Windows 10 PC wont recognize Samsung Galaxy S8 after TWRP wipe - Samsung Galaxy S8 Questions and Answers

I recently installed TWRP onto my Samsung Galaxy S8 and wiped everything off of the phone, I now can't connect it to my PC to use ODIN and reinstall the stock ROM for the phone. I have the correct drivers installed and have tried using both Smart Switch and the downloadable driver exe.
Things I have tried:
Three different computers
Different USB ports and types
Different USB cables for the phone
Uninstalling and reinstalling drivers
Installing different custom ROMS onto the phone
When I connect my phone I just get the Windows could not recognize this device error and everything I can find online just tells me to enable USB Debugging and installing the latest Samsung Drivers which I have tried. My phone doesn't even recognize that I am plugging it into a computer.
I have looked at other threads on this forum but I don't think they match the exact issue I am having with the device.
Any help would be greatly appreciated as I can't figure out why this would be happening and I doubt its a coincidence that the charging port got damaged right after I wiped the phone.

MTP Device Installation Error

Hello
For the past week, I have been having a MTP driver error. I have tried using using kies but the same thing happens. I've been able to connect and install the MTP driver successfully before but now it doesn't seem to work. I looked into regedit.exe for Upperfilters but I couldn't find it. I also tried updating my Windows Media Player but it is already updated. I am currently using the GOLDENEYE 2.0 rom by iB4STiD. I have looked up everywhere and tried mostly every possible solution - if there are anymore - and still no sign of fixing this driver problem. From reinstalling windows to reinstalling drivers, still no go. I've tried USB debugging on and off but the same result for the past 10000000000times. I am willing to try new solutions if there are any. My phone is a Samsung Galaxy S4 SGH - i337. I appreciate any help that would be provided to fix this MTP driver error. Thanks

Have you tried the rear USB ports on your computer? Mine occasionally fails with both my S4 (Any rom) and my Galaxy Tab 2 if I use the front ports on the computer. Additionally, stupid question but have you tried restarting both the phone and the computer? Does it connect and work on another computer?
Also: Do you have a SD card in your phone? Sometimes if a SD card was having filesystem issues and I tried to plug it in to my PC, I would get random errors in device manager for MTP devices. Took the card out it would work. Formatted card and put back in, would work fine. (MTP service on the phone freaked out and crashed when it tried to read corrupt SD card).
I finally fix it by restoring back to factory stock http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2261573 . My cables and usb ports were fine, I guess it was just a corrupted rom. Thanks anyways
thanks guys. your posts helped me to fix

ODIN won't detect Samsung Galaxy S4

I installed Cyanogenmod using the installer a few months ago and decided to use TouchWiz instead now. I did a factory reset and downloaded the latest firmware for my device. I also entered download mode. When I connect the device to my PC, there are 3 fast tones instead of the usual 2 tones you hear when connecting a USB device. Sometimes, there is an error popup that says that the driver software wasn't installed.
I tried using different USB ports and different cables. I also downloaded drivers for my phone and restarted my PC. What can I do to install the samsung firmware on my device?

odin does not recognize phone in download mode

i am not new to flashing samsung or android phones. I am new to using mac. I have tried odin v3.07-v3.10 and nothing recognizes my phone, I have installed and unistalled and reinstalled all drivers, tried all four of my usb ports, 4 different usb cords including a usb 3.0 cord from my samsung harddrive. all I am trying to do is flash cwm. I have samsung kies and android file transfer and both recognize my phone when it is powered on normally and plugged in in all usb ports with all cords. am I missing something? Is there some secret to download mode on this note3? (if there are multiple posts about this I appologize but from the ones ive checked things like usb cord swapping fixes most of these issues) I have the cwm file ready to go and am familiar with odin as I have been using it for a few years on and off, I have never had this issue and am just dumbfounded

PC won't detect S7, all conventional fixes exhausted!!

I've got 5 S7s on my desk, all Canadian variant, all from the same manufacturer all the same model. - SM-G930W8
All are recognised by my PC but one and I can't work out why not!
Plugging the phone into the PC makes no noise from the PC but the phone seems to detect a regular charger not a PC.
I have plugged it in using different cables including the one in its box and the ones used on other devices that were recognised and only this phone doesn't work with any of them.
I have plugged in, unplugged and rebooted many times.
I have set the USB configuration to MTP (Media Transfer Protocol)/Transferring files.
USB Debugging is ON and OEM unlocking is ON.
I have tried booting into stock recovery and wiping cache AND factory resetting.
When phone is turned on "adb devices" returns nothing.
I have installed Samsung Kies and Samsung Smart Switch to reinstall the drivers.
NOTHING IS WORKING!
All threads I find tell me to do the things I have listed above and have people saying these have worked but all of them I had already tried and double tried and nothing is working.
The cables are correct and working with other S7s of the same model.
All the correct drivers are installed and have been uninstalled and reinstalled.
All the correct setting are selected and OEM unlock and USB debugging enabled.
Phone was fresh out the box as were the other four and all cables.
Samsungs apps installed on PC to ensure best drivers installed.
Would really appreciate some guidance or consolation that its not something stupid I'm doing! I work with these phones everyday and this has never happened! Just banging my head against a brick wall trying to resolve it
maybe faulty usb port, my nephew had S6 with the same issue, service replaced usb port and it started
to work with PC.
try download mode and see if odin see your phone.
try to move the cable a lil bit and see if sth appears for a second.

Thanks but unfortunately Odin doesn't recognise in download mode.
Could it be a USB port problem if I used the same port for the other 4 devices and have no issue?
I'm considering sending the phone back to manufacturer to be honest I think it may just be a faulty device or something!
I bet its microusb port fault
Had a similar issue on Windows 10 , if that's what your running let the phone be connected, uninstall the driver from device manager, and then install driver select have disk and select the basic mtp , if this doesn't help connect to Microsoft support and they'll guide you through it , worked for me , my phone used to detect on other laptops but mine , also I could connect other phones on mine but not my phone, hope this helps
same issue here

USB Device not recognized

Good afternoon,
I am trying to root my Galaxy s7 edge: G935F or my Galaxy tab A 2016: T580 with odin, but both aren't being recognized by my Windows 10 computer. They do charge but don't seem to recognize my computer either. However my computer does recognize my Galaxy s5 neo and my Galaxy A5 2017. I've searched a lot and tried everything i found.
Which involves:
Different computers, ports, cables; and I consistantly get te same error.
Original cable
manualy install drivers, removing all usb drivers and reboot computer.
factory reset
Enabling developer options, usb debugging and usb configuration is set to Media Transfer Protocol.
I switched off selective usb interruption in my computers power management and dissabled quick boot.
Are there other things I could try, to make the computer recognize my S7 edge or Tab 2016. The only thing I could find, is that the ports of the devices itself are broken. Since both devices behave and charge normally I doubt this really is the case.
Since my main goal is to get one of the two rooted, maybe someone knows a way to do this without the use of a usb connection. I geuss one-click root methods don't work on these devices and I wasn't able to find something trough micro sd or a wireless option.
Thank you in advance

Hi there, installation of samsung usb drivers is easy. Please remove existing installation files on pc and install from provided link while the device connected to the pc during install and good internet. You should have no problem. I've done it on several machines

Thanks for your response. I've already tried that several times. Just to be totaly sure i've tried it again with the link you've provided and sadly it didn't work. The thing is that the samsung a5 2017 and the samsung s5 neo, do connect. But the samsung s7 edge doesn't. Not even on a different computer, with Win 7. Just now I did a factory reset, again. And also tried to boot in safe mode. But it just doesn't work. Do you have other idea's?

It's not your computer obviously. Maybe the cable port on the s7e is broken or something. Or the drivers aren't getting properly installed on the machine. The com port used by odin doesn't require drivers to be installed separately for each device. So if other devices get recognized by Odin, it clearly means that your s7e requires some hardware replacement. You may try connecting another device of the same model
I have the same problem before. My s7 doesnt work fast charge and pc dont recognize and my phone charging 6 hours. Windows gives yellow error and doesnt recognize my phone. I try different cable and pc but doesnt work. I change my motherboard and it works
