Can you stop the "which network to connect" dialog - Networking

I use a SanDisk WiFi SD. Whenever my Magician detects some WiFi network around, a dialog box would pop up asking me which network to connect to.
This is very annoying.
Is there any registry hack to stop this?
Thanks.

How to use WiFiFoFum on a xda2s

My XDA2s it set up in the normal way, i have changed one of the WiFi setting so i can do Activesync at home with my laptop over WiFi.
My problem is when i am out i turn on the WiFi then turn on WiFiFoFum and when it finds a unsecure network i hold the stylus on the line displaying the details of the found network and click connect. But it never connects.
if i close WiFiFoFum then wait for the normall PPC program to tel me about a connection. I can connect fine. i have tried this with the standard PPC program set to "connect to unsecure networks automatically" and do not connect automatically. but i have tried to connect using WiFoFoFum but never can.
I know how stupid all this sound but can someone pleae let me know what setting they use and typically how they would connect to a network they found using WiiFoFum
Thanks
John
It doesn't sound stupid. I have the exact same problem. At work theres two networks, on open without wep and another with wep where i dont have the key. The phone keep connecting to the the wrong network all the time. Wififofum is unable to connect to another network for me.
My workaround is to turn off wlan and retry. If that doesnt work I have to restart the phone.

Using wifi to surf

I've bought a Sandisk wifi card for my XDA2 and I'm having difficulty using it to surf the 'net. An example, a friend of mine has a wireless network at his home and whenever I pick him up the XDA finds the network and asks if I want to connect to the web. I then launch IE which then tries to connect with GPRS. I've looked at the settings but I'm unsure what to change to allow IE to use the wifi connection. Someone here must have experience setting this up. Thanks.
has your mate set his wep encryption correctly? ask him to set it to open and see if that lets you on. On your security settings make sure you turn off any encyption. Once thats done, and you are on, then re set both security levels and try again and type the wep key for the router into the xda/sandisk settings. If that fails from memory, select work instead of internet on the xda.
When I go into the settings for that connection it says it's open with no encryption. There's a similar network at work although I suspect it's a nearby school - open network without encryption. I thought this would be easier to set-up! And what is a wep key?

Sandisk 256MB WIFI Problem with my magician

help...
I could not access the internet after being able to connect to my wireless network. I can see that my wireless network is connected cos I have an IP address and the signal is good but when I launch the internet explorer, i keep getting a message "the page you are looking for cannot be found".
Also I noticed that when I go to settings/connections/network cards/network adapters, i realised that the setting "my network card connects to" is always work. I can't seem to change it permanently to "the internet".
is there something I missed out???
You should have a drop down menu and select "The Internet" or "Work" and when press OK it shoud stay in whatever you select. Do you have the latest drivers from Sandisk, i have one also and don't seem to have any problem with it.

Dear all,
I'a a newbee and i've been trying to connect to my home wireless network but I can't. I go to the "Configure wireless networks" and find a list of network adapter. I guest the one i need to config is "SDIO Wlan wireless adapter". I have played around with it, with or without IP address but it doens't work. I select "My work network" under "programs that automatically connect to the Internet should connect using" but it doesn't work. Could someone help me out please?
Cheers
try 64 bit encryption
I couldn't connect to my work or home networks with my Vario. it turned out 128 bit encryption was not playing. once I set the access key to 64 bit it connected no bother.
no encription option
Hi,
When I set up a new wireless network, i put name, then choose "connect to the internet" in the "general" tap. In the "network key" tab, i choose "open" under authentication and "disabled" in data-encryption field (the other choice is WEP) because i don't set any password for my home WIFI.
Could someone help me, please?
Normally the my device should pick up the signal automatically. in the "configure wireless networks" window i find a list of many networks in the "wireless" tab, including the one i set up, but none of them connects to my home wireless network.
HELP! HELP! HELP!
thanks

Connecting to WiFi problems

I have a T-Mobile Wing running the stock ROM. Every time I try to connect to my home's access point, I get an error telling me that the access point is unavailable. My Wing can "see" the access point (and those of my neighbors), but it can't connect to it.
When I try to connect, I get a message saying "Multiple Networks Detected". I select my "network", then it asks if I want to connect to the Internet or Work. I select "Internet". The icon at the top shows the arrows moving, but then stops and tells me again that "Multiple Networks Detected". This time, my network isn't on the list.
I dismiss that and go to the "Configure Wireless Networks" page and it shows me all the available networks - including mine - but it says that mine is "Unavailable".
What's going on here? Do I have a bad Wing? Do I need to adjust the network drivers? Please point me in the right direction.
Same problem with Wing
Were you able to fin a solution to this problem? I have the same situation with my Wing. Thanks if advance for anyone with a solution.
