Hi guys,
I got given another magician and after some troubleshooting and pluging the m/b into my screen i got it to work. (the screen was faulty)
BUT, then i plugged the screen back into my original JAM and put it all back together and all i get is a white screen and then a little while later i hear the sound that you get once you perform a hard reset.
What i want to know is if it is the connection to the screen or if i have some way screwed my m/b
ATM, i am using my given m/b to use as my pda so i can make calls.
Just to clear things up this is what happened:
1. Recieved jam from friend in post (we will call it j2)
2. dismantled both my jam (j1) and j2 and plugged j2's m/b into j1's screen and all go
3. tested it the other way round and found that j2's screen was stuffed
4. put j1 all back together and now all i am getting is a white screen followed by the windows mobile set up tone
5. straight to xda-developers for help
Any help GREATLY appreciated

I recently replaced the housing because of the dents and scratches on my old one with one a purchased off ebay, i used an htc universal assembly manual but when i completed changing the fascia and booted the device again i went to turn the screen round (to pda mode) and the screen didn't automatically turn itself round like it used to. This wasn't due to going slow as soon as you change the screen round and tap start menu it reacts normally.
Could this be because of the way the coaxile cable was put back? thanks.
I think there is a magnet somewhere to recognize the screen to turn around when you put in on PDA mode..I could be wrong.
Can you help me I have an Orange spv m3100 that has no display on the screen the screen switches on well a light comes on, yet there is no display start buttons etc displayed. When I use the buttons on the side etc they make clicking noises and everso everso faintly I think I see things moving ie when I click the windows button on the screen I think I see the start menu drop down (but to indistinguishable to do anything with.)
Can you tell me what parts you think I need to replace lcd/digitizer/lcd and where I can buy them from.
I have not backed up any of my contacts and all I really want to do is retrieve them then I dont care what happens to the phone. So any suggestions how I can do this would be greatly appreciated.
an active sync connection should put all your contacts onto your computer,
conversely get a software like true connect and then you can control your PDA from your computer screen. - this software puts a small window with what is on or what should be on the pda screen.
hope this helps.
If you want to replace your screen, send it to apex laptops in england somewhere!
PS is your screen just blank and white? - Cuz mine is doing that at the moment, whatever you do - do not hard reset your device.
I think its a connection problem with the pins in the cable.
I just dropped my qtek S200. When I turn it on noe, I just see colored stripes, but the qtek seems to work normal, because if I use the camera button you can hear the "click" sound e.t.c.
What shall I do know? Please help me - I am quite in Panic know .-(
Please anyone?
Did the display cable come loose? You'll have to open the unit in order to rectify this. As I have just ordered a new case, I have searched for instructions how to do this and found
this step by step manual.
Good luck
Robert
Thank you very much for your help - I will try this out. I hope I can open it, because I am not very good in this.
How does the display cable look like?
I got stucked at this step: NOW CAREFULLY LIFT THE BACK COVER AWAY FROM THE FRONT AND NOTE THE SHORT SPEAKER CABLE, USE YOU TWEASERS TO CAREFULLY DISCONNECT IT
How do I disconnect it??
What exactly does the device do? Does it respond to charging? Does the screen have any response to being switched on?
The qtek works properly - that means I can use the com button and touch the screen where eg the bluetooth used to be and I can turn it on.
The camera button works too, because you can hear the click when taking a photo.
The only thing is, that you can only see vertical colored stripes on the screen that change their color after some minutes.
I just opened it now, but it did not help.
you have to buy a new one hahahaha
Hi all,
I had a touchscreen issue (sometimes not working) in my HD2 so I ordered a new fabric screen+lcd assemby. I replaced it very carefully but now when I plug new lcd it is not working. Phone is working, buttons, vibration, hear the sound when turning on but there is only backlight on display and just shows black screen. I am sure that display is ok because I tried to put old one (wich was still working before replacement) and it has same issue (backlight works but display is black). Can you give me some ideas what is wrong ????
damaged lcd ribbon connector on mainboard or ribbon not being inserted fully or latched securely
Ty booting to bootloader ...
Help
The flex cable is not attached correctly or the main board is broken and before you close your phone try it. If you can't do this give someone your phone and he will recover for you.
The problem is sloved. I dissasambled all phone and fix it once again and now it works. Anyway I got another problem of white screen on my second device. Did anybody find a solution for white screen ever????

Background:
So my wifes screen on her Samsung Note 3 is completely smashed, and I believe the digitizer is too as the screen does not respond either. the phone turns on as the buttons has lights and I also get a heptic feedback when I hold down the power button on the phone to turn it on.
I need the the photos, photos were not backed up, not on the SD, and USB Debuggin I believe was off. I tried to connect the phone to 3 different PCs and with different cables, but the pcs do not allow me to see the phones camera folder.
replacing the screen would cost more than the phone cost, and the phone is anyway only being used as a second phone so don't want to shed out that much money.
QUESTION:
I have another Samsung Note 3, so my question was, can I take the screen and digitizer from that one and put it on the broken one and then get the photos and then swap the screen and digitizer back?
Also at work we have a Cellebrite device, but when I tried to extract all the data out of the phone with that, the device asked me to press on "allow this computer" on the phone, but as the screen is broken I can't do this :/
I would really appreciate if anyone can shed some light! thanks guys

Yes I believe it is possible to do such a thing as long as you are prepared to spend enough time on this. Look on YouTube and ifixit and the internet for screen replacement videos and guides and instead of replacing with new screen use the guide to put that other good note 3 screen on your broken one, then use the same guide again to disassemble it and then do as you please by either leaving the broken screen phone or putting the broken screen back into the phone. So yes it is possible but be careful and look at guides carefully.
