Hey guys,
I am using yotaphone 2 YD206 since 2017 with RU 6.0 firmware.
And for about a year my yota is getting very laggy which is very frustrating.
This can happen on many apps like text message, phone, maps.. The app will take ~30-60s to open, sometimes it won't load at all.
Do anyone had this experience?
I am thinking about reflashing. Is there a firmware you would advise or should I stick with RU 6.0 ?
Thanks

Hi Guys
I bought a Huawei Ascend G7 phone (unlocked) from Harvey Norman in Australia, Nov 2015. I am stuck on ver 4.4.4, and never rooted etc. Model Number is G7-L02, which seems to be a rare version. Online I can see updates for the L01/L03/L11, but nothing for the L02 .
I can hardly even find a reference to this phone online. Nothing else in google even has the same Custom Version Number.
The phone needs the upgrade, the keyboard is unusable in key apps like google hangouts. its unbearable.
I've been waiting for the over the air update, however it looks like there is no update available for me. I am a pretty technical user and would happily install a custom rom, but it looks like theres no custom ROM or available update for this phone? I have no idea what to do?
Any advice is warmly welcomed.
Regards, benmihae.

Almost Christmas Time.. Anyone?
Stock firmware G7-L02
Guys share your stock firmware please. G7-L02ðŸ™ðŸ™ðŸ™ðŸ™
So no one is using this phone except us? Maybe it's time to throw this one out and buy a branded one it seems. I'm sick of this already almost 1 year with no update!
Anyone?
Hi, I recently purchased a YD206 from Gearbest at an amazing deal (only 130 for this phone) and as of my usual habits, I checked the XDA forums for the Yotaphone to see if there were any ROMs or tools that I should download. The phone runs on 4.4 KitKat, but I would need to upgrade to 5.0 to use many features. I had a Nexus 7 (2012) that was slowed down and made unusable because of the 5.0 update, and people here say that 5.0 slowed down their phone too. If I want to upgrade to 5.0, what build should I use? (I live in the US).
After I update the phone are there any interesting things to download/check out?
Thanks.
The Last russian firmware works very well and its lollipop. It also has several new features you dont get in kk

Upgrading to the latest Russian firmware is indeed the first thing to do. That firmware also has the YotaStore to check out the extra applications you can install. You can also find a few extra applications that are not in the YotaStore in this forum http://forum.xda-developers.com/yotaphone-one/orig-development Have fun with your Yota!

Thanks for the tip! My phone is arriving on the 17th, I look forward to its arrival.
Hi Guys,
Just wanted you to know that for past 3 monts I've been using latest RU firmware (RU1.1.134 I guess...).
Wanted to get rid of russian phone keyboard I switched to latest EU firmware LRX21M5.0.0-EU1.1.124b (downloaded off: ftp://fw.ydevices.com/YotaPhone2/Firmwares/EU/ and installed with yotaphone flasher. No problem with that. Although 134 RU firmware was new prior to 124 EU, I do not see any important differences, so in case anyone wants
to do the same, You are free to go
Cheers,
spinecki
I would say no thank as I just moved from EU to RU.
The benefit is to be on RU ROM you can have new updates quicker as they always release updates for RU first.
I currently have 3x Yotaphone 2 phones (one arrived today) and the two I am using so far have the EU firmware 124b. The main reason I installed the EU firmware instead of the RU version is because I find the phone keypad looks so strange with the Russian characters. I realise that it is better to use the RU firmware as there is a later firmware available with Marshmallow due to be released soon, too.
Is there a way of using the RU firmware, but keeping the normal EU keypad, or alternatively installing an alternative keypad app.
Perhaps by swapping one of the files used in the firmware update?
Maybe it will look familiar, if you change the firmware language to english.
Not sure you can change the stock keypad, but you may download any dialer app to your liking.
I have used the stock dialer for years now so I'm unable to recommend any app.

I have started to look at alternative dialer apps as that is probably the best solution. Does anybody have any good suggestions as there are so many to choose from?
Can I change from the EU firmware to the RU firmware without losing my settings and data? The version is the same so is it just a matter of flashing the files without formatting the user area?
Note, my phone is currently rooted. Can that be preserved (with data) while switching to RU?
Hello everyone, I really need your help.
I just received a yotaphone 2 yd201 from Geeks Planet Store on aliexpress. However, I've been trying without any luck to make its LED flash light work. Just want to make sure this is not my mistake in using software, would you let me know how to turn on the flash light on a yotaphone 2? I tried turning on Flash mode in camera app, or installing a torch software...
By the way, I flashed the phone to latest rom RU 124, OTA upto 134, RU radio (sadly, the original firmware was HK kitkat, baseband CN1_M05). It's quite easy with the help of Mr. TheArt's thread https://forum.xda-developers.com/yotaphone-one/help/guide-everything-to-yotaphone2-t3547194
After a day of using, I found out it heat up to 48*C when I was just surfing internet by Opera browser through wifi (haven't inserted a SIM card yet). I am wondering whether it is normal for a yd201?
Thank you so much for your advise !
