Has anyone experience from using both GoodLink and AKU2 Push? Which solution is best? As far as I understand GoodLink uses its own mail and calendar applications. Are these better or worse than the included Pocket Outlook versions?
Any comments are appreciated.

Hi all!
I have the following problem. I got the german MDA Compact from T-Mobile and they sell it with the software PhotoContacts in the ROM.
Unfortunately there is - as far as I know, please correct me if I am wrong - no way to sync the photos you assign there with Outlook. Which I think is a shame.
With the Caller2picture program it is possible to sync those with Outlook (via Caller2picture Sync) and I was wondering if it would cause any conflicts with the already installed PhotoContacts program.
Any advice on this?
Cheers!
Tried and installed the app but with no success. When I tried to lauch it via the context menu it gave me an error that it could not be launched. Any Advice? Please..?
I tried it too and i think it was quite crappy. Try PocketX PhotoContacts instead. This will work parallell to the one that comes with your phone.
Can I sync the Photos with Outlook? That is my primary goal. As everything else is possible with the built-in app.
Cheers
You cannot sync Photocontacts with MS Outlook.
It's only WM2005 can sync Contacts Photo with MS Outlook.
Need to wait until it release.
I am using a K-JAM and I'm unable to sycn my tasks OTA with Exchange. We are running Exchange 2003 SP2 and there are a couple other people in the office on the same server running Sprint 6700s that work fine. Any ideas?
My Calendar, Inbox and Contacts work great, and the Tasks box is checked.
Thanks
afaik tasks cannot my synced ota with exchaneg.. google it
I have found mixed messages on this which is why I posted here. Some places say that you only need WM5 and Exchange 2003 SP2. Other places say you need Messaging Feature Pack installed on WM5.
Does anyone know which is true? The option is available on my K-JAM to sync tasks, I just does nothing.
Has anyone here sucessfully synced their tasks OTA?
Thanks
Tasks sync-ed OTA
I can sync Tasks OTA using 4SmartPhone and my K-Jam with no issues. I recently switched to 4SmartPhone from MailStreet (both are hosted Exchange Services). I was NOT able to sync Tasks OTA with MailStreet, so it is most likely a server-side software set up, not a client-side issue, since I have not changed anything on my phone (no ROM upgrades, etc).
Steve
I confirmed with two of my coworkers that they are infact syncing tasks OTA with a Sprint 6700 and JasJar (T-Mobile).
The strangest thing is that we are on the same Exchange server.
I tried a hard rest today thinking that something was foobar on my K-JAM because of all the software, but I am seeing the same issue.
I guess it could be an issue with my Exchange mailbox, but I can't think of any settings that would cause this. I'll try syncing with my home Exchange sever (geek) this weekend and see if it has the same issue.
I want to use my 8125 with my IMAP account for push email. The way I see it should be pretty simple to make a program that looks for a SMS message (which I would set my email server to forward) that would then trigger pocket Outlook to check my IMAP account.
Does anyone know of a program that would do this or know how hard it would be to program it? I would be willing to pay (a small fee) for the right application.
Looks like I should have searched a bit harder before I posted - http://www.pocketpcthoughts.com/index.php?action=expand,47016
Ill try it out and post my findings here.
I can't seem to get that to work on my device. Does anyone else have any ideas?
Hi, I have been using the app at www.vgsmail.com/ppc and it works great for me
fowen did you find something similar to this for the wm2003se system.
I also noticed that this only works with wm5.0 but my device is 2003se and all i have is a pop3 email client.
If you have a POP3, IMAP4 or hotmail plus account you can use Pocket X-Press for email push capability.
You can find informations here: www.pocketxpress.com
It is for WM2003 und WM5 devices with integrated GPRS/UMTS modem.
Hey

Hi,
I'm using my 8525 to sync with my exchange 2003 server. This works great and the folders I selected using ActiveSync 4.5 are downloading the e-mails as they do on my office PC desktop. Here's my problem, any email that doesn't come directly into the "Inbox" doesn't notify me on my 8525 as it does on my Outlook 2007. Is there a way to tell the phone to notify me when any email get synced into any folder???
Thanks
Steve
Me too!
Does anyone know of a way to get WM5 or WM6 to notify you when you get a new message in a Sub Folder under 'Inbox'???
Is there a registry hack or 3rd party program that can do the trick?
Many thanks for your help in advance!
Cheers,
Jason
quick answer is no.
I was bothered by this also coming from the blackberry world, but that is the way M$ has set it up.
I had heard it was going to be addressed in future releases, but in WM6 it is still the same. Unless I am missing something.
