I have a Galaxy Tab A (SM-T510) running Android 11. I'd like to migrate settings and apps to it from my old Lenovo Tab 4 (TB-8504F/Android 8). I've factory reset the Galaxy Tab and downloaded the Smart Switch app on the Lenovo tablet, but the Smart Switch app on the Galaxy Tab cannot connect to it.
I'm also not being offered an option to restore from my Google Device Backups following the factory reset of the Galaxy Tab - the only restore option I'm offered is Samsung Smart Switch, which isn't working.
Any idea how I can migrate from the Lenovo to the Galaxy Tab A?

Hey guys,
Firstly apologies if this is an already existing thread.
Basically I bought the relatively new 10.1 Tab Pro running 4.42, and I'm having trouble connecting it to my Samsung galaxy s4 via Samsung link. When I open the application on either device I can clearly see each device but when I try and connect to either device it comes up with the error message : unable to connect to the device. Check the connection status.
Now I've researched this issue and a majority of the time people say to clear the All share data and cache. I've done this and it still does not work.
Are there any particular security settings I should be allowing on either device ?
Cheers
Hey,
I created a backup using Samsung Smart Switch for my Galaxy note 4 (SM-N910F), which went perfectly fine. Then I went ahead and installed CM 12.1S on said phone. Everything is still fine. However, when trying to reconnect my phone with the Smart Switch on my PC in order to restore the backup, the program says something like:
"Non-compatible device"
"The connected device is not supported by Smart Switch"
Now my questions would be:
a) Is there a trick I can use to make Smart Switch connect to my phone again?
b)Is there a different program I can use that is able to restore the backup that Smart Switch created?
Thank you for any suggestions.
This tablet has sms send-receive feature, this has a meaning as could make phone calls by sim card, but there is not caller menu. How to install Galaxy Tab A6 SM-T285 rom, to use phone feature to have caller menu same like A6 SM-T285.
I tried to install A6 SM-T285 rom via download mode to the device but failed. Actually If I could root A6 SM-T287, I think I can install A6 SM-T285 rom, and this will activate phone feature. But I couldn't find A6 SM-T287 root. and root with A6 SM-T285 failed also.
Hi Folks,
I have a rooted Tab S2 SM-T715Y and recently updated to Nougat. I am looking to get advice on build.prop changes that will allow me to install Gear Manager to allow my Gear S3 to connect to my Tablet.
Previously when running Marshmallow I had changed the build.prop ro.build.characteristics from "tablet" to "phone" and the ro.product.model from "SM-T715Y" to "SMN900P" however when I make these changes now and reboot the device just stays on the Samsung splash screen and will not boot. I have to re-flash Nougat update to get it to work.
The original ro.build.characteristics on Nougat is listed as "tablet, emulator" which seems odd.
Any help with this would be appreciated.
thanks
