I'm thinking of switching to the Tytn II (Kaiser) from my current Touch (Elf), but before buying this expensive device I'd like to get some feedback on the stability of the Tytn II vs. the Touch.
My biggest problems with the Touch are freezing with the display on and shutting down on its own - requiring a soft reset to restart. It does one or the other at least five times a week. A few times it has failed to restart on soft reset after several attempts. I've had to hard reset twice. I thought it might be a bad unit but I've seen too many posts of the same behavior from other Touch owners here and on Howard to believe it's hardware.
What has been the experience with similar problems on the Tytn II?
Any feedback would be very appreciated.

Has anyone noticed that sometimes the wizard soft resets itself, but the interesting thing is that when it comes back up the phone (radio) part of the device has remained intact? That it as soon as you get the first screen you have a signal and do not need to put your pin in etc.
Just thought it was interesting that the 2 parts are totally seperate in hardware.

no soft reset here, (yet)
I did a hard reset earlier today, and so far my k-jam has soft reset itself 3 times (at least that I am aware off). It's weird because this is the first time this has happened to me, I have had the k-jam for 1 1/2 weeks and done 3 hard resets, the first 2 when I was modifying the Extended ROM (day after I got it).
All,
I have had my Vario II for about 3 weeks now and in the last few days I have had to re-align my screen about 5 times a day as tapping on items/menus and keyboard has become completely unresponsive or different actions occur. For example if I tap the 'W' say 10 times I get 6 'W' and 4 'S'.
The device has become completely unusable has anyone else experienced this? I have soft/hard reset the device many times now and sending it back to T-Mobile
I must add that I was one of the very first few to get the Vario 2.
Thanks
Yep send it back for a replacement.
Dear All;
I found a very strange problem for my Dopod 838 pro, it started from two days ago, when I fully charged the battery overnight, my touch screen is working as normal, but say run after a hour, the touch screen start to not working, sometime it can be resume by power off and on. I'd tried to factory restore but still not working. Do your guys have such experience for that. Please share.
Cheers;

If this is not solved by a HARD RESET then get it back under warranty. there are other reported cases of this some folks only get 10 minutes before it happens. Many believe it's caused by expansion due to the device getting warm/hot.
I would do a hard reset (soft reset not sufficient) and then really put it through it's paces over prolonged times and if it repeats, return the device - as it's most likely a hardware problem.

I received a Qtek 9100 for Christmas and was very happy with it until the last week or so. I've noticed that I often have to tap on items several times before the thing responds. Also, the transcriber only works sporadically, and seems to prefer when I write toward the top of the screen. Another oddity that I've noticed is that when I first turn it on and it asks for the password, I have to slide it out as if I'm about to type and then it recognizes the numbers I tap. I've tried both hard and soft resets several times as well as aligning the screen, but to no avail. Overall, I'm very perplexed and incredibly frustrated. The phone, having been purchased on eBay, is without warranty and I am 1.) on a tight budget and
2.) rather new to phone modifications/software/etc... With this in mind, I hope someone out there has a suggestion for a relatively simple fix.
Hi,
yesterday, my Mini went cracy. EITHER the hardware buttons OR the touchscreen works. Neither hardreset nor ROM update couldn't help. Is that a known issue?
Thanks for any hints.
Mine hang for a second time now. No observed pattern. It just froze out of the blue. You can only operate the power button. Restarting the phone will put you in the perpetual boot up "windows mobile" red splash screen. Only cure is to hard reset. And lose all your data.
HD mini is really really weird. It seems this unit had been rushed out of production without any kind of inhouse testing at all.
Sense on HD mini is very slow and buggy.
