Hi everyone, actually today i I just got my s10 plus battery replaced. The problem is the battery is getting hot as well as draining very fast compared to last battery. Any input on why is it happening.
The battery is original and got replaced from authentic samsung service center.

Another user also reported battery getting hot and draining after he rooted his replaced s10+ here's the link to the thread https://forum.xda-developers.com/s1...tery-drain-t3999023/post81836407#post81836407
Try and look if it's a software issue where an app keeps the phone awake using wakelock. Look into that thread and try some suggestions there maybe you'll find out what's causing it.

hello,
i'm using a galaxy s4 since 3 months now but i have a problem since this week.
my phone looses signal at some point. nothing that i know that can cause it. it doenst turn back when activating airplane mode and then deactivating this mode.
and when i turn of the phone it turns on to the standard galaxy S4 logo and then samsung logo but then it just dies.
i have to connect it to a charger and then it works.
also my phone doenst give an announcement when my battery is emptY. it sometimes displays 15% on battery and then it dies. when charging the battery icon displays and the battery is completly empty?
i looked at my battery and it is a little bit swollen and i only use official charger at night from samsung and during the day one of nokia
anyone else with this problem?
I had the same issue. My battery was also swollen.
Replacing my battery solved the problem. At least till now (fingers crossed)

Strange that original battery lived only a few months.

Unless you have a goof full LTE connection, expect that. Lte and battery do not get along with each other.

I´m experience that too. My battery is going slowly... Every new charge theems the phone lasts less... Battery issue?
I have experienced this during my Galaxy W days. And samsungs centre's technician told me it's because I charge my phone while using it for hours, and it's straining the battery causing the gradual swell. Since then I never plug my phone while using it and until now my s4's battery is still good as new. My phone's 4 months old already.
FYI.

I'm sorry but this doesn't make any sense to me. Maybe it's Samsung's was of "diverting" the fault to the user. The battery should not swell because you're using it while charging. I've never had this issue with with my other phone, which had a very small battery by design and had to stay plugged in if I were to get any real use out of it. Over charging does gradually reduce battery life but no swelling.
I have also had this issue. Started a few days ago with random reboots and signal losses.
Has anyone taken it back to the shop? Will they want to keep the phone for testing? I just want to replace the battery and not have to send my device away for a long time. I need to know because it's rooted and if they see that the warranty will be voided. Phone is only 3 months old, this really shouldn't happen.
I think it's battery issue. Maybe Samsung spares on the battery this time... on s3 it was on memory.
I solved this issue flashing a Google edition romantic with a full wipe (formating internal sd). Take some days with this Google edition tom and battery drain stopped. This can be related to last firmware releases. Just guessing...

Hello all,
I have a small query on my S4 which has just recently developed from what I can see. When my phone gets to about 20% or less, my phone just randomly switches off when I try to download an app or open an app. I am not sure if its the battery or a software issue but it is quite irritating. Has anyone experienced something similar and does anyone know if its a battery problem or not.
I dont want to buy another battery just in case it isnt that.
Cheers
VJ
Take a closer look at the Battery, if it slightly bloaded / expanded the Battery is defekt which cause exactly such problems.
If so replace the Battery under warranty!
It could be dangerous to load such a defekted Battery
It seems that some Battreys suffering by this problem even if they are only a couple of months old.
Regards
Cheers for that. I will have a look at it

Last week my battery wasn't lasting quite as long as expected.
Friday, my S4 started shutting down randomly (particularly when installing or opening apps) and attempts to reboot itself but fails at the Samsung logo. Non of these issues arise when connected to the charger.
I checked my battery which has bulged by maybe about 1mm in the middle each side.
I ordered a replacement stock battery yesterday and will let you know how I get on.
Just seen my battery and it definitely spins when put on a flat surface. There is also a bulge so I think I will need to look at a replacement battery going that will sort it out

New battery arrived and installed.
All the issues have been resolved, therefore I conclude the original battery is defective as I suspected.
I will now pursue a replacement under warranty.
Good luck with yours.
Just got my new battery and trying it today. Comparing both batteries and it shows my old one was damaged. It looked 'pregnant' compared to the new one. Hopefully all sorted now. Thanks everyone for their help

Had my S4 since the end of July. Everything has been perfect up toll now
I am on Wanamlite 2.0 since that day it has came out and recently I have had issues where the phone would just switch off and when I the battery level would drop between 50%-100% upon restart. Then it would go into a bootloop that would only stop if I put on charge.
This has been getting worse by the day and I did a factory reset and everything is still the same. Will try a new rom today but I don't think it will help because Wanamlite has been fine up till now.
Generally battery is draining really fast. Lost 7% just typing this message.
The battery also looks slightly deformed but my S2 battery looked exactly like that and it was fine.
Please help and give suggestions and tell me if you know anything about the warranty situation on the battery because it has only been slightly used for couple of months

first thing to do is change battery
Yes. It was the battery. I wonder what caused it to deform. Maybe I just got a bad batch. I can't let that happen again.

Hi do you remember your old battery code by any chance? Also, what is your new battery code. We are actually trying to figure out which battery "batch" is/was faulty.
Thanks

Hello, I've had this phone pretty much since release. I've never had any problems with battery life on it, I would typically get 5-6 hours of screen on time since I'm not that heavy of a user. Recently, however, I have not been getting very good battery life at all. My phone drains a lot, even while it should be sleeping. I checked the battery usage report and the first thing on the list just says 10037. I click on it and cannot force stop or anything and it doesn't provide me with any additional information. I'm just wondering if anyone knows of a way to figure out what this is or if any has had any issues with this is as well and found a fix. I haven't really done anything new to the phone that I can think of. I posted the screen shot of my batter usage. Thanks.

It's an app that was previously uninstalled. If you restart the phone and recharge it should disappear.

I haven't uninstalled any apps that were number 1 on my list, though, that's why I'm confused. This puppy is showing that's it's using a lot of battery lol.
Just try it. I've encountered a lot of this on other forums. Fix was always the same.

I'm in the process of trying it lol. But I don't think it hurts trying to get more information while the phone is charging. I've given it a google and couldn't find it on other forums, which is why I made a post asking. I did see a lot of people that posted their battery logs from their rooted apps saying an id of the deskclock was 10037. So I wasn't sure if that was draining my battery for some odd reason after the update a couple weeks ago.
Hello,
So, it's been almost 2 years since I bought the Nexus 6P. I was well aware of the sudden shut down of the phone when the battery is 1 to 25% but I never faced it, until now.
I started facing this issue since the last 3 days.
I was wondering if replacing the battery fixes the issue or not?
Asking because I cannot buy a new phone right now, need to make this one last longer.
Thank you.
Yes it does. I bought this phone used and it had the shutdown issue would shutdown between 1-30% battery. I replaced the battery and it has stopped. But be careful on where you buy your battery because more issues might arise. I bought my replacement battery from Amazon and the issue it has is the phone will shutdown if the volume is all the way up on videos sometimes. Also will restart sometimes when the battery is low and you try using the camera app. It has something to do with the volatages being to much for the non oem battery

Okay, thank you everyone.
Apart from the shut down issue I can see that my battery life had reduced greatly.
When I got the phone, it have me a 5 hour screen on time, now I only get 1 and a half hour screen on time.
So I guess it's time to change the battery anyways.
Well, a little late, but for anyone new reading this thread - a new battery will not fix your issues. I've replaced the battery twice with OEM and it still had the shutdown after a couple months on each battery.

You meant to say A New replacement battery did not fix your shut down issue..
As for me and many others it fixed our early shut down issue.
The first replacement battery lasted only 2 months and the shut down issue came back.
The second replacement battery is still going strong almost 2 year's sofar.

I mean, yeah, the battery replacements did fix the shutdown issues, but they came back after a few months. I'm gonna be tearing the phone down yet again and replacing most parts aside from the motherboard. Going to see if that will fix my issues. I'll go with an Amazon battery this go around to see if it makes anything better.

My first battery replacement only lasted 2 months or so then the early shut down issue came back.
So the second battery replacement from a different seller on Amazon is going almost 2 year's [emoji106]
