I am also using a wizard, K-Jam, and I need some help from you guys.
Several month ago, when I tried to flash its rom, without much knowledge on flashing roms, I accidentally used MTTY to DOCTEST the rom, which according to the threads I was following, was to "format" the rom. Then I flashed it with Custom RUU 1.01.
The phone works well after that except the IPL becomes forever 1.01, no matter what kind of rom flashed. The SPL can be upgraded or downgraded without problem.
So, now the phone is
=> Bootloaders:
IPL: 1.01 (G3 device)
SPL: 3.08 (G3 device)

It seems the IPL is locked at 1.01. Can anyone help to solve this?
Another issue is the Wifi. When I flash it back to Custom wm 5.0 rom1.01 (IPL/SPL1.01), the Wifi works fine. Everything(WLan mode, MAC, etc.) is pre-set. But when I flash it to other roms, I can't turn on the Wifi, either through Commanager, or Settings>Connection. When I tap the WLan button, the process indicator goes on for a while and then off, the Wlan is still off. Impossible to input the WLan settings.
I wonder if the Wifi problem is caused by the IPL locking.
I do need help and advice from you guys, thank you very much!

3. my device model is converted from pw10b1 to pw10a1
4. my rom converted from 3.14.03 to 3.14.17
I am looking for :
My activesync not working and
I want to unlock device and want to upgrade device with wm2003.

1. For unlocking i would suggest downloading and installing this ROM:
ftp://xda:[email protected]/Wallaby/ROM/Special/special_rom_1.2.exe.zip
2. I think the activeSync-problem is temporarley. Which version are you using?
3. Device model is hardcoded in the ROM and those are just names.....
4. After installing a new ROM it´s normal that you have an other ROM Version on your device
5. Afetr unlocking with the Special Edition ROM you could install easily the WM2003 ROM....

I have upgraded rom from activesync version 4.1.4841.0
while exploring device, getting error

I can't enabled the wireless. I can update to AKU3.3.13.ASERG-us but when I try to update the ipl (it still are with 1.00) or another rom version it reboot alone.
Can anyone help me please?

my experience in this after cooking some roms, that wifi proplems are from the file wavedev.dll try to resore the old one using resco explorer 6.10
or try to enable wifi from flight mode after softrest; i.e. close phone and bluetooth and infrared
it nothing to do with IPL or SPL, but it will be usefull to update them, but please don't do it unless you know what G device you have, G3 or G4

I need urgent help with my T-Mobile MDA Vario I (Wizard 200) G4 (2006):
I wanted to upgrade to WM6 and used Hard SPL to do that. Read all the tutorials.
After applying Hard SPL the boot screen read:
IPL: 2.21.0001
SPL: 2.21.Olip
GSM: 02.19.11
OS: 2.24.2.5
Then I flashed the ROM with "RUU_WM6_XB_FUSION" .....
Result: At reboot it hang in the old T-Mobile boot screen stating:
the above IPL and SPL but
GSM: 02.47.21
OS: 10.0.0.0
The only thing I can do now is:
go into boot loader mode by pressing camera and stylus
and reflash it with the same RUU: it still hangs....
Not possible to reconnect to Active Sync anymore so cannot remove Hard SPL to go back to original OS with Soft SPL....
SO WHAT NOW???? Please Help, I am at a loss, just bought it...
you need to install a non official windows mobile 5 rom that doesnt have spl / ipl built into them (ex: wizard love rom) google it.

Hello folks,
My device is a QTEK A9100.
After updating my rom to one with WM6.5 I noticed that my boot screen now looks like a gradient from green to black like the picture attached.
The problem is that the phone now doesn't activate de radio. It show no signal and when I try to enable the phone in comm manager, it doesn't enable it.
So I decided to go back to WM6.1. Right now I'm using X2H's WM6.1 Manila UI - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=3459150&postcount=8
Also, the battery light is not staying lit when the usb or power cable are connected and active sync is not detecting the phone. Also the phone less responsive then usual.
IPL/SPL version are shown as follows in the boot screen:
IPL: 2.21.0001
SPL: 2.21.olip

OS: 6.1.0.0
Settings > System > Device Information shows in the Version tab:
ROM version: 6.1.0.0 WWE
ROM date: 1/16/08
It does not show radio or protocol version as I saw in another screen shots.
Any ideas on how to enable the radio and make active sync detects the phone?

the blank line at the boot can mean there is the corrupt radio or something similar...the radio version is showed there
i think the best way is try an hard reset, and if it don't work the way is flash a radio...
Hard Reset didn't work.
Tried to install radios 3.02.11 and 2.69.11 and nothing.
The rom install finishes without error but after the device resets it looks like the same it was before. It show no GSM version at the boot screen and the boot screen keep showing for almost 2 minutes.

Thanks, I did it and still the same.
Now the IPL and SPL are version 2.22.0001
But the green boot screen remains and still not show the GSM version.
The WM is laggy and at the device information screen I can only see the rom version, the rom date and the ext rom version.
No information about protocol or radio version.
It seems that no matter what radio I flash, it's not stored in the device.
Any other ideias?

I'm trying to flash my device to USPL v2.5 but, when I run the GUI, the application gets stuck and nothing happens on my device...
Currently, my device has the following configuration:
ROM version: 1.56.401.0 (43972) WWE
ROM date: 03/06/09
Radio version: 1.13.25.24
Protocol version: 52.62.25.34U
The bootloader screen shows:
BLAC100 32M
SPL-1.54.0000
MicroP-BlackStone (LED) v6
And at the white frame, when I plug the USB cable the text USB shows up.
What am I exactly trying to do?

I'm following a tutorial from the forum but, I can't pass through the first step (flash the USPL bootloader)
As far as I understood, I must change the bootloader to continue to flash the new ROM... right?
The host computer I'm using for the process is running Windows 7 Ultimate version and, I have already tried to boot with "disable driver signing enforcement" option.
The question is:
Could somebody help me with this problem?
