I searched for a while trying to find the answer to this question but I came up empty so maybe someone can assist me...
How many service books can be registered on the HTC Tytn when using Blackberry Connect? I have six email addresses and only three are registered. Thanks.

Hello Guys,
Maybe someone can help me.
I got a MDA Vario II on T-Mobile that was delivered this morning (had hundreds yesterday she said, incase anyone is looking). On the Applications CD in the box is the Blackberry Connect software. I installed the software onto the Vario. I already have a blackberry account and went into my account (on my computer) and changed the PIN associated with my account. On the handset in the Instant Email option it says connected but it isn't recieveing any emails. I have clicked on the register button in the instant email option screen, I have sent myself a new service book but it still isn't working. I have even done a hard reset and started again but to no avail.
In the messenger section it has a instant email mailbox but there is nothing in it and the 3 logo at the top says Blackberry (GPRS, 3G) but still nothing.
Does anyone know what is wrong?
Thanks.
Well I figured it out.
I basically set up a whole new Blackberry account and that seemed to solve it. But a new problem is that it only lets you have 4 accounts which is less than before and the pages are completly different than before.
Hi hourami
Good to know you got it working. I got real excited about this, but seem to be having problmes to get it to work. Device and PC are connected fine. I have a PIN created and everything.
I called T-Mobile and they wanted £35 a month to activate Blackberry on my account! This seems very strange to me, as I have Web n Walk.
I have 2 questions for you -
1. What price plan are you on, and how did you get Blackberry activated for your SIM?
2. you say that
"I basically set up a whole new Blackberry account and that seemed to solve it."
How did you do that?
Hope you can help
Cheers

Hi Eric,
1) I pay £10 per month for Blackberry, it is a fixed price and is shown as such on their website and by calling customer services.
2) At http://www.instantemail.t-mobile.co.uk/ you set up an account and put in the pin and imei number and then set up your email accounts, all self explanitory when you go through the screens. You won't get ANY emails though until Blackberry is activated on your account.
Hope this helps.
Soran
Thanks for the quick reply. I'll give it a go and let you know how I get on. Cheers
Good morning, I have an Unlocked Cingular 8525. I Have tmobile service, with a BIS Plan(Blackberry Internet Service). I downloaded the software, and its supposed to give you a PIM Number and an IP Address, but it doesnt give me anything. I am doing this so i can access my blackberry email on my 8525. Any suggestions?
From what I've read in the past, to connect to Blackberry services your device needs to be using the correct Radio version (and probably have the correct MAC) otherwise the Blackberry servers won't let you connect.
Never used Blackberry services though, so don't quote me. ymmv and all the usual.
Hi,
Posting ROM info may help - along with the version of BBConnect. Also, there are many threads on BBConnect so a bit of searching may also help you find the answer.
Maybe asking an obvious question, but hav you installed both the Hermes and PC client on each device, then provisioned the Hermes?
Please can anyone confirm Blackberry connect works with this devide?
Thanks in advance
Yes it works!
Thank you NetrunnerAT
Please can you tell me with what provider + country are you using it?
Thanks!
Hi,
if it works can you provide me the software please or tell me where to get it from?
Thanks for your help!

"blackberry connect 4 download"
Here's my previous post with details....
I've had a few different HTC models ranging from the Wizard to the Hermes and I'm now the proud owner of a Touch Dual - its the original HTC Decice with the standard HTC Rom and Radio.
I've had it for 2 weeks now and I'm more than happy but spent most of last weekend getting my Blackberry Service set up after archiving my Hermes. It took me an age as there was no advice on which version of the Blackberry Connect Software would work as all the ones I had would not connect.
I finally came across RIMs latest offering and at last - all working with no issues!
The version you need is: bbconnect_wm6_pro_4[1].0.0.90
Tried to attach the CAB file directly but no joy??? For those that need it you can download directly from:
http://sems.org/content/download/bbc...B_4.0.0.91.exe
You'll of course need the blackberry service enabled on your Sim and configure using the desktop manager when connected to your corporate network.
Hope this little snippet helps and that I haven't repeated information available for the Vogue already available?

Hi,
Relatively new on here so i hope i'm not asking an already answered question?
Search result was nagative so here goes.....
Just took on an O2 bolt on for wifi with BT Openzone and The Cloud. Tried to use BT Openzone for the first time and i cannot get connected.
I select O2 from the drop down list which redirects me to an O2 page requesting my mobile number as log in. After entering this it will not recognise the number and tells me to try again or to call customer service.
As my HD was bought sim free and O2 do not sell this phone, they can't help.
I did read that some people with i-phones had similar problems and this was apparently down to IP addresses?
Working away from home and need to use Skype for calls home.
Thanks in advance for any help.
Anyone got any ideas?
Sounds like an O2 problem to me. They probably haven't setup your account properly. And not helping because its a Touch HD is rubbish as they gave me support on setting mine up a few weeks ago. They are even ment to be getting the HD on their network soon anyway!
I'd give them a call and don't say that you have the HD see what they saY!
