Today i got to know that even if my phone is locked anyone can open the drop down menu and disable my internet connection or blue tooth or even shutdown my phone from the power icon.
I found no way to have the pull down disabled from the setting or by googling here and there.
Do any one know of anything which can disable the pull down menu (tiles menu) from the lock screen.

Even you managed to disable the tiles menu, anyone could just reboot the phone to recovery mode to make it go offline.

On my Mobile Shell Now Screen, it suddenly says "unlock" & i am required to unlock the phone everytime. I didn't set this up, it must have been done on accident. Any ideas how to turn it off so i can just start using the phone by hitting the power button again? I've looked through all the settings I can think of & can't figure this out. Help please!
any light on this? This JUST occured on my 6800. I have S2U and did not fool with settings. Just happened today.
Reinstalled S2U, Removed S2U (deleted folders and reg keys as well).....still happens
******************UPDATE*********************
Found the error. I have Battery Status on my front screen, for some reason it glitched and there is a setting withing the settings of battery status that "locks" upon wakeup with device lock not s2u. Problem solved
Hello, everybody
When I press and hold down the "hang up" key, my phone goes in lock mode. That's great. But is there someway to get the phone to do this automaticly? For example after 30 sec or so. I've not found any solutions here in this forum.
I know there is some 3rd part program that can fix this, but I have read that there is some issues with these programs, so I really hope that I can manage to do this without any 3rd part programs.
I will be very happy if someone could help me with this issue
(I'm terribly sorry for my bad english)
Go to Start > Settings > tab Advanced.
There, just set the options you want. Basicly, when it turns off the display at the times you set, the phone also locks.
(actually, it only locks when the 2nd option is activated, which is something like "Turn off device when not used for...". It's not really turned Off, the Display just goes off, and the phone gets locked).

Thanks for quick answer.
Actually there is no tab Advanced when I go to Settings. I have three tabs in Settings, it's in norwegian, but I can try to transelate it to english: Personal - System - Connections. I can't find any of the options you mentioned in your post.
I also like to be more precise with my problem: My display turnes of after some sec, but that not the same as the key lock-function I want. When I press and hold my "hang up"- key I have to press "Unlock" in the down right corner and then I have to confirm it in the middle of the screen afterwards to unlock it. I want my phone to automatically lock after some time not only turn of the screen.
When I have my phone in the pocket I often accidentaly turn on the screen with the power button and the phone starts to call someone. That won't happen with the key lock activated.
Hmm, well, for me, when the Screen turns Off, it Auto-locks the phone. So what you want. This is with the Default HTC Rom.
I wrote the location wrong, it is:
Start > Settings > tab System > Energy > tab Advanced.
Edit 2: Ok, now I realised why this is working for me. I used HD Tweak to change something.
With what I did, I have *exactly* what you want: Device goes off after x seconds, and then locks.
1) I used HD Tweak (from this forum)
2) There go to: 4) Lock > 4.1 AutoLock
3) Turn that on.
4) Go back to this: Start > Settings > tab System > Energy > tab Advanced.
5) There turn OFF the 1st Option (which dims it to half screen brightness, but it's buggy with the option I mentioned at 2), HD Tweak Warns for it. So by turning off this option, you work around that bug)
6) Turn on the 2nd Option (Turn off Device after X time) (which actually means turn off Screen...)
Now, what this does in my case is:
1) After 1 Minute my Screen goess Off because of the setting under Start > Settings > tab System > Energy > tab Advanced.
2) Because of the HD Tweak, it locks the keypad.
So thats what you want.
Thank you very much, Seven_PRX! Your instructions worked perfectly, and just the way I wanted

With this solution, I had problem when the screen dims : the screen locks itself too. So, I needed to unlock it, but the screen doesn't light up no more. I had to switch my phone ON then OFF to have the full brightness back. But maybe it was a bug with my install...
But now, I use VJDeviceLock with its "VJDeviceLockInstall" that lock the phone when I switch it ON. If you have the problem I had, it might be the solution

That's why I don't have this problem you mentioned
Yep, I saw that just after posting my comment
But I like to have the light to dim to warn me that the screen is going off... So I thought I could give you another way to have an "autolock" function
Btw, a quick way to unlock your phone & turn the screen on is simply by taking out your stylus (this unlocks the phone & turns the display on). It's quicker than pressing the On button and then Pressing "unlock" twice.
I'm using an alarm clock called Morning Routine. It's great since I'm a heavy sleeper, but I have one problem with it. While the program DOES lock the screen and keep me from going home and closing the app, I can still long-press the power button, access the Phone Options menu, and turn the phone off. I'm a heavy enough of a sleeper that I figured out how to do this while still half-conscious. So, I was wondering if it is possible to develop a script to temporarily or permanently do one of the following:
1) Disable the long-press of the power button to launch the Phone Options menu.
2) Remove Power Off from the Phone Options menu (I know some ROMs add Reboot to this menu, so theoretically, couldn't something be removed?)
3) Re-map the long-press of the power button to another function (thereby disabling the Phone Options menu)
None of these will be a problem if they are permanent - I can download an app that will allow me to shutdown my phone from a widget instead of the power button.
Oh, I'm on the crappy ol' Samsung Moment
Admin, feel free to move this if necessary.
+1.
has ANYONE got a fix for this pls?!?! my daughters are driving me CRAZY turning my GTab off...
Try Button Remapper: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=850464
As for the reboot option in the power options, have a look at this then reverse the process: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=811532
you could just get your daughters to not turn off your device...
That's really unhelpful.
I have this issue too - on an HTC desire running DevNull ROM. (Also happens with Oxygen - tried it.) http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=14709327
Please help!
EDIT: Resolved by using android device manager to push a factory reset.
Today my phone boots fine and applications like my VPN begin running normally. However, the entire screen is black (besides my status bar) and there is no haptic feedback or lock screen accessibility. I changed my lockscreen and encryption password last night and never properly rebooted; the phone powered off due to lack of battery... I suspect this may have triggered the problem.
- I can pull down the status bar and change settings, activate car mode (which works,) etc. I cannot enter the full settings menu or any applications though. Nor am I prompted to enter my lock screen password after the initial decrypt during boot.
- Removing SD card does not help.
- Booting into safe mode does not help.
- Opening S finder via pulldown menu briefly flashes my home screen or whatever application is open.
Does anyone have any ideas about how to fix this?
I've had my S7 Edge G935A since release date. I love this phone, never had a problem until yesterday.
So I left work placing my phone in my pocket checked the time after departing since the meeting ran late all looked good on my phone.
walked into my buddy's house wanted to show him a picture, and my entire screen was greyscale, I thought maybe extreme powersave got turned on in my pocket, so I swipe down to access quick settings, and they are all gone, the gear is there. I tap the gear, and settings comes up:
Wifi
Bluetooth
Mobile Networks
More Connection settings
Edge screen
Battery
Help
NO Other settings no way to swipe just access to those settings,
Click my list of apps and only the like the default gapps.
I have not rooted, or done any major things to the phone I did use adb to format the memory card as internal storage.
I searched google and only found options to turn on greyscale, but I had no access to accessibility in settings, no access to power saving mode.
If I restarted my phone it would come up in color then go greyscale.
I took it to AT&T they stared at it for 30 min before recommending a factory reset.
I didn;t want to but I didn't know what else to do.
Has anyone seen this, know what I did, or how to undo it?
It's fixed now I'm just wondering how it happened and how to undo it if I somehow do it again
Lol you just activated ultra power saving mode or emergency mode.

So how do you turn that off without factory wiping it, when it won't give you access settings or apps?
I thought Ultra savings mode too but couldn't turn it off because I didn't have access to settings

Emergency Mode Emergency
mode conserves your device’s remaining power when you are in an emergency situation. Emergency mode saves battery power by:
• Changing the color of the screen to grayscale.
• Restricting application usage to only essential applications and those you select.
• Turning off Mobile data when the screen is off.
• Turning off connectivity features such as Wi-Fi and Bluetooth ® .
Note: When Emergency mode is turned off, the Location settings may stay the same as they were in Emergency mode. Activate Emergency Mode To activate Emergency mode:
1. Press and hold the Power key to display the Device options window.
2. Tap Emergency mode > Turn on. • When accessing for the first time, read the Terms and conditions. If you accept them, tap the Checkbox, and then tap Agree. Confirm when prompted.
Turn Off Emergency Mode ?
From the Emergency mode Home screen, tap More > Turn off Emergency mode
This is what it was, but somehow I got the Google Now launcher while in emergency mode, so I didn't have the more option to turn it off.
Thanks I knew someone here would know

When you have either of the modes activated, there is a "more" button on the upper right of the screen (the actual screen area, not the notification). Press that and there should be a turn off option.
