I came upon these registry values....definitely tied to the scrolling.
Any one have any ideas of what each of these do?

Just one word...
CERegEditor new version is 0.0.5.2. from here
- Added regular expressions in search function
- REG to CAB conversion, fixed long values support
- REG to CAB conversion bug fixed - files path were saved incorrectly
- Added support for XML (privisioning) files - create/edit/compare
- XML (provisioning) files can be applied to the connected device
- Application trys to interpret BINNARY values as date and time;
There are some places in the registry, where date/time is saved as binnary data;
e.g. HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\ActiveSync\Partners\...\LastSyncAttempt
- Support for REG/RGU is 100% rewritten and redesigned
- Keys with minus sign at the beginning, in REG/RGU files, are omitted now
- Some minor bug fixes

Click to expand...
Click to collapse
These are basically the scrolling parameters, where the other settings where the pressure thresholds.
I figured...
but does anyone know which one(s) would actually benefit us?

Over at Howard Forums we have a fellow with a setting that came on his unit that lets him map his soft keys. The thread is linked below. Can anyone help us get this thing out of his unit so other Wizard owners can enjoy it too?

This is just a registry hack.

Tmobile
Actually the setting we are talking about is coming on TMobile Wizards in the UK. It enables a icon in the Settings area called "Softkeys" that allows people to change their softkeys without a registry editor or making changes to the registry.
That is what we are really looking for. Sort of "native support" of changing the keys as opposed to a clumsy registry hack.
Aegeas
Sorry, I meant it is possible to achieve easily in the registry.
If you follow the brighthand thread, it's also included in the upcoming Tweak2k. But if you find the native app, it'll be useful.

Yeah, I don't find the registry hack clumsy at all. I have reprogrammed my buttons several times, and its really easy.
Ok.
Perhaps clumsy was too blunt. How about uncivilized
Hi,
Does anyone know if it is possible to hide Bluetooth, WLAN and possibly Screen Orientation button on the bottom right of the Today Screen? I'm hoping it might be possible to edit a registry key to hide these buttons. I've included a snapshot of the screen showing the buttons for clarity.
Thanks for any assistance,
Dav

Ok I have a cunning plan....
I notice that the tweaks2k2 software allows you to hide the Orientation Icon, which works nicely. Now, if I take a snapshot or backup the registry before and after and then compare them, I should be able to see what was changed by tweaks and then add that registry change to my CAB file. Guess what i need now is an app which either backs up or takes a snapshot of a mobile registry... any recommendatiosn most welcome!
Thanks,
Dav
Ok, forget that plan, Google turned up a nice list on this website, didnt realise a lot of this stuff was nicely documented here. Excellent. Simply -
HKLM\Services\ScreenRotate\ShowIcon
ShowIcon = 0; to hide it.
Cheers,
Dav
RegHacks2006 is an application which implements some of the registry tweaks found on thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?t=35339
It gives you the opportunity to apply these tweaks without messing with the registry. Simply press a button to enable or disable the desired tweak.
It uses .NET CFv2 so if you don't have it already on your device you'll have to download it. The cab can be found here: http://www.iroot.ca/projects/simpleOS/files/NETCFv2.ppc.armv4.cab
I take no responsibility if any damage occurs to your device by using this software. I have tested it on my s100 and works without causing problems. Take a backup of your registry in case something goes wrong.
download it from: www.elefasdev.tk

Using 3rd party software makes things easier bu occupies valuable space. I prefer to tweak the registry myself.
this app is 19KB in size (not considering .NET CF2 size). So it is does not occupy so much valuable space. Plus when you make the changes you like, you can close it or even remove it from your system.
Anyway, it is addressed to whoever may find it useful. Thanks for your comments .
Sounds useful for the less experienced & brave among us. Though .net v2 is a moloch :-( & IMHO not worth it.

Ok after researching and locating UITweaks to change font colors, menu colors, etc.. i was wondering how the hell do I change the icons for cell signal, audio icon, and connectivity icon (G/E). Thanks in advance.
With shortcut creator you can change the icons http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=275577
If you want to change the icons in the start bar (top bar), it depends on the app. Easiest routes may be through a signed mui, or cooking your own rom containing custom icons.
Have a read through this thread for some ideas:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=287829&page=2&highlight=shell
I've made an app to allow you to dynamically change the icons to whatever you want, but it's not being released right now.

anyone happen to know what dll the signal icon, volume icon, and connection icon fall under or perhaps where they can be found in the registry? I tried using the above programs but cannot find out where the required files are located.
bump...................
Why not dump the rom, extract the icons, and check out which contains the relevant images?
I've done it but unfortunately don't have the filenames at hand.

Hey guys
Does anyone know where in "SYS\23563\*_Lang_0413_*" i have to look to fix my problem showcased in the screenshot?
(Keyboard overlap)
I'm cooking SYS 23569, with 23563 0413 stuff atm with the following result:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
If i replace the "*_Lang_0413_*" files from 23563 with 23547 stuff, the problem is solved, so it has to be in there somewhere and i'd like to pinpoint it
Cheers
PS: isn't there any 0413 23566/23568/23569 floating around?
I would check the rgu in the Base_Lang_0413_* folder. Compare the following entry with the one that works with the one that doesn't:
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\Sip]
"MenuBarHeight"=dword:44
Ezinput solves itself with the default reg sip fix?

Click to expand...
Click to collapse
44 is the current value (from 23547), so the working one.
i'm redownloading the 23563 rollup as i lost it to check what the value was there
Will report back
(Perhaps i accidently used a wrong *_dpixxx*)

You pointed me in the right direction, in the end Thanks.
It appears i had selected the Base_Lang_0413_dpi12 instead of 192 all back to normal.
