calls.. skip all the crap directly after this and go to LAST THING TO TRY. In my experience, I have had data as well, but couldn't place phone calls, so that part is normal for this issue.
What you need:
Another phone compatible with the data plan. An android phone is fine.. if you don't have another phone, private message me and I'll let you "borrow" the MEID of my 3rd Trophy just for that step (this is nothing illegal all you weirdos that won't read the entire post!).
Older SparkW roms do not have a Xap Deployer that support the field test tools (and it also breaks part of *228 programing), so you need to either use my XevRev rom, or a newer release of sianto1997's 7.8 rom (flashing back to stock is also a option).
1) Flash either of those roms first... set them up and skip programming... THEN do a factory reset! Don't do the factory reset step on a rom that caused the problem. I don't know why but it won't help you fix your issue.
2) Log-on to your Verizonwireless account and switch the phone to a different one that is compatible with your data plan.. then switch it right back to your SparkW (VZW Trophy) [If you don't do this step, the only other way I've found to fix this problem is to leave your phone off for two days or so after fully programming it].
3) After switching the plan back to your SparkW, fully program it it via *228. Dial #634 and it should tell you that your test call has been successful.
LAST THING TO TRY
(In your case, you shouldn't need to do this, but this is for others that may want to troubleshoot later on.)
If after doing all of this, you should at least have voice, but may not have data. Put the phone on wifi and download HTC Connection Setup (from HTC tab of the market). Open it up and select Verizon Wireless in the carrier settings. Restart the phone. See if your 3G icon is back and make sure wifi is off, test data out by browsing to a webpage or something.
Anyone who complains that running Connection Setup on their Verizon HTC Trophy killed their data connection... just run it one more time after and it should come right back.. k?
Hope this gets you back up and running. This issue is one of the reasons I spent a week talking to ultrashot to try and figure out why SparkW's had this issue, updating Xap Deployer in cooked roms did the trick!
THANK YOU!
Thank you so much. I went through all of the steps you provided. Switch the phones out, then back did the trick. I now have your rom, radio/3g/sms all working. Thank you very much. It is most appreciated.

Awesome, glad to help.
Any hope for someone with only one phone? I tried UPE, latest as of April 1, 2013 and it ended up not wanting to boot.
Long time lurker, first time poster. Please be detailed in your explanation, I still consider myself a noob.
What happened:
I got a google play error that would not let me do anything, so I reimaged a stock ROM to my S4 with Odin. Everything worked fine at this point. I realized I didn't back up my text messages, and looked for a SMS recovery software. The software ran and didn't find anything. Later, I rebooted my phone.
My Problem:
After the reboot my phone came up but had a red X over my signal bars. I tried to Self activate, that did nothing. my phone says: "Preparing network..." in the status bar, but it's not doing anything. In my phone status menu it says unknown for all of the following: Network, Mobile network type, My phone number, MIN, MEID, IMEI, ICCID, Software version, Baseband version.
From what I've found it looks like it's a EFS corruption issue, but I wasn't able to find a fix with working links (and it was an older thread). Does anyone know of a method to fix this? I took it to the sprint store and the guy said he's never seen anything like this before.
Additional info:

android version: 4.4.2

I've flashed several official and unofficial ROMs to see if I'd have any luck with them. So far nothing changes this. It looks like the files are corrupted, but there must be a way to change/fix this. It's just software, so there has to be someone who knows how to fix or modify this file, group of files, whatever it is? even if it's with a hex editor.
So the end result was I sent the phone into the Samsung service center. They took care of everything with no charge since it was still under warranty (barely). Everything working fine now. And the process was quick and painless, they even paid for shipping both ways.
Glad that it worked out. I just wanted to say i have had success with dfs cdma tool for ESN repair in the past on my sprint S4.
It's confusing when you first launch the program, however you don't have to buy the full version to use. If you want to look into that, try a search for esn repair on Google.
sprint galaxy s4-Unknown MEID, IMEI, ICCID, service state
I have no idea what happened with my phone, one minute was working fine next it was like everything got earsed from the phone. Like above my phone is saying Unknown MEID, IMEI, ICCID, service state just everything in the about phone or satus says unknown. I have tried getting in to the ##3424# diag screen and it asks for msl, i put it in , well it wont even click ok, or nothin, i have tried using odin, even hard reset, and some reason i can't this info back, and one know what happened?
