From there you can see how much battery each app takes. Use best after a few hours of battery usage. For more info click each app.

How do you guys can get so much free RAM?
I suppose it is possible only with swap? Or with absolutely fresh installation of ROM with almost no applications?
Most of the time I have between 30-45 MB free RAM and I do not use swap and have a lot of applications, few widgets...

after save, this app create one file in your sdcard "swap.swp" its 200MB size
i am feeling a bit different from my x8,, its quite fast..
but i still dont understand how it works

That 200mb is "virtual ram"...it means your phone uses that allocated 200mb to increase the amount of ram your phone can have...but be warned, increasing the SWAP size will shorten your SD Card's lifespan...200mb should be ok...don't go overboard like I did and put 1000mb(1GB) ....but if you already enabled compache in CyanogemMod Settings/Performance, then using SWAP is pointless

hello guys
I noticed that my games are opened so slowly in my Nexus 4 in compare with the other android phone like SGS 3 or Note 2 for example for opening Temple Run OZ it takes me about 1 minute while I have watched in Youtube that Note 2 open it in about 9 or 10 sec and also my phone open Dead trigger slowly and takes me a lot of time?
why it is like that?
Note:My android version is 4.2.2
Excuse me for my english
What did you do with your device
Because I don't really know what you have installed, etc. , I would suggest you to do a factory reset.
Try to update on 4.3 first, maybe that helps (but I don't think so )
Do you use any custom kernels or ROMs?
Maybe somebody has a better solution
Are you on a custom rom? Kernel? Are you doing anything in an attempt to save battery like under volting or under clocking. Using any battery saving apps?
Sent from my Nexus 4 using xda app-developers app
I don't know why my phone is like this but my rom is stock and isn't custom ROM And also I haven't changed my kernel too
if you have root, then wipe your dalvik cache. also, how much free storage space do you have left?
Just tried OZ, opens in around 15 seconds

You do not need to do this. But I think the previous person was on to something.. check your available storage space. I bet its low.
If not dude you should just factory reset and see f that fixes it.for ya.

For the most part I would say the defaults are plenty, but I added a little bit to my data because I usually pack my device full of apps and wanted to make sure there was enough room.

For me it's not enough, I easily burn through 4 gigs. And touchwiz alone takes up a ton of storage itself. That's why I had to install it over stock.

I read your post about how to install over stock and found it very helpful. I'm wanting to do the same myself with hyperdrive ROM. Only difference is I would like to just install over stock without restoring from another slot. What do I need to wipe, format, or whatever else from the stock slot?
Thanks in advance

While Samsung’s TouchWiz interface has by no means been among the top skins to be implemented by manufacturers, the Korean company has never given up on improving the custom Android interface. Most of the criticism revolves around the effects TouchWiz can have on the fluidity of a device’s interface, as well as the overall appearance the company imposes on their users. With the latest Galaxy S6 smartphones, Samsung has shipped a newer version of the TouchWiz interface, which Samsung claims is both lighter in system resource consumption, as well as a more refined experience.

Why cant just devs make custom rom with fixed ram managment?

TouchWiz is themeable, and if you still aren't happy, you can buy something else--Samsung isn't holding a gun to your head. Besides, it's irrelevant to the supposed topic of the article and only serves to set a negative tone. This is little more than a biased and poorly executed opinion piece.

I dont care about memory leak, i just want rom which can handle over 20 apps in multitasking screen which wont reload in couple of secs.
[QUOTE=Isus memory IS RAM lmao.. thats precisely what the mem leak fix is.. it fixes the multitasking and allows it to stay in the background longer than stock which kills it very aggressively out of the box..
you should read up on it because you clearly dont know what your talking about.

You clearly dont know what you're talking about, I had memory leak issues on Nexus 5 but I still could have over 15 apps in recent tabs without reloading unless ram usage is over 95%... On S6 even after restart, when ram usage is 60% I cannot have more than 3 apps in recent tabs.. Explain me now, how can memory managment and memory leak be the same? smartass ..
P.S (memory IS RAM lmao) memory doesnt clearly mean RAM, there is memory in GPU, drives, sd cards, etc.
[QUOTE=Isus
the mods used for memory leak is specifically in regards to ram management which you modify the android system to run more apps in memory at a time without the system forcing them to restart.. this is available as well as included in many roms already..
RAM = Random Access Memory which is obviously the memory i was referring to.. if i was referring to any other memory i would have indicated so but assumed it was safe to simply say "memory" and you would know what memory i was talking about since the main topic is RAM memory.
Im not trying to argue, you made a post i said there is a fix for it already because there is. You can not believe me all you want, i could care less lol.

Memory leak is different than ram management.
Memory leak is pre-5.1.1 where the phone gets slow over a longer period of time but a reboot fixes it. The colour fade fix is one of the memory leak fixes.
Memory management is the multitasking issue we are having where apps don't stay alive while multitasking!
