Galaxy On5 won't toggle wifi or bluetooth. - Samsung Galaxy On5 Questions & Answers

My Metro On5 won't toggle wifi or BT. It just sits there acting like it's searching. The rom is QC4 and I can't do anything with it without Wifi. I've tried downgrading the rom to no avail, thinking it may be currupt files on the phone. I'm finally downloading the stock QC4 for Odin flash, but I really don't have much faith in it. Is anyone else experiencing this problem? Is there anyway to fix the problem though prop edit? Is there ANYTHING I can do that I haven't tried?

[Q] My samsung galaxy s4 won't remember my wifi network

Okay so I have a Samsung Galaxy S4 from sprint, I love the phone it’s great. I was on the mdl update stock rooted and everything was working fine with wifi. Then I did a factory reset updated to mf9 (the latest update) and then rooted it still stock. Now my phone will connect to wifi if I manually connect to it and works fine, however, if I disable and reenable wifi or restart the phone or leave my house and come back, it will not reconnect to my network automatically, I have to select it myself and put the security key in everytime. When I disable and reenable my wifi it will show “secured” under my network, making it seem as if it never tried to save the network in the first place, So it won't automatically connect like it use to on the mdl update, because it seems as if it forgets it when it disconnects.
I tried even connecting and then forgetting the network and then connecting again to see if that would fix it but it didn’t.
The weird thing is that at my work it remembered the network and connects automatically and when I’m in range. And when I’m away from work I can see it saying “not in range”. Why isn’t my home network doing the same thing, and how do I fix this? (btw I really don’t want to do another factory reset if I don’t have to.)
-I have a 2wire 3800HGV-B router.

Okay well I fixed it by unrooting and using odin to go back two updates prior to mf9, then did 2 ota's back to mf9 and rooted again. all is working fine, also fixed the phone's getting too hot problem and battery last longer than ever.
it's your kernel that was causing this...for future reference, if you're on mf9 with the stock mf9 kernel and do not want to have to wipe your phone to fix this, you can use ShabbyPenguin's kernel...i had this issue before on my s4 and this worked for me...why the rooted stock rom doesnt like the stock kernel for wifi blows my mind...lol
How was it going on? Do you still have the problem with the wifi?
Perhaps you can try this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...56&postcount=2 (Greatly appreciated and high credit to dajumper's work.)
This works on my I337 NI1 Unlocked Rooted. I uses ES Explorer with Root Explorer enabled.
I went to the "system " folder in the device, scrolled down until I found "build prop" then edited using ES Explorer Note Editor.

[Q] Connecting S5 to Gear 1 w/ Null ROM

I've got my gear successfully running the latest Null ROM and I've got a variety of apps all working perfectly. Love it and don't want anything to change. HOWEVER, I just purchased an S5 (Verizon) and I'm having a heck of a time trying to get them to connect. Doesn't seem to matter how I try to do it, connection always fails. They can see each other and they will display 'paired' in the Bluetooth menus but that's the extent of it. Gear manager won't connect, notifications won't appear on the Gear, no love at all.
Anything else I can try? Do I need to flash the stock ROM, then connect, then flash it back? What is the best way to backup EVERYTHING I have currently running so that I could make that process, if needed, as painless as possible?
Sorry for so many questions, I appreciate any help!

ModemFastDormancy.APK

So I bought a Droid M a while back, used Radio Comm so I could use it on ATT and its worked ALMOST flawlessly. Im having issue with the Modem Fastdomancy apk. It doesn't wake up from deep sleep, and I sometimes have to soft reset it too boot it back up. After scouring the internet I've found that's its most likely the ModemFastDormancy.apk that's causing the issue. Since it has the latest update I cant root. Haven't tied unlocking the bootloader yet through Motorola, but I'm prob going to. can anyone tell me how to get rid of the modem fast dormancy apk? I cant use Titanium Backup without root, and stopping only works for a short time. Any help would be appreciated. I wish I had realized about the bootloader and root patches before I bought it, but I'm stuck till there's a work around.
Same here, using this phone, outside US in GSM network.
Anyone can advice something?

Wi-Fi issue on GS4 I337m

Hi, i have an issue with a Galaxy S4 owned by a company.
I received the phone rooted and iI was asked to unroot it. I read on a few websites and forums, and i flashed the stock firmware, using Odin.
The device was flashed and now running android 4.2.2. I tried updating it to 5.0, but i cant because of the Wi-Fi. The Wi-Fi just doesn't wants to turn on. I tried factory reset, removing battery, Router power cycle. I tried finding the Path: /data/misc/wifi/wpa_supplicant.conf, aand i wasnt able to find it, because there is no good file explorer and since i cant connect to wifi, i cant downlaod any. I plugged it in a computer and i wasnt able either to find this path. What are your suggestions, knowing that its is a company phone, so i cant root, and i cant flash a custom recovery and then run a custom ROM. The phone needs to be updated and to stay stock.
Thank you for your help.

SM-G928F Root

Hi guys,
I have a Galaxy S6 Edge +, on EE. The 6.0.1 update is not out yet so i am currently running 5.1.1.
I have tried to root my device a couple of times, first time seemed okay for 3 days but soft bricked my phone.
Today i re-tried but for some strange reason, no wifi passwords save and when i connect to wifi my phone reboots.
Ive done some research online and found a fix by editing one of the system files to fix the password saving on wifi.
However i am unable to find a solution to why my phone restarts whenever connecting to a wifi network, if i load the stock firmware onto my phone, all is working fine.
If anyone could guide me in the right direction or give me any help i would really appreciate it!
Thanks
- HardLineFX
I had a similar problem rooting my edge +
Easiest way is to go onto chainfires website and download the CF root that matches your phone and flash through odin...piece of cake
My galaxy S6 EDGE PLUS SM G928F is not remembering my wifi password what might be the problem
