Divx Movies on Wing? - Wing, P4350 General

I was wondering, if there's any program around to enable the phone user to watch divx streaming videos...
if that's even possible with the phone.
I heard that Youtube would work with the wing, but I was wondering if sites like joox.net that streams divx would work on our phones..

Ive never used streaming video but TCPMP works on my divx movies on my SD card. Try downloading the video from the site onto your card and then use TCPMP to play the file.

Do you have any experiences playing unconverted video in HTC P4350?
And what about videos from YOUTUBE?
THANX...
Dunno, but for now you can use http://tinytube.net/
Just to clear stuff up:
I'm running DivX Mobile 0.88 on WM6 Herald.
Even if it is NOT overclocked, it plays every divx file fluently. The thing is to encode the files with DrDivx in the first place.
Just put the file you want on your mobile onto DrDivX, set the Mobile Profile and let it encode. Thats it - works very nice and shiny.
reencoding videos? no, thanks
playing with a tmobile wing right now and it plays everything from my site in my signature. so yes it will play xvids mp4s long as they are converted correctly.

well... then its around around 15-20 frames on a HDTV Movie.
It makes NO SENSE adding a 1 GB Movie to the SD Card when you can have SAME QUALITY with 80 MB... its just a matter of will.

I understand it, but I would never do the conversion, because it's time-wasting. I just want to have a CHANCE to watch a divx file sometimes, but for this purpose I will have KAISER, once it's available
well... mark all *.avi and let it convert over night.
100 films in PDA Quality per night...
but ok - wasting time for doing senseless crap is the pleasure of some people in some country with some mobile phones....

hi,
i've got one of the first pda's a t-mobile mda compact. On that device i played wmv files with 320x240 ~350kByte/sec from the sd card. they has a size between 199M and 35MB. With the program "speedy vcr" i record a lot of movies and tv-shows directly into 320x240.
Since this time i only need to copy some records to my sd card an could see my favoried tv-shows or movies. This was funny, when i was traveling by train or plane.
But - since i've got a O2 tera, the videos dont play smooth on that device. it runs with only 3fps. I tested anything to get it smoothly. I tested coreplayer. This software can run xvid and divx videos on that device. But i dont have xvid and divx files and i dont want to convert them.
If the herald pda don't can play videos with the sice of 320x240 in media player this must be a bug in windows mobile. I tested a 160x120 video also with 350 byte/sec and it runs smoothly. The decoder has also to encrypt 350Byte/sec. The only different is the resolution. I suggest that the windows media player transfer the calculation result of the video encoding through a .NET program code. And that is the pottle leak.
At the end - we can't play videos with the media player, because the microsoft programmer are so stupid, they cant reach a life time abouth 35 Years. ( because mom dies, and nobody feed them and they also die )
could somone please direct me to a working link to divx mobile player. I cant seem to find any. http://mobile.divx.com/ doesnt seem to be working. Thanks

Video Player

Anyone know a good video player for Xvid, Divx, etc other than Divx mobile? Everything played thru media player runs smooth, but Divx mobile is real jerky with the frames. Anyone know a stable video player or codecs for media player? Link?
Thanks

All the videos i have are formated for ipod playback. I figured that was the ezest lazymans way of gettin ok playback from the phone. Is SUPER the actual name of the program? What is a proper size to run well on a wimpy overclocked Wing?

Well i think a good size could be 640x480?
I really should not know what size is best.. I just Copy all my movies on the memory card...(8gb card) And overclock it to 260Mhz
Im not sure what size they are, but it being off itunes or atleast scaled for a ipod, I would have thought that even OCed at 247 would help. And like I posted in the original, WMP doesnt have the framerate problem, only divx mobile gets hung up. Im guessing they just dont have the bugs out, or maybe its just to much for my wing to handle *cries* Ill try super out.
Thanks guys,

tcpmp and pocketdivx is a good combination for me....
I use SPB Mobile DVD and TCPMP combi. It can convert my DVDs directly to the pocket pc friendly format(in this case, 320 x 240). It can also scale the videos to fit them to play full screen with no black bars

How can i play avi and divx on HD?

How can i play avi and divx on HD? plz some help?
As far as I know you will need good player. I will wait for CorePlayer 2.0
try this
http://www.4shared.com/file/51243023/beaf1cb8/TCPMP-072RC1-ARM-PPC-recomp-03CAB.html
This worked with my blackstone
I also used CorePlayer from CoreCodec... very good player, but you need to pay a small amount of money to be able to use it legally.
Plays probably anything you care to throw at it, most notably normal divX files, like ~800mb .avi aXXo rips and such.
I used the DIVX player for mobiles downloaded from DIVX.COM for free! Seems to play any Divx and Xvid .AVIs I've tried so far without problems! Give it a try!
http://labs.divx.com/MobileDownload
and since I posted that message, more digging around has pointed me to an updated version of TCPMP that works on WM6.1.
You'll find a link to that thread below...

does divx player mobile play flawless standard divx (for example 700mb divx) or did you convert to phone format?
I've read that the Core Player sometime has a choppy playback. Anyone here experience that?
And I'm also curious about jackthekayman's question as to how flawless the Divx player mobile plays videos.

Yes they are. Somehow they have the same source but core is faster while TCPMP supports more formats as like AC3.

CorePlayer is the only player worth using.. I bought it for my Nokia and have now transferred my license to WM6.1 (for free )
No conversion of formats is needed. Even Full movies etc.. Best framerate.
When coreplayer reaches 3.x in the near future it will also have hardware support for HTC phones.
Great program, great developers.
FYI... I haven't used TCPMP yet, but it is possible to convert an AVI file to MP4 which can be played with the HD's built in player. The easiest way to convert is is by using VLC to do it, here's a quick tutorial: http://appleclinic.wordpress.com/2008/04/20/convert-wmv-to-mp4/

Downloading videos

I'm using joox to download movies and I would like to know how can I download or sync the videos to my phone? Any ideas? Thanks in advance.
Could anybody tell me please how to upload movies to my phone, if it's possible? I never did it with my so I just though I try it. Thanks in advance!
fastest way would put them on your storage card via a card reader and then put the card in the phone.... I have some on mine and they work fine but I do tend to stick with just .avi format
Where do you get your videos from and how do you do it? Thanks!
I've been playing movies on my Titan with TCPMP (the core pocket media player) and everything is playing fine, plays Divx and XVid and everything.
just take your movie file and reencode it in 320x240 with wathever software you want. Personnaly, I always use PocketDivXEncoder, set it to PDA, crank the audio to 6 and an episode of 22 minutes takes around 55Mb
Man...it's frustrating when you're a novice to some things. Could you explain a little further how to download the movies to my computer and then to my phone? Now, I download the movies to a my realplayer library and I'm stuck at that point.
well, I don't know how the Realplayer thingy works, I usualy just download TV Rips (in Divx or Xvid) then reencode them. I guess google is your friend for the rest!
Ok. Thanks for what you told me anyway.

When you install Realplayer, it gives you the option to record video and audio streams from flash players, though it saves them in real format. I personally prefer SUPER (thats the name of the program), which downloads and reencodes the videos on the fly. It even has presets for several screen formats. Also, it's freeware, which helps.
Cheers.

If you have a decent movie player (like CorePlayer) you can actually watch regular PC movies on the HD2 without needing to re-encode them.
I watch DiVX movies on mine all the time.
Try Ojos Soft Video Converter and convert regular DVD's in MP4
not free...but the Blockbuster app does have some pretty cheap downloads. Or you could always rip your own dvds and transfer them to your SD card
Movies on your HTC HD2
You won't need to pay for a converter. I've been using "Videora" and "Super" with some success. I have not been able to play an avi file on the HD2. However it will play MP4. Windows Media Player Mobile doesn't seem to let you watch anything in full screen (big surprise). I'm assuming you already know how to rip your legally owned content into a vob file at least. I used Videora and it does a fantastic job with some files like avi and mpg but the audio is not very good. I can't seem to solve that problem no matter what settings I use. Super will work how ever I can't find the proper settings so that the movie doesn't look squished on the HTC HD2 screen. Some of the movies I had converted for my iPod touch work perfectly on my HTC HD2. Some didn't. I hope this helps you.

Can you tell me the settings you are using on videora, i have been playing with it, but i keep getting stuttering audio and video, tho video is not as bad.I have the latest version that says it is for the hd2 but the hd2 isnt listed in the drop down box.
try Aimersoft Video Converter. It seems to convert my dvds without a problem. I have my bitrate around 1500 so my videos come out around 1.2gb a movie. Or you can try Super C. That's free as well.
CorePlayer will play any "regular" avi file (DivX or Xdiv) the best.
If movie sound is encoded with AC3 then use TCPMP player.
