Need help with chinese android head unit - Android Head-Units

I purchased a chinese head unit the other day with the Allwinner R16 A9 Cortex single din head unit currently I cant post links but I will add one later or pictures the best I can I have the model number

Not paying attention I downloaded and flashed the wrong file i thought I chose single din file but instead got the file for double din radio an now my screen shows nothing bu lines through it although everything else works fine radio and music apps i just cant see the screen or what I am selecting I have been looking for the stock/original flash files for this radio without any luck hoping i can recover it with a bootable disk option of some sort to reflash it any help would be much appreciated currently stuck with a very expensive brick

I believe 2din vs 1din does not make any difference in terms of ROM version, screen resolution does. Is there a chance you've downloaded wrong resolution ROM? If so, just download yours and reflash.

Long story short the file i ended up flashing i got off the russian forums because thats the only place i could find files for my specific unit but i didn't read the small print at the bottom that had files linked somewhere else and i wasnt suppose to do a certain update because it makes the screen stop working an I was originally trying to fix the battery threshold level to keep unit from restarting from acc to on position it took the update fine just when it restarted the unit the screen hasnt worked since so I've been trying to find a way to either make a auto update recovery disk of some sort or connect a pc to it through adb or something an anither thing to note is i have no back up or anything of my unit an its been a pain trying to find one i messaged the original seller to see if they could help me out an send me the stock files

The information on the unit comes back as a Allwinner T3-P3 single din 7 inch touch screen unit with android 6.0 R 16 A9 cortex processor the manufacturer goes by Hizpo

No, but I still have the unit and to be honest they sent me another one and it still work i suppose i got break it out and get my tools out and dive in getting my hands dirty and try to extract the firmware file myself from the unit

Hey guys, I am really unsure where to ask or even if this is the forum to go to, but I've came across a few of these Chinese headunits online and they seem to be priced so well that I'd like to play around with it.
Example,

This is a 7" double din unit that I'd like to see if it's possible to install some other kind of operating system other then what's preloaded on this.

Does anybody know if it's possible to load up a different OS/Android onto these units? This one specifically is sold as Model 7018B

It's definitely not running Android. Might be a WINCE unit, or proprietary. I very highly doubt you can load anything else onto it. If you do want an Android radio you have to be sure to search for "pure android car radio". Also suggest not getting a AN21-U unit and try for the units with a RK3188 processor and look over to the unit with the MTCB MCU. http://forum.xda-developers.com/android-auto/mtcb-android-head-unit-general

You need to open unit. There is board number written inside.
You need firmware for board version, not for the model. I installed firmware from gearbest and it bricked my unit (it was listed for model 7018b).
After few days searching i found out on other website about that.
It will be like this:
Model: 7018B
Board: 7022B-C500-V0.1
and then you can find firmware. Also you cant flash firmware through sdcard as there is no working firmware for that model.
You need to use CH431 programmer and flash directly eeprom chip.

I have a strange problem with this device.
All other phones got connected via bluetooth and play music fine.
Only Oneplus 7T when connected
music stutters.

I have purchased a 7018B , 2GB , 16GB internal storage. It came with Oreo 8.1 installed and works great with Sygic GPS as well as Google Maps & Waze. I have also installed VLC for music playback. Hi, unfortunately I bought from bangood and I have not the firmware. I am looking for it too. I would like to root also.
If it's sound and tuner, are you sure that is a firmware problem and it is not hardware ? I suggest a return for warranty of unit is new.

			
				
Hi everyone! :fingers-crossed:
I have a 'blue aluminum' PX6 with STM32 arrived some days ago. From outside it looks just fine however when I started to test it thoroughly it was proved to be disappointing.
I attach software detail in a screenshot.
From software/OS point of view my unit is very unsophisticated.
- OS has been customized by the manufacturer, almost nothing like android 9 on a phone.
- 'Radio' is a startup app and cannot turn it off, very annoying for me.
- 'Settings' app is very customized with limited functionality, really basic.
- The system does some iteration of boot cycle sometimes, I have not yet figured out what is the trigger.
Personally, I would install a custom ROM such as for MTCD/MTCE variants as soon as I have it, sadly no ROM for STM32 variant yet.
I am very sad that such a "modern" hardware has such poor software.

Hey,
I am also unskilled to extract the ROM from my unit (STM32).
I have seen a post on rooting this STM32 variant, you can try that.

Settings and Last one android Upgrade. So Head Unit reboot to recovery and there I choose the zip. No 1x time wipe and factory reset before thats it

I bought this 6 months ago. First month usage then the sound is gone. Send back to the local seller in Malaysia. After the repair my unit have the sound but it gone crazy by random frequent reboot. When I asked for the firmware from the seller he simply refuse to give me. I really like this unit with android 9 and the built-in 4G capability. Tried looking for the stock firmware or any root or mod for it but with no avail. Any help would be really appreciated.

It says Android 10 like the firmware you have now...
But it’s fake it’s Android 9 look at api Level ..
New firmware also says android 10 but same api level like before.
But better perfomance and sound since this update

This chipset have 3G capability only right? Because the sim signal icon on my unit sometimes shows 4G.
Downloading the firmware now but failed once. The speed is around 50-200kbps but always at the lowest speed that is below 100kbps....phew.

Are you updating with the firmware given by balkanera? Are you sure it is not working? I just finished download the fw that I left downloaded overnight. I feel unsure to update the fw now....gosh.

I can send the firmware I'm running to you, but no idea if it will run, it might brick your unit.
It works quite fine, but there's 2 problems:
1. Sometimes GPS is slow to fix.
2. On incoming calls it takes up to 10 seconds to start incoming voice, while outgoing voice starts immediately.

Hi again
Managed to source the correct firmware from the russian forums.
The only issue I have is that the gain settings revert back to 0 when saving the config. I am trying to increase the bluetooth/usb volumes but it does not save the changes.
Anyone have a fix for this?

Hello , I also purchased the same.. with 1Gb ram. Is there any way to increase the RAM externally? I mean like using a class 10 memory card? Maybe its a dumb idea as I'm not a techie. I wanted to increase the RAm because Waze is not fluid smooth in the device. Thanks in advance

I recently bought a unit for a BMW e60 CCC
XONRICH 6GB 128GB Android 11 Car Radio For BMW 5Series E60 E61 E63 E64 E90 E91 E92 E93 CCC CIC Multimedia CarPlay GPS Navigation
I'm asking for help in finding the firmware for it, best with android auto wiralles and carplay.
Maybe someone has a Junsun firmware that fits this unit.

Hello, I'm having a problem with the same ****. I bought a car audio company in Lodz because I was afraid of the Chinese and it was a mistake! I described this problem here in the forum in another topic. Generally, I need a batch file because I inserted a flash drive and he told me to format it so I did and then he asked if the flash drive should be shared memory and I accidentally pressed ok and all system files were irreversibly copied to the flash drive. The liar who installed me says it's my fault and there's nothing he can do about it because it's irreversible. I used it maybe two months and it's still under warranty but you can't get along with this idiot to help. The device resets while driving and generally goes dumb. I got angry and took it out and installed it in another Comfortmedia company but that one is lying and I would like to fix it and sell it. Please help, it's a shame to lose so much money.
