Access to a local html file - Samsung Galaxy S10+ Questions & Answers

I just updated my phone to the last software.
I am using a local html file with all my bookmarks as home page in Samsung Explorer. Since the update , I can't access anymore my
local html file. I am receiving an error message: " access to the file was denied".
Of course it worked before the update.
Any ideas how to resolve this?
Thank you,
Daniel

cannot open attachment/manage files

Hi,
i have been using an elf (Stock rom) for a year now and had no serious problem so far. however, lately it's been acting quite strangely:
1. it refuses to open attachments (jpeg, tiff, pdf you name it) in the outlook, a security warning keeps popping up, saying that the file is not recognizeable and post security msg.
error msg:
the attachment is of a file type that could be unsafe. messaging will not open this attachment.
2. i cannot manage (rename/delete/cut) any files fm the explorer because it thinks the file is in use/write protected.
error msg:
cannot rename : `file name`: access is denied. be certain that the file is not write-protected and is not currently in use.
btw, i already made sure that the file was not in use (as for write protect, had no idea how to do that in the first place)
pls note that i have not added any new software/modified the system file recently.
has anyone came across this kind of proble before? and pls adv your suggestions (aside fm hard reset...ouch).
Thanks/luke

[Q] mail attachment download location?

I am using the stock email client that came on the N7 and I would like to access downloaded attachments outside the mail system. Searches with ES file explorer turns up nothing. Where do these files go?
TIA, John.
I don't use the generic email app, but in gmail downloaded attachments are in /sdcard/download. I use root explorer to navigate there and can access the downloads.
Edit: corrected d/l location.

I think if you have the latest JellyBean 4.2 operating system they will end up in /storage/sdcard0/Download
Thanks. I must have had finger trouble. Under Jellybean 4.2.2 they are put in /sdcard/download.

Can`t access memory

Hello Guys,
i have an issue with my Nexus 7 Tilapia. I`ve downloaded a Marshmallow Rom and everythings seems to be good.
But If i want to download something in Chrome, it says that the file cant be downloaded because of an missing sd-card. First I thought that it was an issue by Chrome but if i tried to download the same file with the dolphin browser, it seems to work but trying to open the file it gives the message that the file cant be opened.
So i think its an issue with the memory access, because the fx file explorer says, if i try to open the download folder, that the access was denied.
I hope that someone has an idea to solve my problem, because i need it quickly for university
Thanks a lot.

In Chrome access to the file was denied

Hi,
I just updated my phone to the last software.
I am using a local html file with all my bookmarks as home page in Google Chrome. Since the update , I can't access anymore my
local file. I am receiving an error message: " access to the file was denied".
Of course it worked before the update and it still works with Samsung Explorer.
I have given in Chrome all the required permissions but it doesn't help.
Any ideas how to resolve this?
Thank you,
Daniel

Is there any way to catch OTA update download file or URL while my phone download it

Hi,
There are about 13 OTA updates waiting for my phone and I wonder how to get these update files itself or at least their URL addresses from my phone. Samsung S8
There is a way explained on internet in so many websites, adb logcat, but I don't see anything regarding the address of the update file in the log file.
I can see the folder name where OTA update file will be saved in the Log File, but I think I would need root access to reach that folder, and that wouldn't be good to repeat for each download.
Thanks
no one ?
You will need a windows pc and Fiddler application.
Install Fiddler, get your local ip address, edit your phone wifi connection, jnsert ip in proxy address line, and start Fiddler.
Fiddler will show you links to samsung update center and download these files.
Sorry for my bad english.
