Phone hangs up - Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 Questions & Answers

During telephone calls, I often have untimely hang-ups, or presses on the keys deactivating the microphone, etc ... probably due to touches of the ear, cheek, beard.
I searched on screen sensitivity, but nothing concrete. Does anyone know of a phone app that overrides most commands, or sets key access, or whatever?
Thank you for your advice

Disabling the touch screen while ringing?

Hi!
Is there a way to disable the touch screen when I get an incoming call? I find that I'm so clumsy that I always end up touching something by accident, either accepting a call or denying a call while I'm pulling it out of my pocket.
Edit: By that I mean, just while it's ringing, so that the touchscreen functions normally once you're in a call.
Thanks,
Tiny

Touch screen still active while backlight is off during calls

I cant be the only one with a milestone who is frustrated by this. When I am in a call my ear touches the screen and it keeps pressing the hold button even when the screen is off. If I have the dial pad open I hear beeeeeeep so I have to remember to close the dial pad before putting the phone up to my ear. It seems the phones touch screen is still working when the phone turns off the screen when it detects my head.
Is there a fix for this? I am willing to go as far as removing the hold feature from the phone because I never even use it. This just makes the call quality on this phone even worse because not only am I putting people on hold all the time but the microphone cancels out my own voice all the time so nobody can understand what I am saying! Its a shame that I cant use this phone as a phone...this will definitely be my last motorola phone.

while on a call random programs open up

how do i stop this? i'd like the phone to automatically lock or something to prevent this from happening. it appears that first, the screen with all of your apps opens, then my cheek or whatever hits a program. any ideas? thanks
Does this happen when you make a call, or when a call comes in?
If you phone is locked and you get an incoming call, after you answer it remains locked except for the calling options (i.e end call, flash, etc.) but I'm not too sure if you dial out though but ive never had this problem...
this happenes to me too. my cheek will hit the screen and either open things or call someone else while on the phone. It is annoying.
This really should not happen, as the device has a proximity sensor that should turn off the screen when the device is held up to your face. If you make a call with the phone held in your hand and you cover up the top of the phone, say the top 2 inches, with your other hand, does the screen blank? It should. If not, the proximity sensor may be bad and a replacement is in order.

HD2 in-call lock needed (capacitive screen is too sensitive)

I've been using my HD2 since its release, so i can tell you i've gotten used to all sorts of habits in order to prevent accidental "touches" with either my cheek or my pocket when using a BT headset.
Yet, i still get them. Very often i manually lock the phone during calls, but not always.
I've tried smartlock to lock the phone automatically during calls. It works to some extent, but not always. The phone unlocks twice during call from BT headset, when dialing and when connected. Smartlock will very often fail to lock the phone the second time, locking incoming calls doesn't always work either (i'm guessing it's conflicting with the proximity sensor). Plus since the lock screen during calls is different, a slight rub in the middle of the screen will unlock it (no need to slide anything).
This issue was so bad that i found a way to override the in-call lockscreen with the regular slide-to-unlock lockscreen.
Anyway, after all these months i realized that the only times i completly trust my phone during calls is when i'm holding it in my hand or it's laying on the table while i talk.
I'm posting this to check if any of you found better solutions to this problem than what i mentioned.
Cheers
depending on the rom you are on, try using two fingers to tap the caller id pic, it locks the screen on later roms, then hard key to unlock.(but not end key, cos that still hangs up)

My phone screen won’t turn off when on a call help

I don’t know if I installed an update or I changed the settings but I need help. I’ve noticed my phone screen won’t turn off when I’m on a call talking to someone. Because of this it picks up touches from my ear or cheek etc. it’s randomly pressing buttons and menus etc. is there an option I can change somewhere for this?
