I've had two Wings with the same issue: no matter what access point I connect them to, the connection drops randomly.
When this happens, the icon in the display still shows as connected (two parallel arrows), the Wi-Fi status shows the device is associated and has a valid IP address, BatteryStatus shows the device is connected to the AP, and Comm Manager shows green on the Wi-Fi icon.
But, you cannot browse the Internet nor can you synch email (I use POP3, Live and Exchange direct push messaging).
Putting the device to sleep and reawakening it instantly reconnects Wi-Fi as does shutting the connection down and restarting it in Comm Manager.
This happens on any Wi-Fi access point, and I have tried about six: multiple T-Mobile hotspots, WPA2/AES and WPA/TKIP encrypted hotspots and completely open Linksys WRT54G access points.
This HAS to be a setting in WM6 or in the adapter settings somewhere. T-Mobile hasn't got a clue and many searches on the Net haven't turned up a clue.
Has anyone else seen this?

Its weird mine too loses connection I had always thought it was my WiFi at home because its a crap router but i guess not anyone have a fix?
After tweaking my new Touch Pro and not getting PDAnet to work, I got wmwifirouter to work great, but now I cannot get out on the 3G network. I have tried IE, Opera, updateing weather and nothing works.
I am using KK rom and had no 3G issues before trying pdanet and wmwifirouter. I dont have Phone as Modem selected either.
Any ideas?
i had the same issue.
sorta.
when i turned on the wifi router, it over-rode the connection settings turning off my data connection. it also confused my usb connection. so every time i connected my device to my pc, it saw it as a network adapter.
all i did was turn off the router completely and restart my data connection manually.
after that, it reset all connections itself.
works fine now.
you may also have to manually disconnect your internet sharing proggie (open the program, select disconnect), as it uses that.
now that i think of it, try that first.
no wifi
after installing wmwifirouter i cannot connect to other wifi signals. The router works great, but when I turn off, my phone does not connect o other wifi signals.
How can i fix this?

I am using both Opera Mobile 10 Beta and Skyfire version 1.5.0.15020.
Skyfire is fast, but it's not loading the full page. When I am checking my mails in outlook, only half of the page is loaded and I waited for full page to load and it didn't. Landscape is working in sky fire. (I have checked for more than one mail thread)
Opera is also ok, and I can able to see the fully loaded page for my outlook mails. But landscape is not working. Any settings needs to be done for the landscape?
I am using the Wi-Fi connection in my home. When I am connecting to the Wi-Fi, it's connected and I can able to browse the internet. After sometimes (5-10 mins), the internet page is throwing error saying check the internet connection. When I saw the notofication bar my Wi-Fi is disconnected and it's searching for new network is detected and showing some other Wi-Fi connection.
I have to dismiss all and once again I need to connect to my Wi-Fi.
What could be the reason? While I am browsing itself, it's searching for another Wi-Fi connection and disconnecting my astice Wi-Fi connection or any other Wi-Fi connection is detected while I am browsing and askin gto connect that one? I am not sure. Anybody could advice on it.

Not sure if this is phone specific, android or my vpn provider!
I've just signed up with Black VPN and and I've entered the pptp settings into my phone.
I connect and for about 5 - 10 seconds everything is fine, I can surf the web etc but then the data stops! The vpn stays connected but no data is getting through.
The vpn works fine on my computer, going through the same wifi connection and router, same settings being entered.
Can anyone help? Looking to watch the bbc iplayer whilst over here in the us on my phone...

I reset the router and pulled out the battery and the sim card and fired it up again and it worked.

GS5 will not connect to home wifi. Right below the ssid it says unable to obtain IP address. When I opened advanced wifi settings I noticed my IP address is unavailable.
I also got a warning AP currently not in use. Internet might be slow. Internet is working fine on my laptop.
Please see attached screenshots.
GS4 is connecting just fine to the home wifi.
Any help is verymuch appreciated.
