Hi,
Pocket Hotmail 2.2 seems not fully compatible with WM2003.
There's a WM2003 patch for Pocket Hotmail 2.2 at this link.
However, even with the patch installed, some have reported that hotmail account still doesn't show. Anyone who can get this to work, please advice.
Cheers.
I had the same on my XDA II, installed the patch and still not hotmail. Waiting for the next patch...
Hotmail Accounts
Hotmail do not allow POP access, so you will be unable to setup an 'inbox'

Push Gmail

I just upgraded to the AKU2 rom, is it now possible to have my gmail pushed to my phone? If so, how do I set this up?

No,
The "Direct Push" email stuff that comes with AKU2 ROM's is designed to work with Microsoft Exchange server.
To push gMail to a phone you could setup gMail to forward your mails to a service that uses Microsoft Exchange server like Mail2Web.com and use that push them onto your Wizard. I think Mail2Web offer a free service that can do this.
This is correct, go to mail2web, make an account there. Then put the settings of the mail2web website in the server settings in Active Sync on your device. Configure Gmail to autmatically forward the emails to your mail2web account and you'll get them pushed to your device.

Email Questions and Problems with wizard

First, I have a question about the push feature of the new t-mobile release of wm5. I have read on forums about a G3 and G4 versions of the wizard. Does this affect the push email, because my icon in the comm manager is grayed out.
Second, does anyone here pop gmail? I have many problems when I try through edge or GPRS. I use the settings
pop.gmail.com:995
smtp.gmail.com:465
it downloads my sent and received emails in my inbox and everytime it reconnects to check for new mail it deletes the mail it downloaded earlier. Has anyone else had this problem or have any ideas? Thanks.

hey... ur icon is probably grayed out cos u dont have a push mail server configured... push mail needs a exchange 2003 server with sp2... mail2web is a free mail service that'll give u free access to push mail...
gmail settings are such that u lose any mails that u have downloaded earlier... i've forwarded all mail from my gmail account to my mail2web account and configured the mail2web account for push mail... this way i get all mails coming into my gmail account instantly n they stay on the phone as long as i want them to...
hope this helps...
It helps a great deal thank you. Normally I expect to be able to turn something on and off without having it configured yet. I will try fowarding my gmail too.

[Q] Having problems sync'ing HTC Mail via IMAP

I've set up my HTC Mail to access my IMAP email, but it doesn't sync up the Sent folder. All outgoing mail goes into 'SENT' instead of 'INBOX:Sent', and even if I manually move them to 'INBOX:Sent' they don't sync with my server.
Anyone have any ideas of how I can overcome this?
(Mods, please move to the correct forum if this ain't it...)
Thanks in advance.
best solution is to not use htc mail and use e.g. k9-mail, it's just better and also it has less battery drain

Can't Seem to setup Exchange Active Sync

Can't Seem to setup the Exchange Active Sync account on my Arc, using default mail client. Using the exact same settings which had worked on my HTC Desire, but when I clicked next, it just runs some processes, and doesn't proceed any further.
Using the same settings, I downloaded Touchdown on my arc and tried, and of course it works.
Anybody have any clue?
Is this hotmail by any chance? It would be interesting if you are experiencing this with anything other than hotmail as I know this is something experienced with Hotmail connecting to the default mail client...
p.s. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1019675&page=2 ;-)
Thanks! it's actually a home.microsoftonline.com service not hotmail..
Tried everything I could... doesn't work..
Hello, I succeed in installing an exchange account (mail2web) on my Arc with no issue for email, agenda and contacts. The only problem is that my contacts are not sorted by Name/First Name but First Name/Last Name.
