Device Care modded? - Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge Questions and Answers

Is there a modified version that does not display this message?View attachment 4973303

Go to: settings > applications > show system applications> find device care, then clear data. When you now open the smart manager app it will show the device security as deactivated. (easiest way)
If you have your phone rooted you can modify feature.xml file in system/csc folder by adding this string:
CscFeature_SmartManager_DisableAntiMalware>TRUE</CscFeature_SmartManager_DisableAntiMalware> (use Notepad++ to open that file)

Click to expand...
Click to collapse
This method does not work for me. This message returns after a while.

I do not have this file (stock rom 8.0.0). Will editing the other.xml file give the same effect?

Should do mate. Try it.

It works. I have not removed the application because it manages the frame memory better.View attachment 4976417

The number of times I've nearly done that myself. I renamed "Storage Card" by accident recently. There should be a warning before renaming registry keys or folders etc.

[Guide][Change displayed android version and build number][Just for fun]

This guide will show you how to change the information(like android version and build number) that is shown in your phone's 'About' menu.
First you need a rooted phone and create a nandroid backup in case you screw up.
This will not change anything for real! Like if your android version is x and you change it to y, the android version will still be x but will show y.
To change the info
1) Open any file explorer that enables you to change things at root level( eg root browser) and head over to the 'system root' area.
2) There go to the 'system' folder, where you will see a file named build.prop
3) We need to edit that. Open that file and there you will see some code. See the screenshot.

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
To change the android version, edit the 'version release' line (see mine is changed to 5.0 . You can do whatever you want) and to change the build number, edit the 'build display Id' line.
4) Reboot and it's done.
(There are a lot of other things to change which I hope you will figure out yourself)
Hit thanks if this was helpful.

I think u should scan your phone with a reliable antivirus, and then try to remove that thumbnail file or folder in Twrp.
How to delete that file in twrp..??
Settings > Apps & Notifications > See all apps > Click on 3 points > Show system > Search for "Media Storage" and clear storage.
Now, use a file manager that shows hidden files and go to "DCIM" folder > .thumbnails > and delete thumbdata/thumbdata4.
This method works for a while, when the file gets big again, you can repeat the process.
Hope this helps!
