I seen the recommendation is to turn USB debugging and OEM lock off under developer options to play fortnite on our device with magisk. What I was wondering is with my bootloader unlocked, which it is, I can uncheck OEM lock, but would it be okay after a reboot? I just didn't want to uncheck it, and then get stuck or not be able to boot. I was curious if someone might have tried already. Thx
By the way for anyone wanting to know, I turned OEM unlock off w/ a unlocked bootloader & device successfully booted up with switch still in off position.

Hey guys, I upgraded from C432B200 to C432B560 and I just realized FRP is now locked in bootloader. I've tried turning off 'OEM unlocking' in settings but it is greyed out. Anyone have any idea on how to go around this without using DC-Phoenix?
Same problem here too....
here to , and system does not booting
Go back to 4 or 4.1 and keep FRP lock open, unlock bootloader, flash Nougat, do not factory reset or reset developer options. Then click USB debugging and flash TWRP.....
great, that works like described!
45 minutes work including downloads

i just got my v20 today, trying to root it.... noticing that the enable oem unlock button under developer mode is greyed out, and can't activate it...
how can i fix this? factory reset didn't work, I'm on a mac ( but have installed parallels with windows ) any suggestions?
also i was told the phone's bootloader is already unlocked
So I've been trying to install the TWRP on this device but the OEM Unlock kept on blocking it. the OEM unlock is "On". There's no option to turn it off in developer options because it is a Demo unit but it is an Exynos one. I've been searching on how, but the internet only shows the released variants not the demo unit... i want to change the phone to G950FD so that I can use it as a normal phone but without a sim.
Hello there, probably this is one of the stupid questions that you will read so I am sorry.
I got this phone in state of BLOD, checked and found out that I need the device unlocked so I decided freezing will do that job after reading the infamous guide on this page. Took it out and woila, it turns on now. I happily go to settings, enable developer options, and enable OEM unlock and USB debugging, happily restarted my phone and it's still locked. after dancing around for some time trying to find a way to unlock it, I decided to flash official os (android 8) through recovery mode ADB. Now I can't even boot by putting it into a freezer and when I try to flash an other version like android 6, it says that it's meant for "Angler" and my device is "", yeah "" it's empty.
Do I put this device in a wall I am building?

Not an expert but what you had to do was oem unlock and then usb debugging, after that connect the device and give ADB the permission so it installs adb interface driver. After that, reboot to bootloader open adb and try to unlock. It wouldn't be possible so, you manually install the google driver so it installs the bootloader interface, after that do the fastboot unlocking
I have the option in developer mode enable to allow bootloader unlocking, when I type 'fastboot oem unlock' I get a screen asking me if I want to unlock the bootloader but when I select yes, nothing happens. I tried using the official site (https://en-us.support.motorola.com/app/standalone/bootloader/unlock-your-device-b) but it says my device is not available to be unlocked even though I have the option enabled.
Can anyone help me?
Motorola doesn't allow carrier varients to have unlocked bootloaders, so you need to find another way. I have the same model and I can't figure out how to unlock the bootloader
