I have a quick question. My coworker and I both have a wing. He was trying to send a file to me over bluetooth. We went through the entire process but when it says sending nothing shows up on my screen and his just sits there saying sending. We are going through file explorer and we cannot figure out how to get it to transfer. Any ideas or better program to use?
Something should be showing, but other than that, make sure you both have OBEX turned on.
Ya that's weird that nothing is hapenning, make sure u can see each others wing once bluetooth is turned on

ok, im new so don't blast me for asking for help. I've searched all over the forums, but cant find what im looking for.
Ok i have had this phone (and is wicked by the way) for 1 day now,
i have removed all the crappy O2 stuff, with help from others on here!! Thanks guys. Got a reg editer so im getting there.
Basically i send my self a file with bluetooth and now i have no idea where it has saved itself.
I cant find any free WIFI connection programs that work, hitchhiker dont work for some reason get some error as it starts up.
The other thing i was looking for is something to scan for blutooth devices and maybe look on the other phone? i seem to remember this in an old PDA i used to have.
Thanks for any help
To scan for new Bluetooth Connection all you have to do is:
Go To Com Manager
Settings
Bluetooth
Bottom Tab Devices
New Partnership
This will scan for any available devices. The rest of you question I am not sure about.
When I save files I have received via blutooth they go into the my documents directory
hope that helps
yeah i can pair devices but i want to scan for a device and then be able to click on something like explore and see what they have on thier phone?
Does such thing exist?
I need a good free WIFI connection manager that i can download.
Thanks for both your help

Come one folkes, some one must have an insight into this. I have never had this sort of problem with other devices b4. Swapping files via bluetooth is usually easy.
TIA
Mav
Well if that is checked you should be fine really. Hmm well if you don't have a pair with the other device it should pop up asking you if you want to receive the file, if you don't answer within a few, the transfer will time out and your friend will get an error. You need to be a little more specific as to what "doesn't work" means. Is there an error? Are you getting a prompt? Have you tried pairing?

Thanks for the help.
BT is turned on and Discoverable. Recieve all incoming Beams is Ticked. The devices are paired. Mates phone starts send but is unable to connect to my device.
I soft reset earlier, and checked all the settings. Re-paired the devices and was able to recieve the 6 files he sent me, but the next time he tries to send anything, his phone is unable to connect to mine. Its almost like the BT stack corrupts after a data transfer.
He tried to send me a file just now, couldn't connect.
I have just tried another Soft rest and now I can recieve the files.
Very odd.

are you sure OBEX is enabled??
if you're not sure, search for the 'enable OBEX' over the forum cab and install.

Ok, gone and ripped my DVD (thanks to the good advice in other thread), looks ok on PC and wanna transfer it to PPC.
I installed WM5torage to the device storage (not microdrive) yesterday and it connected to my winXPhomeSP2 computer.
today however, it says upon trying to Activate wm5torage:
"cant switch to mass storage USB driver, error 1f. Maybe some running programs have files open on storage card, preventing direct access. Try to close all running programs."
Sure enough i closed them all, no luck.
Soft reseted, no luck.
Only thing changed between today and yesterday is installing TCPMP to device storage (not microdrive).
Anyone seen that error "1f" and got around it?

I'm not sure what's gone wrong for some of you, but try uninstalling WM5torage (I know I did), then soft-reset and re-install. Then soft reset again. This time activate it before you hook it up to your PC.....PC should recognize it as a Drive!
Let us know if you have any joy.
P.S. It's best to deactivate WM5torage after your data transfers...BEFORE you disconnect.
If you don't you may experience some strange behavior and will have to reset.

Hope this helps.
still shafted, cant get it to activate whatsoever
Try turning off all your today plugins, then run it.
yep, that was it. turned off SPB plugins and wm5torage works.
turn em on, wm5torage wont work.
bizarre considering they were active when it worked yesterday though...
For anyone else browsing - I occasionally get this problem when 'Craptivesync' doesn't unload properly. I have to kill AS and then start WM5 to get it going.
Something random
I have found that if the last thing i have looked at in file explorer is on the microdrive wm5torage will not work.
Simple solution is to open file explorer and go to my device, close it and then open and activate wm5torage.
Might be coincidence but may be helpful
hi guys, i've got an issue with my bluetooth in that i can't receive files, i've tried from 2 different computers and a phone with no success. my windows box gives me an obex error code 0x49 if thats any help to anyone. i've got accept transfers ticked and the devices are paired. i can send files from the phone fine so the bluetooth is defiantly working.
Turn beam on.
Receive all incoming beams.
could you clarify a bit? i've got accept all connections turned on and don't see any beam options in the bluetooth app?
In sense settings, go to all settings. (Right softkey).
Open the bluetooth settings and open the 1st tab.
Expand the advanced settings.
Open the file transfer config and click allow "incoming file transfer connections"
I've not tested it though
I reconfigured the comm manager to run this app, called BtManager.exe. More useful than the wizard it normally runs.
i've already done all that, everything is enabled in the bluetooth settings app i just can't receive files, as i said before i can send to devices and connect via a2dp so i don't think it's a hardware issue so there must be a software problem somewhere?

same here, any one experienced it and solved the problem?
Long time no reply on this thread. I fixed the problem for my HD2. Maybe it help poeple to fix their receive files for their HD2 too.
In bluetooth advanced settings go to file transfer and uncheck safe files on your sd card, instead set the path to your sd card for receiving files. Click finish and test.
Thanks Guido, that worked for me!
I am having issues, I am unable to copy a whole file seems the phone drops connection during the copy. I reloaded drives, anyone have any suggestions. TIA

If your phone locks itself in the middle of the transfer, that'll do it.
Just keep moving the screen around while it's transferring.
