VPN connection freezes after a few seconds - Vibrant General

Hi
Not sure if this is phone specific, android or my vpn provider!
I've just signed up with Black VPN and and I've entered the pptp settings into my phone.
I connect and for about 5 - 10 seconds everything is fine, I can surf the web etc but then the data stops! The vpn stays connected but no data is getting through.
The vpn works fine on my computer, going through the same wifi connection and router, same settings being entered.
Can anyone help? Looking to watch the bbc iplayer whilst over here in the us on my phone...
Is it android related? http://code.google.com/p/android/is...D+Type+Status+Owner+Summary+Stars&cells=tiles
Thanks

Asus P750 Connection Clash Wi-Fi and VPN

I have an Asus P750. Under My ISP I have my Providers GPRS Settings and under my Work Network I have only one VPN Connection, Wi-Fi is set to connect to Internet. When I connect the VPN it will first connect to the GPRS and then the VPN and works fine. If in my WiFi List there is a Network which was connected only once and is then disconected the VPN will not work anymore. It will connect the GPRS Connection and the Moment the VPN starts it will drop the GPRS Connection and give me the Error Message VPN Server Problem........ If I then delete all WiFi Connections and re-boot the Machine then the VPN over GPRS works fine till the next time I use WiFi. Everything else works and connects fine. Any Ideas anybody...

Automatically Start VPN Connection

Can anyone suggest a way to get my VPN Connection to start automatically when my phone connects to the data network?
I use my HTC Touch for work and can't connect to the exchange server unless I have a VPN connection made.
It's a pain in the butt to have to manually start the connection thru (settings/connections/Edit My VPN Settings).

VPN Pptp over wifi in HTC Leo

Hi!
I have been trying to connect to my to vpn pptp server (witopia.net) for 2 days. I tried every combination that i could think, but there must be something i am doing wrong. I think the mobile is trying to connect to the vpn server through gsm because everytime i try to connect the gsm signal bars disappear for a few moments. How can i make sure that the vpn connection goes through wifi?
I have managed to actually connect to the vpn server, but i cannot access websites like facebook and youtube from the Leo (I live in China and they are blocked). I am able to access blocked services through my iphone and laptop through the same vpn connection.
Any suggestions?
Thanks

PPTP on WM6 is a major problem. Especially if the server (and most do) required MPPE. Its one of the few niggles I have about WM. If you own the server your best setting up the conection using L2TP/IPSEC.
Or if you dont own the VPN server, and have a server laying around the house (as I do) you could set up your server to use the PPTP VPN then set there server as a Proxy, and connect WM6 to the server via proxy...so basically WM6>Proxy>VPN>interwebs
Hi Jagnet, Thank you for your reply.
Unfortunately i am not able to use Ipsec/L2TP in China, only PPTP works fine with blocked sites.
After trying many combinations, there is a step that i havent been able to figure it out.
Once i am in Start > Settings > Connections (tab) > Connections (icon) > Advanced (tab) > Select Networks, How do i select the WIFI connection in "Programs that automatically connect to the internet should connect using" opcion? . On the modem tab i only can choose "celullar line", "Celullar line (GPRS)" or "Hayes Compatible on COM1:", there is nothing about WIFI there, so when i try to connect at the vpn server specified in "Programs that automatically connect to a private network should connect using", the phone seems to be trying to connect via GPRS.
¿Any ideas?
Thanks

having similar issues with HD2. CMCC as well, in China.
I am getting a proxy IP address if I check on ipchicken.com, etc
but I am not able to open FB.
I am not using the PPTP option, but using their SSL service with
openVPN. but STILL not working..
right now on support chats with witopia.
VPN PPTP is simply broken in WM. It will work, but only with no encryption at all, which beats the purpose.
First of all sorry for bumping this old thread. But I have been looking and it seems kinda close to what I`m doing, oh a little new to vpn.
I have managed to sucessfully connect the HD2 via VPN in connections only when on the lan (outwith I need to contact O2 to get it enabled apparently). I setup a dialup connection in Win 7; HD2 says I`m connected to the VPN.
However heres the thing. Am I right in thinking that folders by default have to be shared. Therefore when using resco I can see network folders anyway, when connected to wifi.
So how would I prove that I can see folders shared to the VPN and not on the LAN as I cant seem to prove whether I`m seeing the folder via LAN and not on the VPN?
Sorry if its confusing but perhaps you get my drift? Or am I missing the point entirely....

VPN Problem

dears
my phone is Magic 32b with st0kes-v1.4 Rom (http:**forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=624411).
in my country the market is not accessible so i tray to go throw PPTP VPN and its connected and the market is accessible for 2 second then connection blocked , even Internet browsing while the VPN is still connected when i disconnect the VPN the browsing is back. even more i made an add-hoc connection to my laptop and connect share the Internet from the laptop (the laptop connected to VPN) and still the same; i changed the ROM, nothing happened; any body have isolation.
3 days; no answer or comment ?????? ):
Does the VPn connection you are connecting to allow access to the internet without a proxy? If not, you are not getting to the internet from your phone ever.
the connection i used is HSPDA form the mobile oprater and also i trayed to use a wifi connction in the office and both are allawing connecting to the internet without proxy and as i sid when the VPN is connected the market is accessible for 2 second wich allaw me to enter for example entertarment section then connection blocked.
