Calendar @ Home Screen

hi guys,
i really enjoy using my diamond with lots of tweaks and so on but there´s one thing left ( maybe the most important !!! ) :
I need to see all upcoming events ( next 2-3 days ? ) at the home screen, there are two at maximum and thats really annoying...
Is there any developer who knows a soloution ?

Refresh appointment on home tab
Hi,
I have the problem that sometimes no appointment is shown on the home tab although there are appointment for this day in calender .
Sometimes the home-tab shows appointment from past (the day before) .
If I edit an appointment in the calender, the appointment on the home tab refresh and everything is correct .
Im using original HTC-Rom 1.93 GER with some own graphics-manila-files created with Manila editor.
Any idea?

did you ever heard somethig about the search-function. This is something new and it is incredible, because you can find answers to your questions! There are still hundreds of threads with this topic!

Try TodayAgenda V1.1.0 - at http://pocketpcfreewares.com/en/index.php?soft=1475.
It is a great today plugin which shows appointments, tasks - Very customizeable and I have mine showing appointments up to a week in advance. It work's very well on my HTC Touch Elf WM 6.0. I added the RL Calendar to the same page so that I have a calender above it and appointments showing beneath. All as one page in ultimateLaunch.

I see a lot of smarties here trying to be all ^%$%.
What he is asking for, as well as I need, is to be able to see more upcoming appointments while the TF3D is ON .... got it. Please read before you guys get all smart.
The apps you suggested do not work work, well they do, but do not show up with TF3D ON.
Perhaps there is some registry tweak that can allow to see like today+next 7 days appointments.

Hey buddy. There is no need to get rude. Everyone here is just trying to be helpful, geez. What is your problem.
By the way, the original question was not asking specifically for something that would work while TF3D is on specifically and since I do not have a Diamond, I would have no way of knowing what would work for you or not. I was only pointing to a possible sollution as I am sure everyone else was. Notice in my post I actually metioned working on HTC TOUCH ELF WM 6.0.
Anyway, Good Luck finding what you need.

Anybody knows the answer? Maybe only HTC staff knows. Second Today works but it is just a workaround by adding a today screen so as to avoid the TF3D screen. Like the 2USU thing (a workaround for locking the screen with incoming calls), it's not a clean solution. I don't know what other fellow diamondiers feel, but I want a clear cut solution direct from TF3D, not to switch to another screen/program/interface to get around (and I want to see everything from the TF3D screen even when it's locked and backlight is off and I don't need to unlock the screen and then press another button to see it). But yes, this has been a F-Q but still no A (as in FAQ) yet. It seems to be a real simple issue that most of us will come across and intuitively think it's easy to solve (by a registry tweak or so) but yet no solution comes up yet. It's a bit frustrating....

You seen the movie Tropic Thunder? You know Tom Cruises' part in that, when he talks to the Flaming Dragon guys for the first time through the phone? Well, that's what I'd love to do to you now.
Yes, maybe there is a tweek (sic) that can do that with "TF3D ON" (did you know that the word 'on' is officially written uncapitalised?), and yes, Second Today is a workaround (which by the way, works with TF3D "ON"); however, since topics requesting this functionality for TF3D started back in 1931 you would think that if such a tweek (sic) existed, somebody smarter than you would've found it by now. And seeing this forum now has 869015 members, that makes 869014 members smarter than you - and none of them has ever found this elusive 'tweek' since 1931.
So, yeah, maybe there is. Go find it!

thx sushilange, but i´ve already searched all threads ! i haven´t found a possibility to integrate a calendar with the touchflo3d home screen...
By the way, it would be nice to submit a link instead of beefing...

I would also like to know if theres a way to see at least 3-4 upcomming events in my calnder in the TF3D home screen. Would be super!

It seems to be spanish and the idea is to use SecondToday from http://www.chi-tai.info/cs_wm_tools_im_cs.htm.

How about making an app that changes the today screen when you rotate the device?
So when it's in portrait you have TF3d and when it's in landscape you can have Calendar+ or whatever other plugins you want?

I saw on a kaiser rom, that someone use this way.

I am looking for ways to minimize missed calls. I do realize there is sylus lock, sensorlock and answerkey disabler but i find they all have limitations before I answer eg I dont want to take out stylus to answer a call, rotate a phone to answer, etc. If I understand this correctly when you get a call you swipe one way or the other to either accept or reject a call. I think this would be the best option. Hopefully one of the talented people here can have this for the vga screen

even in the newest version s2u2 still sucks out the power from my battery.

yes you can use s2u2, but i dont like the Callerid from s2u2. I would like to use the "nearly" original callerid from Windows. So we have to wait

this looks really great...is there a video to see how smooth the slide effect is on this?

Looked at Kaiser section and downloaded the cab/oem pack for Opal Dialer (the dialer we are looking for).
I didn't understood if it is a 3g or standard dialer, for sure it's just for QVGA devices...do you think that's sufficient to rearrange all pics to VGA resolution to let it works on our diamond?

We can make a "reward thread" (maybe it will become a sticky) asking for a dealer with these features:
- all standard manila ones (vga,videotelephony support and flip to mute ring mainly)
-slide to answer/reject as the opal one
-lighter (in program memory consuption) as possible
An hibryd between manila/opal dealer in poor words...
When someone will realize this app all thread subscribers will donate him something...

This will solve all problems with unintentional answering to calls.
I imagine that this feature will be included in the next firmware update, but until then I would not mind to have a port from Touch HD.

I love s2u2, however this would make a very nice addition to my diamond

I made a simple edition to S2U2 so It looks more like the Touch HD answer screen...

[APP] FEWidgets (Omnia like widgets, need it done VGA)

This is an app that puts widgets like the Omnia on the today screen. The only issue is that it doesn't support VGA yet (hence the reason for the post). I used SecondToday to get another today screen, loaded FEWidgets, and mapped the top volume key to go back and forth between TF3D and the today screen with FEWidgets. It worked liked a charm, with no lag or hesitation. The widgets worked fine by controlling comm devices like bluetooth and WIFI. The only thing you may have to change is the wallpaper in the programs folder in order to get VGA (480x640) wallpaper to cover the whole screen (once you get them in the folder there is actually a widget you can change them with). FEWidget does use the entire screen, so other today screen plugins can not be used. The only problem is the widgets are small (QVGA), and looking to you guys to find a solution. I haven't had a chance to look at the files, but I will to see if the widget icons can be manipulated. It is damn cool though. A simple button press takes you to another screen with widgets!!!!! The Diamond engine handles it so well, it should have been intergrated. Here is the link to the thread, and all credit goes to nicodega for an awsome app.

ok so I can not find this mod mentioned in the thread you posted, nor can I find it via search which more or less leaves me no chance as to ask you again in the wrong thread if you could point me to the mod or the file to get those icons changed.

well thats str8 up on the omnia... we are dealing with porting it do a different resolution... i'm not too sure why else it may be lagging but i'm sure it will be smoothed out in the coming releases.
One thing i really like is the screen rotation of the omnia in that video... is that impossible to get for our diamonds?

Does anyone know how to assign specific buttons to toggle this in SecondToday? All I see is right and left softkey and neither of them seem to work anyway. Ideally I'd like the Home key to toggle between TF3D and FEWidgets.
Secondly, if I run the FEWidgets alone I can move them around etc. but if it's loaded through SecondToday I cannot, is there a way to fix this?

Saw a lot of requests for a nice looking Magic 8 Ball, so here you go.
Screen Support: VGA, QVGA, WQVGA, WVGA, should work well on others
How to use: Think of a question and shake the phone for a magic answer

The only problem is, the answers change before you shake, then you shake and get an answer, but they seem to keep changing even after you have shaken and gotten an answer. This makes it seem as though they are changing randomly, and that it is not the shaking causing the change. It seems that the ball should have a blank answer area until shaken, then display an answer after shaking, then stay on that answer unless shaken again.
Does this make sense? I am not sure if I have explained it clearly.

yeah, i noticed that today, i will fix the sensor reading and release an update later on today. thank you
update is out, nothing like trying to program at 2am . try it out, see if it works better.

hey i got excited when i saw this but i think it might be a little better if the answer didnt pop up until after you stopped shaking. im no programmer so idk if its possible but i would like to be able to shake while thinking of a question and then get the answer when i stop lol very important haha

the progam downloaded just fine but phone is now telling me i have the wrong version of microsoft .net compact frame work can anyone tell me where to find. thank you

S2U2 (Slide 2 Unlock 2)

Who has installed this on the HD2? Are there any issues?

I have it and it performs very well. I found some issues with the S2U2 phone answering capability and so have not use that because it appeared to conflict with the slide to answer built in to the handset.
I note that there is an recent S2U2 upgrade though so this may have been addressed. Follow the extensive instructions and you will not go wrong.
I recommend it.

I have it installed too. No noticable problems.
I'm using the tPro theme and it looks pretty cool.

Well, im on 1.48 official german ROM with S2U2 2.24, and i had a huge battery drain over the last two nights. More than 40% were gone after 7 hours of sleep. Im not completely sure if its S2U2 but its the only external program running in the background over night. I have disabled it for now, lets see what happens this night. But try it out for yourself, maybe your're a bit luckier than me^^...

I haven't had any battery problems with S2U2.
I'm using version 2.14.

Have just installed this - how do you get rid of the normal htc lock screen as i dont want to have to unlock twice . thanks

Has anyone had any issues with S2U2 not displaying the caller image if the image is from a linked facebook profile?

Please can someone help. I'm sure I raised this question ages ago but can't find it.
I was using v2.41 and this had the error and now after upgrading to 2.43 the error still exists...
When on a call and another call comes through, The buttons to decide whether to answer the incoming call or to reject it get overlaid by more text from somewhere. More often than not, I make the wrong choice.
The lowest button (3rd?) has a red background if that helps...
