Pocket Outlook limited to six email accounts? Any fix? - Touch HD General

I've just discovered that I can't add a new email account because I've reached the limit. I've created six accounts of my own. When I try to add a new one I get an error message telling me I've reached the limt. This limit seems bizarre and arbitrary.
Is there any way to increase the number of accounts that I can create? Some kind of registry setting?

Outlook E-mail POP3 Setup - Name already assigned problem

Hello,
I seem to be having a problem with the built in email client on my XDA Exec. Every so often the built in Outlook Mail Client seems to "loose" my POP 3 account. However when I try to add it back in it tells me that:
"That name is already assigned to another account. Enter a unique name and try again"
Now I could keep adding it back in with a different name each time but that is a pants solution. Any thoughts as to how I can permanently fix this issue?
I have trawled through the registry but cannot find within it the name I used when I created the POP3 account.
[I have also noticed that it seems to loose the registration information for SunnySoft Back up as well!]
Many thanks
Change name POP3 in account configuration step 1 or 2 to another like mail1, mail 2. You have to use different names for settings

if only it was that simple. The original entry is no longer visible! So I cannot change it. And I cannot see it in the registry to delete it either. Any idea where does Pocket Outlook store its config information?
No i don't know
losing email accounts
Did you ever see "No GSM" when soft reset? Then get your machine replaced. Check my postings.

Pocket Outlook - SPAM!

Couple questions regarding the Pocket Outlook.
Anyone have a good method of blocking friggin spam and junk mail? I dont see an option within the app to "block senders" or anything.
If I use Outlook on my desktop and I have multiple "rules" and blocked addresses set up, if I allow my ppc to sync with my desktop outlook, will those rules and settings transfer over?
I know most of you prolly use gmail or yahoo. The issue I have with those is that I receive from multiple accounts. I know you can receive from multiple pop accounts with these, but I have not found a means to actually SEND from these pop addresses on the ppc. Course it is entirely possible I didn't set it up properly.
Looking for email solutions. Thanks.
I run about 8 imap accounts. The only solution to this problem being that i had crazy spam (over 800 a day on som accounts) is running flexmail. It handles imap, pop and txt (sms).
One of the many great things about "flexmail 2007" is that it has the ability to add rules! Yes, so it filters out spam as well. I have spam filters on some of my servers which label spam as {Definitely Spam?} or {Spam?}. I have the rules delete the first, not even placing it in the deleted folder. The second goes to the deleted folder just in case something doesn't belong there.
This is the only solution i found. I saw there are other similar email clients out thee, but being a 'power user' i found this to be the best for me. The only thing flexmail doesn't handle is ms exchange, but i let wm6 handle that 1 account only.

Can't delete "invisible" email

Hi, I've searched but can't find an answer to my email problem:
I've got 2 POP email accounts set up on my phone, and until now have had no problems, but a couple of days ago the email tab on the ribbon at the bottom of the home screen shows I have one email in one of my accounts. However, when I go to that account no email is visible, so I can't delete it to get rid of the false notification. When other emails arrive in that account they are visible, and I can delete them when necessary.
This problem doesn't stop me using the phone, but it's a bit irritating - any help is gratefully received. Thanks.
I think it's due to active sync. Go to Outlook E-mail inbox. There should be an unread email in there.
Thanks for your speedy reply Myth1001, but I've already checked that possibility. When I say I've got 2 email accounts I mean 2 that I've set up: Audiosense.co.uk, my company, and Sky.com, a general domestic account. There is also the Outlook account, but I didn't set that up - I presume it's part of Mobile Office. The "stuck" email is in the Sky account. When I go to the email account screen, the Sky email icon has a green box with the figure "1" in it, but when I tap to open the message it won't open, and therefore won't delete.
I have both accounts set up to leave messages on the server so I get them on my desktop machine when I return home, so I'm going to try deleting the last few day's emails from the Sky server. I don't think it's that but I can't think of anything else at the moment.
I'll let you know what happens.

Increase emails in Email program from 25

I use ICS CM9 email (not gmail). Have not found a setting to increase how many emails should be kept in the program. So if I check my emails and have 30 new all the old ones will disappear. There has to be a setting for this? Why can't I have a few hundred emails there?
Would all so like to know this answer please.
Check sync options. And change days to sync from automatic to however long you want messages to show.

There is no "sync options". There is General settings and the email account settings. In email account settings, there is "incoming settings" but no setting for days (for IMAP. it might be if you're using exchange).
My conclusion is that this is not possible to increase from 25 emails for IMAP or POP. Which makes me wonder, how do everybody get by this? Reload older messages all the time? or everybody use K-9?
Android mail programs don't keep email messages.
You should set your mail account for keeping mails
on the server for xx-days before deleting them.
If you open your mailbox on your pc, it will by default
wipe your mails from your server, nd the next time you sync
/check with your phone all older messages wil be deleted

You misunderstand!
Android email program DOES keep email messages stored locally. The ICS Email app keeps 25 emails. When you get new emails it deletes the older ones locally. you can reload them from the server if you have the patience to wait and if you are online.
Is it really only me and REVHE4D in the whole world that are annoyed by this issue?
If I remember correctly, the Samsung email app does have settings for how many emails to store locally.
I have the same issue.. The Samsung ICS email client doesn't work that well for me, it doesn't delete emails properly.
The stock ICS Email app seems to have like no settings. Why don't they just let us use the GApps Gmail client for our own private imap/pop3 servers as well? The interface is slick, its integrated into the widgets/homescreen... It's so stupid that we're unable to add our own personal accounts to it.
No Nick5000, you are not the only one annoyed by this. I am too, especially because I clearly remember that on my old Galaxy S2 when I was running gingerbread, it kept all my emails up to 500. I don't know why they changed it down to 25.

[Q] Modifying Events in Calendar

Within the Calendar app, how do you modify an event (meeting)?
I can view the details of an event, but I don't see how to say change the date and/or time.

More details...I can modify the meetings that are from my google calendar without issue. Apparently it is just the meetings from my work calendar that I can't modify (though I can copy and delete). Is there perhaps some obscure setting within the mail accounts that enables/disables this?
Seems to work for me for calendar items I created with Outlook under my ID.
I can modify Outlook calendar items from my phone as long as I created them with the same ID that is set up with ActiveSync.
If you are set up the same as me, maybe an exchange setting is preventing you from being able to modify them from your phone?
For anyone who has this problem...
My email address at work is <first name>.<last name>@<company name>.com. My IT guy informed me a while back that I shouldn't include the . between my names when configuring my phone to connect to the exchange server. He said the exchange server would automatically handle it. And although this allowed me to get my email it was causing me a couple issues. The first was that I couldn't modify meetings that I had scheduled on my PC from my phone. The second was that no matter the setting I would always get emailed a copy of any emails I sent from my phone.
I deleted my account and re-added it back in with the dot and now everything works great.

They probably had an alias set up for your email address. This would not work for others unless their exchange admins had done the same.
This is probably why not all functions were working for you, since all an alias does is redirect mail from an incorrect account name (or alias) to the correct one.
