I just dropped my qtek S200. When I turn it on noe, I just see colored stripes, but the qtek seems to work normal, because if I use the camera button you can hear the "click" sound e.t.c.
What shall I do know? Please help me - I am quite in Panic know .-(
Please anyone?
Did the display cable come loose? You'll have to open the unit in order to rectify this. As I have just ordered a new case, I have searched for instructions how to do this and found
this step by step manual.
Good luck
Robert
Thank you very much for your help - I will try this out. I hope I can open it, because I am not very good in this.
How does the display cable look like?
I got stucked at this step: NOW CAREFULLY LIFT THE BACK COVER AWAY FROM THE FRONT AND NOTE THE SHORT SPEAKER CABLE, USE YOU TWEASERS TO CAREFULLY DISCONNECT IT
How do I disconnect it??
What exactly does the device do? Does it respond to charging? Does the screen have any response to being switched on?
The qtek works properly - that means I can use the com button and touch the screen where eg the bluetooth used to be and I can turn it on.
The camera button works too, because you can hear the click when taking a photo.
The only thing is, that you can only see vertical colored stripes on the screen that change their color after some minutes.
I just opened it now, but it did not help.
you have to buy a new one hahahaha

I got the mda vario from tmobile uk. I dont know what happen. Different colour blue, red, white vertical lines that start from up to down. If I connect the device to the computer or to the charger the orange light is on. PLease HELP ME!!!
Sounds like a graphics hardware problem to me - but worth trying a hard reset first - turn device off, hold comm and record buttons at the same time, turn device on still holding buttons - text should appear on screen, press green (call) button and hard reset should begin. Make sure you have backed up any important data before you do this.
im having this problem too, but my lines turn black and only effect half the screen. It starts with the screen going fuzzy.
I've had this happen when the phone was charging and it caused temporary screen burn because i recieved a text.
I try hard reset but nothing. It changes a lot of colours...
Sounds like a graphics hardware problem means that there is no hope?
Thanks anyway!!!

Isnt it under warranty? If it is get it repaired - if not maybe a loose connector inside, could be worth a dis-assemble and push all the connectors tight. Or if your not up to that take it to someone that is.
Unfortunately I dont have any warranty!!!
I find the disassembling manual but do you know where can I find the screws and other staff in the uk? Do you have any idea?
Otherwise I live in York Uk, do you know any place near here?
This place does pda repairs http://www.gpsmidlands.co.uk./

Hi guys,
I got given another magician and after some troubleshooting and pluging the m/b into my screen i got it to work. (the screen was faulty)
BUT, then i plugged the screen back into my original JAM and put it all back together and all i get is a white screen and then a little while later i hear the sound that you get once you perform a hard reset.
What i want to know is if it is the connection to the screen or if i have some way screwed my m/b
ATM, i am using my given m/b to use as my pda so i can make calls.
Just to clear things up this is what happened:
1. Recieved jam from friend in post (we will call it j2)
2. dismantled both my jam (j1) and j2 and plugged j2's m/b into j1's screen and all go
3. tested it the other way round and found that j2's screen was stuffed
4. put j1 all back together and now all i am getting is a white screen followed by the windows mobile set up tone
5. straight to xda-developers for help
Any help GREATLY appreciated
Hello,
the buttons beside the screen don't work after a shock
someone has an idea?
please help
They are connected with the tape. They could get disconnected, however the best thing is to open the phone and check it by yourself. It shouldn't take more than 15 minutes to completety dissasemble the phone.
Hi all,
I had a touchscreen issue (sometimes not working) in my HD2 so I ordered a new fabric screen+lcd assemby. I replaced it very carefully but now when I plug new lcd it is not working. Phone is working, buttons, vibration, hear the sound when turning on but there is only backlight on display and just shows black screen. I am sure that display is ok because I tried to put old one (wich was still working before replacement) and it has same issue (backlight works but display is black). Can you give me some ideas what is wrong ????
damaged lcd ribbon connector on mainboard or ribbon not being inserted fully or latched securely
Ty booting to bootloader ...
Help
The flex cable is not attached correctly or the main board is broken and before you close your phone try it. If you can't do this give someone your phone and he will recover for you.
The problem is sloved. I dissasambled all phone and fix it once again and now it works. Anyway I got another problem of white screen on my second device. Did anybody find a solution for white screen ever????

try with this link.
Yes I have read this before but I think that white screen problem is not sloved in this thread. But maybe I could be wrong.
I was having some issues with my GPS so followed another thread about opening the phone and looking at the GPS contacts. I didn't notice anything too out of place - I pressed on them with the battery out to see if they were noticeably flattened but didn't do anything else. Put the phone back together and now even though the blue light will come on (and the back and menu button light up) the phone screen never turns on. Could there be something I accidentally loosened that would make this happen? Any thoughts on what to check? Thanks

I'm not an expert but it sounds like there is some issue with the connection between the display and the board it's connected to. Try loosen that connector and clean it before you put it back. I have repaired many laptops and often if some of the keys on the keyboard isn't working it's often that the keyboard's connector is dirty.
Let me know how it goes and good luck!

Thanks! I couldn't figure out where this connection was for a while but it's in upper. I attached a picture for anyone that runs into the same issue. I used a google link shortener because I'm not allowed to use real URLs as a new member
