Hi everyone,
I have an unlocked Galaxy s4 i9500 from Movistar (Colombia). It was stock 4.3 when I got it and installed PAC MAC rom based on android 4.4.4. Since then I got no service (no "not registered on network", just no service). Only sometimes I got to connect to service, both in Colombia and United States, but it quickly loses it. I have been looking for a solution for a long time but no luck. These are many on the things I checked and/or tried:
- IMEI is ok. Checked many times. Is the same as in the back of the phone. Never got NULL or something else.
- SIM is readed perfectly, I even get the phone number.
- Wi-fi works with no problem.
- Used both cwm and twrp recoveries.
- Tried many modems (in line with each android version installed). I used both flashing in recovery as Odin. Sometimes flashed same many times (as suggested in some forums)
- Flashed many roms (Pac-man, CM11, Arrow, Supernexus) and also stock, both 4.3 and 4.4. Also went back and forth between them. Cannot downgrade to stock 4.3 or 4.2 since I installed 4.4 stock (Odin will not allow it).
I am running out of options . As far as I have seen many solutions suggest the use of a box (asansam or z3x) but these are very expensive and for me it's not worth it as I will not be using it for anything else.
Any help of clue about what can solve this will be greatly appreciated. Let me know any extra info you might need to help me.
Thanks!
I've rooted my s7 edge and was looking for solutions for the secret mode but can't find any except for the custom roms. I already searched and found a zip file that is supposed to fix this but it doesn't do anything and my samsung browser still doesn't let me use the secret mode. Any other options to fix this other than custom roms?
Hi guys,
I have a Galaxy S6 Edge +, on EE. The 6.0.1 update is not out yet so i am currently running 5.1.1.
I have tried to root my device a couple of times, first time seemed okay for 3 days but soft bricked my phone.
Today i re-tried but for some strange reason, no wifi passwords save and when i connect to wifi my phone reboots.
Ive done some research online and found a fix by editing one of the system files to fix the password saving on wifi.
However i am unable to find a solution to why my phone restarts whenever connecting to a wifi network, if i load the stock firmware onto my phone, all is working fine.
If anyone could guide me in the right direction or give me any help i would really appreciate it!
Thanks

I had a similar problem rooting my edge +
Easiest way is to go onto chainfires website and download the CF root that matches your phone and flash through odin...piece of cake
My galaxy S6 EDGE PLUS SM G928F is not remembering my wifi password what might be the problem
My Metro On5 won't toggle wifi or BT. It just sits there acting like it's searching. The rom is QC4 and I can't do anything with it without Wifi. I've tried downgrading the rom to no avail, thinking it may be currupt files on the phone. I'm finally downloading the stock QC4 for Odin flash, but I really don't have much faith in it. Is anyone else experiencing this problem? Is there anyway to fix the problem though prop edit? Is there ANYTHING I can do that I haven't tried?
Hello everyone,
I've flashed my phones for quite a few years, messed things up from time to time, but always found solutions. This time however, i don't really know where to start.
I kept my Zenfone Max Pro M1 in its original state for the time of warranty and only unlocked and flashed it a few months ago. I first got into problems with the storage (couldn't install apps) and in my attempt to fix it i kinda bricked my phone... i don't remember all the steps i took, but what ended up working was Qualcomm Flash Image Loader (QFIL) with an Image i found online.
After that i flashed Spark OS and later Superior OS (both clean flashes), but with both i'm having problems with the internet connection. I only get EDGE which is really slow (WiFi, phone calls and everything else works fine). Tried out all possibly APNs and swapped SIM-cards with a friend to rule that out.
I'm suspecting some file needed for UMTS and up (specifically for european networks?) has been overwritten, but i haven't been able to find anything (great job by Microsoft renaming their browser also to Edge, doesn't make the search easier).
I recall having similar problems back then and flashing a certain radio.img fixed it, but i don't find anything about that either. Maybe something else baseband related? Do you think Asus could help me out? What to ask for?
Grateful for any input
Update: realized my serialnumber is displayed as C4ATAS000000 which is not that uncommon and might be the culprit. haven't found a working solution yet, but working on it
