Your Fire tablet have registered with Amazon account. Try again to factory reset and bypass Amazon registration. Do not register your Fire tablet.
Try it to remove all Amazon junks with @Datastream33's Fire Toolbox.

That's the problem, we disabled the device provisioned settings. Can you enable it.
Code:
//Enter ADB shell
adb shell
//Enable device provisioned
settings put secure device_provisioned 1

Dont mean to sound like a noob but I opened amazon toolbox and entered adb shell. I then entered the commands you gave but it says not found. Am I doing something wrong

What device are you on?
Are you unlocked?
Stock FireOS?
Rooted?

I'm also having the same problem. Fire 10 HD with google services installed via fire toolbox 27. Notifications don't work for apps installed via play store. Trying to get a messaging app (Kinzoo) working for my son but messages don't push to the app. They only appear when he closes the IM screen and reopens it to refresh. Also, no notifications. Same behaviour with Skype and other apps.
Is there a fix?

[Q] Appbrain & Kindle Fire

I installed Appbrain on my Kindle Fire. I can execute and sync with the Market but when I am trying to update something I am getting the following error message: "could not find that app in the amazon appstore for android at this time"
Why it tries to access the Amazon appstore, I want to sync with the Android Market. Any idea?

Any requests by apps/webpages to the Android Market get re-rerouted to the Amazon App Store automatically.
So when an app asks for an update and tries to contact the Android Market, the Kindle Fire automatically redirects it to search the Amazon App store instead, since the Kindle Fire was never intended to use the Android Market.

Any chance I can hack it not to be redirected? I guess somewhere it is hardcoded.

its has to be hard coded somewhere... no chance really until the custom ROMs come out.

You can stop this behavior by removing MarketIntentProxy.apk in /System/Apps/ by either deleting it with ADB or a file manager or freeze the app with TitaniumBackup. You must be root to do this and may need to restart for it to take effect.

Or renamed it
Sent from my Kindle Fire using xda premium
I just gave this a try... I renamed it instead of removing it at first.
I did reboot the device after making the change just to be sure. After the reboot, I first made sure that the normal Amazon stuff still worked. Used temp unroot, used Amazon live, turned root back on, went to the amazon market, got an app, removed the app...
then I went to android market, and then tried an app that has a purchase option that always failed because instead of going to Android market it would always go to the Amazon market instead... Worked!
I most likely will rename it and freeze it with TB...

In settings and under security, did you select "unknown sources".
Same issue
I had the same issue, couldn't get amazon app to install until I restarted my phone, even though unknown sources was checked. I did get the amazon app to install but now I can't install any apps from it. I get to the install screen but can't tap the install button, it just does nothing. I've discovered I'm also having the same issue with my Nexus 5. Is this a Marshmallow problem?

Check the permissions for the Amazon app, make sure it has clearance for storage, etc.
It's because of Lux... Disable Lux and try again. I had the same issue on my 5x but when installing a local apk. It has something to do with the overlay that Lux adds. It messes something up with the permissions (have you ever gotten the message about an overlay being enabled when you go to grant something permissions? I think it's the same thing that causes it)

Thanks. Haven't tried this yet. What happens if I press the Home button on the Fire remote? Do I go back to the Amazon or Kodi screen?

Goes to the Amazon home screen, so far only supports loading Kodi on boot and after screen timeout.
I have tested your App. Not working on my 5.2.4.1 Fire TV. But keep up the goodwork though.

Thank you working on my first gen ftv stick with new menu update. However could not interact with it via either the remote or the amazon iOS remote app. Had to uninstall and reboot to stop it booting kodi. Thanx BB

Fire os 5.2.4.1 Home ver. 5.7.3-17
Worked for me on both a Fire TV 1 and Fire TV 2. Both on latest 5.2.4.1 version. But I could not get the timeout option to work. Not sure about the units used, so I tried 1, 1000, and 1000000 but it always just launched immediately after boot each time.
Looks like the Time out function is to start kodi after the fire tv has gone to sleep for X amount of time.

Doesn't work for SPMC
OnBootKodi has been blacklisted by Amazon. This means you can only use it if your device is rooted and you've disabled the blacklist.
You can modify Kodi to run as a launcher. Then use Launcher Hijack v3 to make it act as the default launcher. It works WITHOUT root.

How do you turn Kodi into a launcher? And once you have, would pressing the home button on the FireTV remote open Kodi or will it continue to load the Amazon dashboard?

I am not 100% sure, but I think you can edit the manifest.xml file and add a launcher behavior. Not my specialty. If not you could edit Launcher Hijacks open source code to work with kodi, In the meantime just press home when it turns on and it will load your launcher of choice .

Would recommend SPMC with Launcher build in. Might be best option:
https://github.com/koying/SPMC/releases/tag/16.7.1-spmc
Haven't had time to test this option. Post your experience.
Unfortunately OnBootKodi is being blacklisted via Amazon.
I tried to hide Amazon blacklist Service, but it didnt help
pm hide com.amazon.tv.settings/com.amazon.tv.settings.tv.AppDisableService
OnBootKodi is being shown as disabled package after a FireTV reboot which cant be re-enabled due to non-root privileges.
edit1: also deinstalling tv settgins wont help
pm uninstall -k --user 0 com.amazon.tv.settings

I mentioned this in another thread some time ago but it never gained any traction. It appears Amazon is currently blocking these apps by package name alone. Why don't any of these developers just change the package name to something already in use on the app store that way Amazon can't block it without also blocking the real app?

It's a problem from Google Cloud Messaging APIs. Can be fixed by using Magisk module.

Fire HD 10 9th Generation Delayed Notifications

For anyone that is experienced with the Fire HD, how do I fix delayed push notifications that are from apps downloaded from the side loaded Google play store. They arrive either hours later, or I have to go in the app for them to actually show up... Only apps that are on the Fire originally such as email app has instant notifications
