First of all: don't listen anyone about replacing mainboard e.t.c.
Try to reflash your phone with latest factory firmware via RSD Lite or manually in fastboot mode. Then perform a factory reset and boot your smartphone into Android.
Hope it will help you.
Follow flashing instructions in this thread:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/2015-moto-g/general/guide-fastboot-flashing-factory-t3187750
Download stock firmware here:

Good luck!

Hi Thank you for your valuable time providing to solve my problem.
I tried flashing custom rom as you suggested ,
ROM Version which i download : XT1562_LUX_RETASIA_DS_6.0.1_MPDS24.107-52-5.xml
flashed it on fastboot mode still not showing any network and IMEI also 0.
I re-flash the modem by running these commands
fastboot flash modem NON-HLOS.bin
fastboot erase modemst1
fastboot erase modemst2
fastboot flash fsg fsg.mbn
fastboot erase cache
fastboot erase userdata
then also same problem.
by the way while flashing 1st time i removed sim card from the phone and after flashing ROM i inserted sim card.
2nd time i did not removed sim card from the phone and tried flashing stock rom both the ways not working for me.
Please help me whats happening with my phone.

Hey, I've been trying to fix my imei on my mxp, but I've tried the solutions in this thread already and it doesn't seem to work. Can you please help me?
Hi,
I have G4 Plus XT1642 (retapac). It came shipped with 6.0.1 MPJ24.139-48 preinstalled.
Well i flashed, deleted, maybe bricked and then made it work again with the latest version i wanted to have (139-63) and then rooted it. Everything worked/works, but the wifi mac shows as 02 000000 or something (but no problem with that, wifi mac is fixed with some earlier backup i have, it also gets fixed when i flash to original).
But the worst thing is: Both IMEI show as 0. In the setting menu, and also when dialing the command *#06# (Both IMEIs show 0).
It gave some errors at fastboot because of "downgrade" or so, but i think that's not the issue.
I tried everything, also reflashed to my original version (ATHENE_MPJ24.139-48_cid50_subsidy-DEFAULT_CFC.xml.zip). Everything is fine, wifi mac displays as original also, but IMEIs still are 0.
No matter what I do, both IMEI show as 0, and SIM cards don't work ofcourse (they work, show carrier names etc but don't get accepted, ---> "emergency calls only", because IMEI is 0 i think.
Before you ask: No i don't have a very early TWRP backup from before flashing, deleted it because I had later backup I though everything was working, didn't try any SIM at that time.
How can I fix this? Is there any hope?
What gives me the little hope: At "boot thing" when I type fastboot getvar imei, it shows the correct imei! It doesn't list the second sim though.
Thanks in advance!

Yes. Did exactly that. Flashed the files of XT1642_ATHENE_6.0.1_MPJ24.139-48_cid50_subsidy-DEFAULT_CFC.xml.zip ... with the commands
Code:
fastboot oem fb_mode_set
fastboot flash partition gpt.bin
fastboot flash bootloader bootloader.img
fastboot flash logo logo.bin
fastboot flash boot boot.img
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
fastboot flash dsp adspso.bin
fastboot flash oem oem.img
fastboot flash system system.img_sparsechunk.0
fastboot flash system system.img_sparsechunk.1
fastboot flash system system.img_sparsechunk.2
fastboot flash system system.img_sparsechunk.3
fastboot flash system system.img_sparsechunk.4
fastboot flash system system.img_sparsechunk.5
fastboot flash system system.img_sparsechunk.6
fastboot flash system system.img_sparsechunk.7
fastboot flash modem NON-HLOS.bin
fastboot erase modemst1
fastboot erase modemst2
fastboot flash fsg fsg.mbn
fastboot erase cache
fastboot erase userdata
fastboot erase customize
fastboot erase clogo
fastboot oem fb_mode_clear
fastboot reboot
Showed some "errors" at fastboot at some, but I think that was normal. And flashing worked.
But in the end, both IMEI are still 0.
Even reflashed the NON-HLOS.bin. IMEI numbers are still 0.
Additional information:
The original version this retapac XT1642 G4 plus came shipped with was MPJ24.139-48.
I then wanted to update to the latest non-nougat version, which is MPJ24.139-63.
I could not update directly to MPJ24.139-63 from MPJ24.139-48. (Because the internal recovery showed error, that flashed version must origin from MPJ24.139-23.4).
So I overflashed (with fastboot) to MPJ24.139-23.4. So the version then was even lower than it came shipped with lol. Then from MPJ24.139-23.4, used the internal recovery (not TWRP), to apply the OTA update file MPJ24.139-63. Since then the Wifi mac was 020000000 or something, sometimes random wifi disconnects, and imei 0. After going back to original again, wifi mac is fixed, but sim imei numbers still are 0.
Edit: not sure if the imei and wifi errors accured since MPJ24.139-23.4, or after the OTA update file, or sometime inbetween because i deleted something in TWRP.

Try removing oem fb set command
If it doesn't work then flash nougat then use 6.0.1 custom ROM
Edit fb_mode_set
Flashed everything again, without the fastboot oem fb_mode_set (MPJ24.139-48). Both IMEIs are still 0, everything else is fine though, original wifi mac.
---
Then took original over the air update it offered me (NPJ25.93-14). Installed without problems.
But, guess what.... it made things worse.
Now i am on NPJ25.93-14, the IMEIs still are 0, and the wifi mac address is at 02:00:00:00:00:00 again.
What I noticed is, in settings it shows the IMEI SV (Slot1) and IMEI SV (Slot2). They both changed to 08. I think they were 03 or so before.
Edit: In the boot recovery thing it says the usual stuff:
Battery OK (Charging)
flashing_unlocked
Software status: Official
...
So... updating to Nougat did not help, made things worse (wifi mac weird again, IMEI still 0).
Any other ideas?
Anyone looking for the solution to this problem, it has been fixed here: [Guide] [XT16XX] [Solve] Moto G4/Plus IMEI=0 issue
I followed the guide here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/mo.../rom-lineageos-14-1-moto-e4-qualcomm-t3690156
But now the sim card reader is not working.
I then installed the stock ROM using this guide: http://techposts.org/unbrick-moto-g4-plus-flash-stock-romfirmware/
But it is still not working.
I really don't think it's a hardware issue because the contacts are all there and clean. The sim card works in other phones so it's not that either.
I'm actually not sure if it worked before this, but I'm pretty sure it did. Because I flashed the moment I got the phone.
Thanks for your help!

Do you have the plus model? This is for the regular e4. Probably should have activated it first too.
Which model do you have? Qualcomm? Mediatek? What carrier? You have to flash the proper firmware.

Hi thanks for responding! I have the E4 XT1765. It's Qualcomm. MetroPCS. I tried the PERRY_METROPCS_C and PERRY_METROPCS_C_7.1.1 from from here: firmware. center/firmware/Motorola/Moto%20E4/Stock/
Same issue on one of my XT1765 MetroPCS E4's... it didn't happen after installing LineageOS, tho (maybe wrong thread to post this?). It happened after fiddling with several things - editing build.prop, installing unofficial apps, and disabling/re-enabling bloatware/system apps. I also lost the camera completely and lost all lockscreen notifications. I tried researching the problem, undoing all the changes, and even installing LineageOS. I've since re-installed stock several times on it and all the issues are corrected, except the SIM one - it just stays on Emergency Calls Only or sometimes No Sim, even with a known working, activated SIM card at the MetroPCS store. They suspected hardware (I don't, too coincidental on timing), but wouldn't submit it for repair as the screen is cracked a bit, so no warranty. For $50, it's a great phone, tho, so I bought another one.
It'd be nice to know if there is a fix for this. I tried all the suggestions I could find online.

Not for me. As we've said, re-installing stock ROM doesn't seem to solve the problem for some people, but it's cool it did for you. Other forums are peppered with people experiencing the same SIM issue, some even apparently happening at random.

Unofficial apps... I just mean any apps that I didn't get from the Google Play Store. Nothing too dodgy, but I just can never rule out that those might be a factor in issues.
Specifically, I played around with disabling/uninstalling the MetroPCS apps (MyMetro, NameID, MetroZone) and a few things that had "Moto" in the name, not sure which... that's all.

You delete both those lines and replace them. Unlike the system.img file, which you do have to flash in 'sparsechunks', the oem.img file in this phone's stock ROM isn't in chunks, so flashing it is as a whole, with only one line, as follows:
> fastboot flash oem oem.img
And yah, I don't understand why, but I found flashing the partition table (gpt.bin) made my phone bootloop. Omitting it worked.
HTH.

Yup, that list all looks exactly like what I did.
'sudo -s' .... no, you don't include that when running fastboot from Windows, it's a Linux thing. I'm not sure you have to, but I do always run adb/fastboot from a command prompt with admin priveleges when I'm using WIndows. which is kinda the same thing as 'sudo' on Linux.

Yep, similar experience. I hate doinking around in fastboot if another option exists. That said, one needs to be comfortable at the command line in case something goes amiss.

Hi @lohanbarth,
Please change the title of the thread to "[STOCK][ALJETER]Firmware Moto G6 Play".
The reason is to be consistent with the other two threads for "G6" and "G6 Plus".
With this change will be more easy to distinguish for users of the "G6 family".
And thank you for provide theses firmwares! :good:
Sorry if this is a dumbass question but can I flash this on the boost/Sprint variant since it can be bootloader unlocked? And will it remove the bloatware downloading from boost/Sprint. Again sorry if it's a dumb question.

If you have a bricked boost mobile variant and need a jeter rom u can try this backup: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1pHiR6fssHOTJ-13-yttipMdB-DBNv_IM
Just unzip it and put it inside the TWRP folder on your phone and click Restore with twrp. It should flash. I tested it twice on my G6 Play (boost mobile variant) (jeter)
I actually got it flashed through twarp it said it was a success but when I reboot my phone it stays on the Motorola splash screen

I've got to admit that's closer than I've ever been

bookmobile is cdma the one i have xt1922-9 is a gsm that probley why it wont go a passed the Motorola splash screen after flashing
I followed all the steps, but at the time of restart, I sent back to the boot manager, I had to install the previous firmware
Bty I found the right firmware for the Moto g6 play 1922-9 and it works flawless
if at the end of flashing it is returned to the bootloader...
1 clarification about the firmware opp27.91-87.. in the command lines, one of the system lines is missing:
fastboot flash system system.img_sparsechunk.4
If they add it to the .bat, or if they include it manually, it should start without problems
problem with sound
i flashed my xt1922-4 a few hours ago, but first problem that i found, was the calls, speaker no sound when make or receive calls, only handset and can't install magisk (boot loop after boot moto sequence)

I have the same model and I noticed that one of the lines in the bat file is wrong, the dspso.bin is actually adspso.bin (line 5), just edit it and it should work fine:
fastboot flash dsp adspso.bin
In addition, add the line that Wid_w mentions:
fastboot flash system system.img_sparsechunk.4
I attach my edited .bat file, I just 've flashed mi phone and everything seems to work without problems.
Thansk for guide, but i cant install Magisk on this OPP27.91-87, stay in M Logo. Any Help? (my poor english)
I'm currently stuck in a bootloop with a rooted (Prime Exclusive) Moto G5 Plus. Every time I turn on the phone or restart the phone, I keep getting sent to TWRP Recovery, and can't boot into the system. What I want to do is just restore this phone to the stock firmware and factory reset my device. Please help me.

Download your actual firmware, unpack it into your fastboot folder (recommend: Minimal ADB & Fastboot), bring your device in fastboot mode and flash everything one after the other:
Code:
fastboot oem fb_mode_set
fastboot flash partition gpt.bin
fastboot flash bootloader bootloader.img
fastboot flash logo logo.bin
fastboot flash boot boot.img
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
fastboot flash dsp adspso.bin
fastboot flash oem oem.img
fastboot flash system system.img_sparsechunk.0
fastboot flash system system.img_sparsechunk.1
fastboot flash system system.img_sparsechunk.2
fastboot flash system system.img_sparsechunk.3
fastboot flash system system.img_sparsechunk.4
fastboot flash modem NON-HLOS.bin
fastboot erase modemst1
fastboot erase modemst2
fastboot flash fsg fsg.mbn
fastboot erase cache
fastboot erase userdata
fastboot erase customize
fastboot erase clogo
fastboot oem fb_mode_clear

@Wolfcity Can you be more clear as to what you mean by my "actual firmware"? I'm not sure what firmware version my device is on, nor can I find any repository on the Internet to download said firmwares for the (Prime Exclusive) Moto G5 Plus.

As you have flashed a TWRP you must have your bootloader unlocked. You need the firmware that your device was on when you did that.
Downgrading i.e. flashing an older firmware can brick your device.
The newer firmwares for reteu/retus are ending on 93-x, like
POTTER_NPNS25.137-93-4 (january security patch)
POTTER_NPNS25.137-93-8 (march security patch)
POTTER_NPNS25.137-93-10 (april security patch)
Earlier ones had another number scheme.
Firmware for India, Brazil and Asia Pacific is ending on 92-x.
I don´t know the Prime exclusive edition but I don´t think that it uses another firmware. But I heard of a Amazon version with ads and an unlockable bootloader?
How did you unlock then? Or are there different versions?
@Wolfcity I really don't know how to respond, but I can't figure this out. I don't know what firmware version to install, I don't know where I can find the firmware version, and whenever I try to run a fastboot command through adb I get stuck on an infinite "waiting for device" message. Can you please help me with step-by-step instructions on how to fix this?

Here are some firmware sources:
https://androidfilehost.com/?a=show&w=files&flid=171014
https://mirrors.lolinet.com/firmware/moto/potter/official/RETAIL/
http://www.filefactory.com/folder/c6cdedc45a775d27/?sort=created&order=DESC&show=25&page=1
I can´t tell you on which firmware you were when you unlocked your bootloader. And the next problem is that you can´t run any fastboot commands, you need fastboot to flash the stock firmware with the commands I posted above.
Have you the latest Motorola drivers and something like Minmal ADB & Fastboot installed?
1) from TWRP run "Bootloader reboot"
2) send the command "fastboot devices" receive the serial number of the phone. Once you have obtained the serial download "POTTER_NPNS25.137-93-4_cid50_subsidy-DEFAULT_regulatory-DEFAULT_CFC.info.txt" and execute the commands as suggested.
@Wolfcity, @antonio52 Thank you guys SO much! I finally got around to doing this, and my device is running perfectly well now! I couldn't have done it without you!
