Hello every 1
I am trying to upgrade my Radi STack (RSU)
I have an excutable file with the new RSU. When I ran, it takes me through few steps where at the end my XDA is rebooted and I get a button on my screen that says "Start" to start the upgrade process. When I press it, after few seconds I get a get an error message saying "Falsh Failed". When I press Ok (what else?!), The XDA is rebooted again and the process is repeated. If I do a format for the XDA, things go to normal.
DOes any 1 know what is going wrong here and how to fix this?
THX
Which ROM do you have? Which ROM are you trying to install? Etc.
I have 3.18.04 and R3.23.01 for the RSU and bootloader 5.22
I am trying to install the RSU 4.16
Also, when I have tried to install the XDA speciall ROM, it didn't work where after I see the screen "Upgrading" on my screen and the upgrading window on my computer asking me to wait for about 5 minutes, the activsync link is disconnected.
It is not clear to me what is the problem, is it the ROm, the bootloader or what?
Hello,
Well to explain my problem. I had the RUU_Prophet_2151327_21513121_021921_DOP_ASIA_WWE_Ship-NoVendorID flashed onto my O2 XDA Neo. No problems, but sometimes I couldn't go back to desktop because "programms" didn't want to close. So I went to look for a dutch firmware. I found one and tried it. It didn't work, but my XDA Neo was already at 1% and didn't go further. So I pulled the cable out of the telephone. Now it doens't pass the red, green, blue screen when starting the phone. Hard reset doens't help eather. Wenn I connect it to the computer, activesync says "not connected".
On the screen it says:
RUU
IPL 2.15.0001
SPL 2.15.0001
Please help me out, because I really don't know what to do anymore
Encountered your case before while trying to downgrade with no success.
I suggest you try to turn back to dopod wwe rom and install it again before further attempts to brick your device.
Active sync tells it's not connected, that's normal because you connect a device which has no rom now.
You should see "USB" at the bottom of the screen once connecting to PC. Then start the rom update.
It will try to discover what's in your pda and will report you "nothing", which is logic. Click update and go. It should proceed...
Good luck.

Thank you so much! I reflashed my old rom, and the device works fine again. But is it not possible to run an older rom? I would like to have the dutch version.
If your device is Sim unlocked, you may try the famous specific rom availIable at:
http://en.pdamobiz.com/en/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=437&PN=1&TPN=1
This rom is for downgrading in a first step and cid unlocking in the second step exclusively and not for continous use . Once these two task are done, you can install any ROM you want.
Reminder: You can not install other language without CID unlocking.

It is not true. You can install any language ROM using NoVendorID patched reflashing utility.
Yes and no!
If the ROM to write is never "patched rom update utility" will bypass the CID check step and continue to install.
But it the new rom is older (ie 2.09 to write over 2.13) problems start there and you get an error in most cases. In that case we need to downgrade.
I've faced and practiced both cases.
Thanks for details...
I dragged my Mini s out of the draw thinking it dead for the past few months, after using the battery jump start trick got her up and running again. now, after using mobile 6 on my other HTC i wanted to upgrade on this one, nothing fancy just bog standard mobile 6. its an O2 G4 model, I also checked it with the wizard service tool. I then used the hard SPL G$ tool to unlock it, that went fine. the device repowered and worked. I then tried to load in windows mobile 6 from this thread
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=355591
after its started the flash I got an error message saying "error 300 invalid update tool" please get a newer tool, I have tried to run it again and now get the message " error 2641 cannot connect " and now all I have is an XDA with a red, green and blue screen showing IPL2.21.0001, SPL 2.21,0lip and "usb" in the bottom left corner
is it bricked? can I recover it, I will be gutted if it is bricked as I followed the instructions to the letter
btw I havnt disconnected it from the USB at all, just leaving it there until I get somne advice from here
update, bit the bullet and unplugged, soft reset and its all as it should be, on windows mobile 5.
so my question now is why didnt the Rom update in the link above work? or am I just a noob doing it wrong...
try downloading another rom and flash it again...even if it isn't connected in activesync ignore that and flash away...if that still doesn't work try your original rom wm5 and then flash a wm6 again...it's not bricked(see below)

Your ROM Update may not have worked because, maybe it was not built for the G4 Wizard. so try anyother ROM
xda2_hasseb most of the WM6 roms available for download on xda-developers are G4 safe as they don't conntain ipl and spl flash....so you can safely flash a Windows Mobile 6 rom without bricking your Wizard
'XDA Mobile 6 Release 5 FINAL' is the latest custom build wm6 rom, build for both the devices,it can be flashed to both the devices G3 and G4 safely, its one of the most favourite roms.
Thakx xardas_90, i knew they didnt had the IPL and SPL with them but i didnt knew that it was IPL & SPL not the ROM it self that caused the Bricking of the G$ WIzards i thought Windows ROM for G3 and G4 were different but THANKS for the info. TC
Thanks for the advice, got it done and works a treat, except no data transfer or sms or net conncetion, still soldiering on, at best it will work, at worst, well i guess my son gets a hand me down lol

You need to get GPRS/MMS settings configured, get these settings from your carrier, only then you'll be able to connect to internet/SMS/MMS, or check out the 'XDA Mobile 6 Release 5 FINAL' rom thread, you might find the appropriate GPRS/MMS settings there of your concerned network.
First off, howdy to everyone on the forums!
Alright, I flashed my AT&T 8125 with a super feature-packed wm6 rom andd everything was working perfectly. I got a little disenchanted with TouchFlo, so I downloaded a vanilla rom and tried to flash it again.
Bad mistake - at 99% the flashing process stopped and said something about "communication error." The 8125 was displaying a screen with a fading red bar, a fading green bar, and a fading blue bar with some numbers in the upper left (IPL 3.08 and SPL 3.08). Oh, and there's "RUU" displayed in the upper right. It will sit at this screen forever.
However, when I plug it into my computer with a mini usb cable, the phone just acts like an unrecognized usb device (I get the usb connected sound on the computer) and the phone starts blinking on and off, displaying the same screen as before.
How badly is this thing messed up? Is there any way to fix this? I hear tell of some "boot from mini-sd card" sorcery, but I have no idea.
I got almost the same problem...
Hi,
I got the same problem...after flashing to 100% it was stuck and has to take it off. And after that it comes on with three color bars and does not connects thru Active snyc....and every ROM unitluty says there is connection error.....
Any help from anyone....
Thnx!1
Hello,
same happened to me...and no ROM utility would work.
...except : the old WM5 "button" ROM that people use to downgrade.
you can start from there. Downgrade to that ROM, and if successfull, then you can reapply IPL/SPL upgrade, Radio upgrade, then the latest WM6 ROM of your choice.
The name of the "button" ROM I used, should you need to Google it :
"CUSTOM__RUU_Wizard_1050412_WWE_101_11210_WWE"

Did you read the stickies in the Wizard Mobile 6 Board? Somehow that seems unlikely, if you're still lost.
hi there, im new here and ive been searching on the forum for a long time, but i didnt see any solution for my problem... (or maybe i was blind) so when i was trying to flash back original ROM from bootloader screen through USB, it didnt show my current image version info on the screen, but it did show the image version that im going to upgrade... however, i still let it updated and it said its succeed. but when my phone going to reboot, it stuck on the "stick together" screen... btw, my phone is PB81120 SS-B3 SPL-2.08. HSPL 8G XE. hope someone can help me solve my problem... thanks first :]
Go into bootloader again and connect the device to your PC via usb (should show USB at the the bottom in bootloader) and run the Rom Update Utility again. But first make sure the ROM is compatible with TmoUS Hd2.
I would recommend flashing stock from the bootloader just to be safe.
but i was trying to install T-Mobile_HD2_MR_Software_2.13.531.1 under bootloader, and it still the same... :[
Was that what you origonally tried updating to? Or was it a custom rom you had tried?
Sent from my HTC HD2 using XDA App
that was the latest i tried to updating to, or any different kinds of version of original ROMs... before, i tried to update a custom ROM on it first, but it failed :[ actually, when i first got my phone it was unlocked, so while i was waiting to get the unlock code for it, i decided to install android on it... later on i had successfuly putting android on it, and by that time i got my unlock code too. then i typed it in and my phone just reboot and stuck on the "stick together" screen till now... so i started to look through the forum and found out that most ppl said is to reflash the ROM back to the original one first, and then everything would be alright... but i guess it didnt work on my phone D:
Have you tried a hard reset? (Hold both volume buttons while booting)
Sent from my HTC HD2 using XDA App
yeah... i tried everything :[
hi,
don't worry, your problem is resolvable. (as long as you see something on screen, you are lucky.)
1) When the stick together screen comes, do you see any numbers on left bottom after waiting for some time say 1 min.
if yes, then your problem is missing OS image only.
in this case, take out the battery. after that, keep volume down pressed all the time and insert battery again. press power button, if mobile does not start immediately. please keep volume down button pressed till the time tricolor screen does not come on. after that connect cable to computer and update normally.
2) If you don't see any number, it may mean multiple things, which all are resolvable. (most likely bootloader stuck in another mode.)
in any case, try steps in given in 1 and report back. before reporting back please install mtty on your computer as it is needed to send commands to mobile to get out of this mode.
