I guessed that might be the case

The number of times I've nearly done that myself. I renamed "Storage Card" by accident recently. There should be a warning before renaming registry keys or folders etc.

as the title says...is there?
for the HTC Home-plugin you can change this regkey (or use Home Customizer):
HKLM\Software\HTC\Music Plug-in
Change the key MusicPlayer from 1 (=WMP) to 2 (=HTC AudioManager)
After disabling / re-enabling HTC Home (or softreset) it should work.
For general file associations maybe Schaps Advanced config will help you
(there is a tool to change file associations, see screenshot lower left)....never tried, but maybe it's your solution ?
Cheers

HKLM is standing for HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE. But this key is only for the HTC-Home music-Plugin...added a screenshot for you:

Ignore that if your not used to Editing the reg. a much easier way is to run HTC customizer. its very simple and fool proof. Attached
Hello guys,
Would someone be willing to develop a small tool „folder launcher“ for use on Windows Mobile, VGA?
I need a small application to be able to display specified “folder”. I would prefer an icon view of this folder, with ability to start up any content of the folder (such shortcuts, *.exe files etc…)
I know, it would be "the same" or similar to WM programs (Start menu/Programs), but I could not find any way of how to run the programs folder with any command or shortcut either from hardware key nor from softkey.
Here is my idea of how it could look like:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Thank you for any help in advance.
Just create a shortcut from "\Windows\folderview.exe" to \Windows\Start Menu\Programs"

I've tried... It was missing on my DIAMOND, so I did download the file from net, BUT it was visibly slow in comparison with original programs
Anyone to help?

Unfortunately that only works for the Programs Folder not any others, like \Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Games
I came upon these registry values....definitely tied to the scrolling.
Any one have any ideas of what each of these do?

Just one word...
CERegEditor new version is 0.0.5.2. from here
- Added regular expressions in search function
- REG to CAB conversion, fixed long values support
- REG to CAB conversion bug fixed - files path were saved incorrectly
- Added support for XML (privisioning) files - create/edit/compare
- XML (provisioning) files can be applied to the connected device
- Application trys to interpret BINNARY values as date and time;
There are some places in the registry, where date/time is saved as binnary data;
e.g. HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\ActiveSync\Partners\...\LastSyncAttempt
- Support for REG/RGU is 100% rewritten and redesigned
- Keys with minus sign at the beginning, in REG/RGU files, are omitted now
- Some minor bug fixes

These are basically the scrolling parameters, where the other settings where the pressure thresholds.
I figured...
but does anyone know which one(s) would actually benefit us?
I updated to the new Energy rom and now I don't see "messages" in the quick links. Anyone know how to add it?
Can anyone chime in to help?
Have a look in your windows folder on your phone. Look for messaging_Client.exe if it is there then you can create a shortcut with something like Total commander in the start menu and should give you your shortcut. If you dont see it then I would ask in the roms thread.
Where is the Windows folder? I have the phone connected to my computer with ActiveSync but the \windows directory is the only one I don't see.

You need to have all files and folders shown but when you hook it up to the pc then go into main storage (not SD card) you should see the windows folder
This is all that I see:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Ok you have to go into your control panel on your PC under folder options and unhide the protected folders.
Eureka, I found it! Thanks!
Hello guys,
I actually own a windows ce 6 device called "Zune HD". There's an application made for it that allows to run cab files from windows mobile, but you have first to get some libraries.
So here's my problem: I tried to install Opera mini 10.3, but a DLL named "Cellcore.dll" is missing in order to run it.
So you guys have two options:
Give me a download link to cellcore.dll
Create me a dummy DLL with empty functions to pretend to be cellcore.dll
Thank you very much!
try these
(one of them is from my rom kitchen but dont know how to convert it into full .dll)
the other is a blank/dummy .dll
Rn
found this also so might be worth looking into these registries:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\COMM\DTPT]
"dtpt_controller_dll"="cellcore.dll"
"use_dtpt_for_process"="UseDTPTForProcess"
Thanks for the fast answer!
So I'll first try your DLLs and I'll give you the result ASAP
Update: I put your dummy DLL in the installation directory of my game and it still does'nt work... :S Bizarre...
duno then dude
good luck
had a thought..
download HTCRIE
this displays the contents of a rom, eg:
1) a whole rom is a .NBH file, a rom has parts, which are .NB files

go into *OS and save your .dll file
