Had the phone for a couple of days and just noticed wireless charging doesn't work. Standard QI charger that works with other phones. Tried with battery share both on and off. I installed the newest update when I got the phone and reset straight away to start fresh. Also tried rebooting now. Still doesn't work.
Any ideas?
I find mine very picky about charging wirelessly. It improved after the last update but it still requires careful alignment and doesn't work with every wireless charger I have, ir particularly doesn't like the wireless charging in the car.

I've been using wireless charging at home and work for over a month and love it. But it stopped working a few days ago, and the device no longer detected when placed on a wireless charger. Then it worked sporadically for a day, and now it's dead again. Any suggestions or diagnostics I can run to figure out if it is a hardware or software issue? TIA
Sorry to ask ... but it could be the charger itself ?
I have a cheapo charger and it can act up sometimes. Luckily, it has a LED ... if the light stays on after I remove the phone then I
will need to reset the charger (or it won't charge the phone next time).
I don't think it is the chargers, since the phone started failing on both at the same time and the Nexus 7 still charges fine on the one I have at home. I wonder if there is a software setting to turn wireless charging on/off or something?
I think that the problem may have been static for some reason. I have found that rubbing the back of the phone with a cloth (my shirt) before putting it on the wireless charger gets it to work. This holds true with or without bumper case on the phone, and works for my home and office chargers. Strange.
Back in Feb I started having an issue with charging up my phone, went through several cables and adapters. Eventually using a cable was out of the question as the phone wouldn't recognize that a cable was even plugged in. Initially, I would have to fiddle with the plug some to get it work, then that stopped. Eventually I took the route of buying a wireless charger instead of waiting for parts from China. That worked for a little over a month and a half. Then it would stop charging and give me the red light of death. I would eventually be able to get it charge, but at a slow pace. I first tried with the battery, replaced it and of course it would only recharge via wireless. That worked for about 3 weeks and the problems started happening all over again. I finally got my charging board and a new battery (again just to be sure) in from China. Installed both and made sure all connections were good. In the beginning it would take a charge from a usb cable, if the phone was flat and then that stopped. If you tried to connect it to a computer, it would read "Device is requesting too much power." Wireless worked again so I went with that. Now, the phone is going back to having issues with charging in general. I refuse to give up on the phone, but I feel like I'm running out of options here. I'm running the latest PA 4.4.4 build.
Any suggestions?
I have a curious bug and I was wondering if anyone else has the same thing...
I have an after market charging pad and receiver. They've worked well for months.
I had to replace my Note 3 last week, so I have a "new" one. Stock 5.0 ROM.
It charges just fine, but when I take it off the wireless charger the LED is still red and the phone indicates it's still charging (even though it's not). Only a reboot will clear the charging indicator. If I plug in a USB cord, it tells me it's switching to the plug then when I unplug it, it tells me it's switching back to wireless (even though it's not on the mat).
Plenty online about the indicator NOT coming on, and wireless charging not working but I couldn't see any reference to this particular problem. Thanks for you input!
Has there been anyone else experiencing an issue with the wireless charger since the last security update.
Now instead of charging the phone like it did before, it just holds it at the level it is at.
Anyone know why this is happening now, and how to fix so it charges?
Thanks.
You have gone to the menu item fast wireless charging?

Hey, do the downgrade to PE1 with full wip, and put 100%, your working fast charging. Good luck. To me it helped.
I'm on PH7 and wireless charging works fine for me.
Wireless charging has never been an issue for me with any update. Might be purely coincidental, but you can also try a factory reset incase a setting or system file got skewed.
Have you checked the charger with another phone, or another charger with your Edge. It's possible the charger coincidentally failed at the same time.
My USB fast charging doesn't work. Wireless charging works faster than USB with different fast chargers. I have tried 6 of them and still not getting fast USB charging anymore. It is checked to fast charge also. All happened after the PJ3 update.,
Have you tried different cables, too? If the original charger and cable don't fast charge your phone, it's probably time for warranty service.
For the past few months I have had wireless charging issues on my Pixel 4. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. I have tried different QI chargers as well as my Pixel Stand. You can put the phone on the stand and it may or may not recognize the phone. If it does it will kick off the Pixel Stand setup program, but during setup will tell you that you need to place the phone on the stand. On a QI wireless charger it may start charging and then quit after a few minutes, or not recognize the phone at first and start charging a few minutes later, only to stop a short time later. Wired charging works fine at all times.
I bought the phone new 1.5 years ago and all worked fine up until April. I have reset the phone to factory and the issue persists.
Anyone have a similar experience or any suggestions on how to fix? Googles suggestion is to send it in for repair or trade it in.
