so the problem is like this... someone calls me... my phone rings e few times and than it shows me the missed call notification... BUT... at the other end of the line my phone stils rings in the other ones earpiece...
did anyone know what is this about?....
no one? am i the only one to encounter this issue?
I had the approx the same issue before. A hard reset did the trick for me (but you can try a soft reset first).
After this I also changed my SIM card (still had a very old one) and my connection troubles (cut-offs, bad reception on the other side, ...) went away
I hope this helps.
soft reset does not help... maybe i'll try a hard reset... but i gotta have time for this...

Did you try a softreset to make it work again?
did everythinh soft reset hard rest software upgrade nothing works
Sounds like a hardware fault to me. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but I can't think of anything else it could be.
I had sent a phone in for repair, which was then said to be unrepairable and so I was given a replacement niki (however the replacement was a refurbished one).
Its only been a week or so but I have had major problems with calls. Most of the time I cant make or receive calls even though the signal bar has two or three bars. The phone says its dialing but it doesnt and ends the call automatically. If I ring my phone it goes straight to voicemail! Note that I said "most of the time" because my phone calls do go through soemtimes but thats like once every 20 or so tries or if I make a phone call immediately after a soft reset or just get lucky!
The other functions of the phone work fine. I have done a hard reset thinking it was something I installed but the problem is still there. Done another 4 hard resets (each time trying something different like taking the battery out before the custom orange stuff is installed) but with no change.
I did a search and came across another thread but it wasnt really solved and blamed it on S2U2. Obviously S2U2 cant be the cause for me since the problem is there even after a hard reset. (http://forum.xda-developers.com/archive/index.php/t-393077.html and http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=387615)
Im thinking it could be that the radio version is old (since it is a refurbed version) and also I remember reading about poor signals some time ago which was solved by changing the radio version (and is also probably why I didnt have this problem with my original niki).
Note: I have also tried the sim in another normal phone (samsung e900) and it worked fine so this is definately a problem with the touch dual.
A little bit of info:
Im with orange in the Uk,
the ROM version is 1.31.61.10 with a ROM date 10/30/07
and the Radio version is 1.58.16.27.
(Also...I havent done a radio update because I am still under warranty but I would like to know if it could be causing the problem or if it is a hardware problem).
Thanks for reading this long post (didnt think it would turn out so long, lol), but ANY help or advice will be appreciated.
well it sounds like a bad signal, so unless you want to unlock yor phone and try the modded sedna radio (best) id just send it back and complain loudly
Hi there, on my hero it happend almost 2-4 times a days, that at the beginning of an incomming call (10-15 seconds) the call is dropped by the hero. Does anyone expirience the same problem ? If yes, what will be the solution for that, retrun the phone ? Cheers D
Come on, does nobody have such a problem ???
I guess you've answered your own question!
I'd return the phone if I were you.
Regards,
Dave
I also have the same problem.
It happens when you are on GRPS/EDGE and only when its active (receiving/transmitting data). It's apparently a network limitation not much you can do about it
Bandroid, understand and agree to that. This might be the case. But I had an Windows Mobile device before and it never happend, so must be something with the software on the HERO.
Hi , it happened to me also , the problem is the sim card holder , turn off your phone then check it and make sure its tightly closed , because it becomes loss if you dropped the phone .
Hi,
About a week ago I got my new HD2. It's taken me quite a while to set it up just how I like it so I don't really want to have to hard reset unless I really have to... but the problem is that people can't hear me during phone calls. I've tested it myself and when speaking on the phone the volume from my end is ridiculously quiet. I can still record my voice at regular volume and everybody tells me the sound was fine earlier on in the week so it's got to be something that I installed or a registry tweak I made but I don't know which one...
That's why I'm here asking for help. Has anyone else had a similar problem?
In my opinion it might be something to do with WOW SRS but I haven't tested that theory yet...
Well it wasn't WOW SRS. I've tried uninstalling it and it made no difference... Any suggestions would be welcome.
.. I really don't want to have to hard reset.
I've tried uninstalling a few more programs... Still no luck. Unless anyone's got any suggestions I think I'll have to hard reset and start over.
Well I finally decided to hard reset my phone... I did it expecting the problem to be solved but sadly it wasn't so it looks like I might have to send my phone back :'(
Not that it's much help to you now (sorry!) I've had similar experiences with my HD2 but a soft reset cured it for a while. I ended up hard resetting and reinstalling. The only advise I would have is to have a serial of backups to fall back on if you suddenly find a problem. I've learnt this over the years of winmo use.....
The hard reset hasn't helped. I've been reading about microphone AGC settings that can be deactivated but I can't find them in system settings where they should be so I haven't been able to try that yet...
Quick update.
If anyone seems to have the same problem you can probably save yourselves some time and just send the phone back... I've bee told that it's almost certainly hardware failure so it's been sent back for repairs/replacement.
And on a side note SFR are bastards. Don't expect a standard exchange (for a phone less than 7 days old) from a shop whatever the customer service hotline people tell you...
Hi !
I had a problem for 2/3 days. On my Omnia, my handset speaker didn't work anymore. So when I have an incomming call, it isn't practice to take it with the loud speaker.
I had this problem 4/5 months ago, and I resolved it via Diagnosis with the MP3 test (*#0673#). So it was a software problem. But this time, I think it is a hardware problem. I did the MP3 test, I formatted (with MAGLDR bootloader, I had the mi7rom), but nothing...
Do you think it is a soft or hard problem ? Do you know any issue if it is soft ? It is warrented yet, but if I can resolve this problem without send it...
Format with MAGLDR is the same that hard reset ? I will test hard reset later I think... Or change ROM maybe...
Thank you !
If you have done that much, I think the next step is to restore a stock backup and send the phone to samsung service center. Good luck with resolving your problem.

I also experienced this. Hardware failure. The speaker had to be changed. I was lucky the phone was still covered by the warranty ( 2 years by SFR provider )
