Hello, I have an Android Head-Unit from Wondefoo that I purchased a while ago.
Everything was fine until possibly a recent (or not?) Android Auto update, where upon launch of Android Auto via the Zlink app, the car radio is turned off. I have to manually navigate out to Android Auto to turn on the radio again before going back to AA.
Its a pain to do this on every car start. Does anyone know a fix for this? I tried uninstalling Google app updates but that didn't fix it. I also disabled the AA launching of music apps, and they didn't fix it either.
Hi did you find a fix for this? I have the same issue

I'm so glad I've found this forum. My hope was gone but now I've seen so many experienced users I think there might be a solution!
What's happening:
Needed to turn off battery to instal HU. Car date went back to 2-1-2013 12:00PM. When I change the date in the HU, after the minute changes, it goes back to 2-1-2013 12:01PM (because one minute has passed).
Probably the unit is not being able to send CAN commands to the car? Even tough all steering wheel commands still work with new HU.
With the wrong date I cannot use any applications (Chrome, Waze, Facebook, Spotify, Google Maps). And ClockSync only works in root (my unit isn't rooted, I've already tried using KingRoot but it didn't worked).
The second problem is that I've messed up with the factory settings to get the unit to send sound to speakers, and now when I put the gear in reverse, it just shows the radar in the display, the reverse camera stopped showing (it used to show before setting factory settings to default).
Sorry for so many questions, but I'm a beginner to Android and here in Brazil no one has ever seen these Android HU. (My model is CA380-XLA HD from Caska, and they have a ****ty customer support)
No answer yet.
I discovered a few things: the HU time and date is determined by the cars ECU date (it's a 2012 Hyundai IX35).
When I was installing the HU I had to unplug the car battery and the ECU was reset, going back to 2013. The Hyundai GDS (ECU scan tool) wasn't able to set the car date and time.
The time sync options in Android are "frozen" in "don't sync". So my plans are to use Clocksync after rooting the unit.
I've tried to root the HU with many self-contained APKs with no success.
When trying to root with a computer, there's no "developer menu", so I hit the kernel version three times to enable developer mode and it said it was already in that mode. Still no menu showing up, no "enable usb debug" option, so when I plug the USB cable, no device is detected, making me unable to root that way.
Please, any suggestions? I've paid $500 for installation and $2100 for this HU that just doesn't work.
Hi All,
I have a Chinese head unit in my car with android 5.1
I've been using it for about 2 years but suddenly the radio stopped working.
When i open the app, there is no sound and also the tuner doesn't work, clicking the auto scan, tuner forward and backward does nothing. Also I've accessed the extra settings and there is no radio option displayed.
I'm not sure if this is a hardware or software issue so can anyone help me diagnose the issue further ?
Thanks in advance
I am having the exact same issue with a Seicane unit I put in my Ford Explorer. It just stopped working one day but everything else works as it should.
Android 8.0, 4G+32G, 8-core CPU. I'll have to get more specific specifications later.
Good Day all. Hoping I could get some help with my new Android 9.1 inch head unit, version 10.1 (Model YJ9213AJ). I just installed the unit and have an issue with the CarPlay (usb dongle) which stops playing almost instantly when connected to Spotify and/or my songs on the iPhone. If I click play again it stops within a second. It also stops playing media files on my USB (local music) when it switches to the home screen, which it does on its own after playing music for approx a minute or two. I reset the system and unfortunately still have the same issue. Also on the bluetooth I get "please connect HFP first" too, maybe related IDK?.
Anyone have any suggestion on how I can try and fix these issues. Thank you in advance.
I had problems with android auto if bt was also trying to connect to the phone as an audio device. Disabled bt audio fixed it.
Then I just dumped android auto and went back to bt
Fixed it. Reset the unit and added apps one by one until the culprit was found. It was the CarPlay dongle app that caused the entire issue. Strange.
My unit, bought in late 2021, has a bug with the built-in radio app. It seems that the unit defaults to playing fm radio when I first start my car or in between other app choices like SiriusXM or Apple Music. I've been in the secret settings menu, don't have this app checked in the "Whitelist" so it plays over other apps, and cannot find a way turn it off! Anyone have this issue and a resolution? I don't use ota radio so I would love to just get rid of it.
I just recently installed an Eonon R80 (Android 11) unit in my 2009 Suburban. It has been a pain in my butt since the moment we got it installed.
I have my Android (Zfold 3) hooked up with the ZLink App via CarPlay. This is all well and good, but it has some quirks that I'm not able to figure out:
1) How do I get to anything beyond Navigation? I want to use Waze, not Google, and I want to be able to see other apps but can't figure out how to get to the menu.
2) The built-in apps seem to be largely inaccessible without WiFi, but when I try to go to the Settings, ZLink immediately comes up and thwarts all attempts at working in the Settings at all. I don't know how to get it to stop doing that, so currently, I can't get to Netflix, Spotify, or anything else, because they need WiFi but I can't get on my phone's WiFi due to ZLink.
Any help with this would be extremely appreciated! I'm going on vacation soon, and the whole purpose of this installation was so that I had a better head unit for the extremely long journey, but right now, I'm really disappointed and their manual is AWFUL.
