I would like to start this forum on Eincar Radios. I found the user manual and support poor and would like to contribute my findings and ask for help in areas where I'm stuck. Also based on my experience I find the carjoying support much better and would rather recommend people to look into this brand if they interested in android car radios

Open Questions I have
1.) Is Eincar the actual vendor/manufacturer of these radios?
2.) Can I upgrade this unit from Android 5.1 Lollipop to Android 6 Marshmallow?
3.) Where do I find firmware for this radio
4.) Youtube is not working and blurry with video display how do I fix this?
5.) My Huawei E3531 router does not work with the radio how do I fix this?
6.) How do I go into recovery/download mode?

I believe I have the same unit as you. The passwords and types of errors you listed are the same as mine. The MCU version matches as well. If you find anything else out let me know!

Are you sure this post belongs in MTCB - what details do you have to confirm the unit is an MTC*B*

Youre in the wrong section - you dont have an MTCB unit.

Have you found out how to enter recovery mode I have an older version eincar double din that won't get past boot screen i have the software on it but I can't get the damn thing to boot I ended up buying a newer version running 6.0 but right now I have a radio that i know can be fixed I plugged it into my computer through a double sided usb cord my computer reads it but u can't get it to run

why you cant pass the bootscreen? did you try to change it to a personalized one and messed the bootscreen?
if thats the case, with the car/ignition off, connect a wire from the red positive 12v to the wire that says reverse. turn ignition on, wait 30 seconds and remove the wire. this will make the radio boot in rear camera mode and bypass the bootscreen.

Ya so I just tried the reverse wire to the red wire it kicks into reverse but still doesn't so anything it's sitting at the android screen I tried to root the damn thing but Idk what happened

Hi Guys, i have same double din radio and always after start my radio is start 87.50 MHz . All wire is connect proper when radio is start keep all saved station and start whit my custom logo that's mean the problem is not in power. Can you guys help me to setup radio to start normal or to change startup app like home screen not radio automatic. Thanks

Need help with chinese android head unit

I purchased a chinese head unit the other day with the Allwinner R16 A9 Cortex single din head unit currently I cant post links but I will add one later or pictures the best I can I have the model number

Not paying attention I downloaded and flashed the wrong file i thought I chose single din file but instead got the file for double din radio an now my screen shows nothing bu lines through it although everything else works fine radio and music apps i just cant see the screen or what I am selecting I have been looking for the stock/original flash files for this radio without any luck hoping i can recover it with a bootable disk option of some sort to reflash it any help would be much appreciated currently stuck with a very expensive brick

I believe 2din vs 1din does not make any difference in terms of ROM version, screen resolution does. Is there a chance you've downloaded wrong resolution ROM? If so, just download yours and reflash.

Long story short the file i ended up flashing i got off the russian forums because thats the only place i could find files for my specific unit but i didn't read the small print at the bottom that had files linked somewhere else and i wasnt suppose to do a certain update because it makes the screen stop working an I was originally trying to fix the battery threshold level to keep unit from restarting from acc to on position it took the update fine just when it restarted the unit the screen hasnt worked since so I've been trying to find a way to either make a auto update recovery disk of some sort or connect a pc to it through adb or something an anither thing to note is i have no back up or anything of my unit an its been a pain trying to find one i messaged the original seller to see if they could help me out an send me the stock files

The information on the unit comes back as a Allwinner T3-P3 single din 7 inch touch screen unit with android 6.0 R 16 A9 cortex processor the manufacturer goes by Hizpo

No, but I still have the unit and to be honest they sent me another one and it still work i suppose i got break it out and get my tools out and dive in getting my hands dirty and try to extract the firmware file myself from the unit

Rockchip PX6 with MCU STM32

Hello guys i just got this unit a month ago rk3399 px6 android 9, 4gb + 64gb with ips display. I realize this unit is quite hot after 15-30 minutes of running music or video. After looking at other people installing heatsink & fan, i start buying the tools i need ( drill, mini grinder, 4cm usb fan (i choose usb because i can unplug when i dont want to use it by opening my drawer), heatsink ( not yet arrive), and super glue.
I just finish install the fan and i was happy with the result. Before installing the fan the temperature is around 42-78 C and after installing the fan the temperature is around 32-52 C.
The hardest part is making a hole in this project
The only problem i find in this unit is the brightness, i have set it to the lowest number but at night it still too bright and hurt my eyes. If any of you have solution please share.
You guys can share knowledge in this thread about STM32.

thanx for the reply I did it a couple of times but still nothing. I think maybe the device lost its factory settings. how do I enter the factory settings menu on this device? And where can I get the firmware for this device as well. Will you be able to make a dump of the software for me from your unit maybe it can work after reinstallation.

i did contact banggood thats where l bought it, the seller does not have the firmware. dont know how that could be possible

Since they are reseller, ask them to contact seller in china who help them selling the unit. Maybe they will help.

Sorry, i use spotify and music, dont know much bout the radio.
I dont think this unit can be root. Since no one support/help modified the firmware or software.

This unit seems good to me. It is new so there are not firmware and mods but we need some a modder that looking to it. For firmware I think bangood is only a restseller would find the product or.

Do you have ? How is working?
Personally I have bought two week ago and am using it from a week and is better than the px5 unit that I have to another car.

If it's sound and tuner, are you sure that is a firmware problem and it is not hardware ? I suggest a return for warranty of unit is new.

I have a 'blue aluminum' PX6 with STM32 arrived some days ago. From outside it looks just fine however when I started to test it thoroughly it was proved to be disappointing.
I attach software detail in a screenshot.
From software/OS point of view my unit is very unsophisticated.
- OS has been customized by the manufacturer, almost nothing like android 9 on a phone.
- 'Radio' is a startup app and cannot turn it off, very annoying for me.
- 'Settings' app is very customized with limited functionality, really basic.
- The system does some iteration of boot cycle sometimes, I have not yet figured out what is the trigger.
Personally, I would install a custom ROM such as for MTCD/MTCE variants as soon as I have it, sadly no ROM for STM32 variant yet.
I am very sad that such a "modern" hardware has such poor software.

I am also unskilled to extract the ROM from my unit (STM32).
I have seen a post on rooting this STM32 variant, you can try that.

I have mine rooted... No problems with the firmware... Never got any errors or anything... Maybe I was lucky and they sent me one which was made with attention

Uhmm... I just installed supersu and copied all files needed for root in their places... Reboot, Then busybox and there I have the root...

Hello Cruizertz, I have the same device but 1g/16g
In the radio app can you save the stations and not delete them when you turn on the device again? This happened to me when the seller sent me a firmware to solve another problem and now it doesn't give me a solution and I don't know how to get everything right again since I didn't make a backup copy.

First unzip the folder, and just copy the Update folder (inside there are more folders, don't touch). Second, put the Update folder on a flash drive and insert it into the USB² (you have two USB ports on the headunit, must be with the number USB².
Third: the system asks you if you want to update, you must give OK or wait 5 seconds. The copy of the files will begin, do not touch anything, and you will see how the lights blink
Fourth: do not touch anything, when the update is done the unit will turn off, and when it turns on again the lights will continue to flash, and after about 30 to 60 seconds it will start updating again. Never remove the flash drive or touch anything until the message appears at the bottom indicating that the update has finished.
When you're done, tap ok. Everything has been deleted from the headunit, and you must reinstall everything you had before.
Important: if you had the Apps from a vendor, such as Podofo or Jancar, they are deleted. If you had any map App too, but if you need Here Maps tell me.

It's very easy, you will see. I forgot to tell you that is the last update at the moment, from 14.10.2022 or 10.14.2022 in English, I think

Thank you very much for your help meidland. I was able to search for a moment and have installed it and everything is working perfectly. It has corrected a problem that I had with the radio app, after a firmware that the seller had sent me to correct something else and then did not want to know anything. That's why I thank you, for helping me.

Hi, after I update with the update from 10/14/22 was not a good update and I report to Factory and the said is better the update from 07/08/22 , I tried and is the best at the moment.

I have the same unit 1gb 16gb my firmware has corrupted. Kindly help post a link where i can download and reinstall?
