So when on android 9 i was able to edit the APN's via the ##DATA# (##3282#) menu to add dun to the APN to enable hotspot support. Now on the android 10 beta i just get an empty list and cant manually add an APN. Does anyone have another way to accomplish this? Im hoping it will return in a future update.
I'm looking to do the same any luck on a fix yet?

Not yet, i had to go back to U1 pie to try to get in beta again. That failed but now someone posted the U1 beta update file. Ill be applying that soon and hopefully its not an issue there. Ill report back after updating again.

Great news! With U1 firmware the hotspot trick works! After going into the DATA menu back out and go to apn settings the normal way and select the apn you want to change and tap on the far left like normal.

If you head over to advanced features in settings
Or the phone app and setting.
You can enable a feature that will detect unwanted calls.
As it's built into the dialer it's a nice integration.
After recently updating my Rom this feature has now disappeared.
Just wondering if anyone still has this option.
Am wondering if there is any way to re-enable this.
Or if it's been removed from the Rom all together

I think the OP just hasn't updated his sig. He's clearly asking about the S7 feature.
OP: what carrier? My Sprint version still has the feature. The option is under Settings / Advanced features.
My T-Mobile variant had it and once the first ota came out it vanished. They will not add it back. I've been trying them for two weeks now.

Can you confirm your ROM Version.
I have now rolled back to the previous version of the ROM.
I am going to have a go at extracting this, But i wont be able to test it.
Do you mind me providing you a set of files to test when i do this?
I was not happy i lost this feature, And i will bring it back ))
Looking at it, its part of the DIaler, So first and most.
What's your Dialer version number?

What method is that? I've tried enabling wifi tethering as soon as the phone boots up, setting it up as open / no security and no luck..
This crushes my battery since i took it. I tried to downgrade but is that even possible?

Has anyone figured out how to update profile/PRL after rooting? Also, the ##MSLNUMBer# code doesn't work either. I've tried it with and without those 3 files need for root disabled/enabled and get the same result. If you hit update PRL under settings, I get initializing application and that's it. Not an issue now, but just curious for future reference.
Or does the "active this device" under settings perform those update? I can get that to work.
I am trying to figure this out too

You are likely in the magical combination I found too, if you download foxfi it should work without any issue, but in about a week it ****s the bed
Reactivate phone in settings and youll get the ability back OR ##SCRTN# for a total network reset including updates of prls and profile

Hey guys, two things.
1. How I fixed this issue was, first I installed titanium backup. Then I went to settings and activate device, wait until it says "writing to device"
then hit the home button, go into titanium, BACKUP FIRST!!!! the following applications: Samsung DM Phone Interface, Samsung DM Service, and SecurityLogAgent. Then uninstall them, and restart your phone. That fixed it for me.
2. I have had so many issues with the firmware flashed for this phone, and I can't find stock anywhere, does anybody have a copy of stock for me to download for the sprint s7 edge?
edit:Just found a copy of stock. Trying to flash now. Will update with results

I was able to update the prl by making a backup with Flashfire, then Odin stock firmware , update prl, then restoring my backup. I did a full normal restore and the prl stayed

Hello, I have been talking with this guy from atnt s7 forum. This is what he said...
- Omar04
-Can't remember where they are but I remember I did this> dial *#8736364# a Screen will come up Software update there I tap on check for update then tap on Results if any you will see a long URL with many numbers on it use that URL to get the bin file containing the OTA link and use the ota link on a download manager for it to download if you don't have that version yet. But for the newest ota you need to decipher by yourself Q=2017 A=January and numbers after month =day of build if you lucky and find the correct build it will show up to download that's how we AT&T users find the Nougat ahead of time.
- If a long link didn't show then you need someone else with older build to do same for link to show on results then every one will be able to use that link and search for OTA hidden in servers.
If anyone is still on the old firmware , there is hope that through using this way, we can get an early final nougat!!!
Unable to process the request.
You have to have an older version of android MM.
That just brings it to the check for update menus with 2 more options. Tmobile is still adding their bloat and testing it before release according to their update status for s7

T-Mobile website still has it listed as I'm manufacture development stage. Gonna take a while before we see it
Deadlysin9 posted this...
That could be it. I got the server URL for the guy that did the S7 one by just going into /data/data/com.ws.dm (the data folder for our system update app, you'll have to find the package name of yours) and looking through all the files. From there it seems he looked at the desc.bin that it downloads to get the URL of the actual update package, but I don't know what he did after that to find the other files.
I believe this is an alternative possibility of getting the same result. Also it IS possible. Atnt got their software early by using this exact same method.

Not sure how it looks in Oreo but can you open the overflow menu and see if you can just add a new one and then switch over to that one?
Or try doing the network operators option and do search automatically maybe it will refresh it
Another suggestion is to power off remove SIM power on. Let it boot completely then power off put SIM back in and turn back on and see
It is not available

If it is Sprint, you can't do that. They only over OTA, and there is no KDZ files available for download. I am in the same boat.
There's no solution yet
Is this only a problem for Sprint users ?
Why some have it and not all
Did you update to Oreo?
