go to application setting and look for different apps not working under wifi then check for App restriction section, may be changing those setting to wifi restriction or something solve your problem

New problem this morning....
All of a sudden the phone won't connect to my wifi access point....it's been connecting and working fine for a couple of weeks, but this morning had lost the connection details for my home access point!
Anyone had similar issues? or know of a reason why?
cheers

This happens to me a lot. It seems to be if the router is switched off and it makes a number of attempts to access it and when it gives up it 'forgets' the settings. Anyone else got any ideas?
Save WM6 Wi-fi access point settings
I have posted this on another thread but will repeat it here as this seems to be the same issue.
My understanding is if there is any problem connecting to Wifi, WM6 deletes the Wifi settings for that access point. I think my friends have come up with a quick solution to this problem. Wifi Hero is a little application you can get for $2 that saves and restores your wifi settings using standard Windows Mobile APIs. Search for "Wifi Hero" and you should find it or the direct link is http://www.wireless-apps.net/desc.php?d=d1&id=246823

Hi,
I'm having this weird issue with internet connection on my Touch Pro. I'm using WM 6.5 build 24631 and 23134.
I'm able to connect to the Internet (3G) and is able to use it without any problem if I do not use it heavily, meaning light surfing. However if I use it heavily, like constant high speed download (either directly from the device or via Internet Sharing), then after a few minutes, the connection stops responding. When this happens, everything still works fine except the internet. I can't disable the data connection. Trying to do so will cause the application used to disable the data connection stops responding too. I can however enable Flight Mode, thus closing the data connection, but by doing so, I am not able to reconnect the data connection anymore. After a soft-reset, everything will go back to normal.
Does anybody out there ever experience this? If possible, a solution would be greatly appreciated.
Hmm ive been having some weird data connection trouble myself. im on a hd2 custom rom with 23134. sometimes the data connection taskbar icons show a working connection but none of my apps connect.
Maybe its related to the new builds

Yes, that is what I am experiencing. BTW I discovered that if I use Internet Sharing via bluetooth, the problem would not occur.
Interesting,i would check if this problem is still active in 6.5 builds (21915),unfortunately i dont have a data plan so i can test it.
I attached Internetsharing and Browsing family from 21915 if you wanna try it but the connection package could be also in Os folder.

Thanks for the files. I will try it out. Just now I just have to soft reset because I downloaded a big file using Opera 10. Only happens when the download speed is high. It's like it goes too fast for something to handle...

Bro, even I had the same problem when I installed it on my N4.
I had even mailed about the problem to the support section of Whatsapp, but they didn't responded.
So I switched to "VIBER" along with my friends.
whatsapp
I amongst many, with the same issue if you do a google search re whatsapp issue.
Not only can I not connect, but I did finally overcome that issue by downloading the newer version.
The other issue I experience with whatsapp is the delay in receiving messages. It seems the push service, is not running properly.
All this I have experienced since the update of Android 422.

If you can connect to other applications on your data network, but not WhatsApp, it could be that your mobile provider has configured your wireless access points to block certain chat applications. Try this if WhatsApp still will not work on data only:
Contact your mobile provider and ask them about different access point settings to run chat apps.
They will guide you through a process in which you will manually configure your data network and web settings.
Go to access point settings (APNs) and select TATA DOCOMO INTERNET apn or which ever service provider you use select Internet apn , your whatsapp will work.

Hi, i am having a problem with my nexus 4. i use wifi at home and i never use mobile data cause it is expensive so i turned off the mobile data in settings>more>mobile networks and when i am connected to wifi and when i open certain apps like maps, play store or facebook i see a location symbol in the notification bar for a sec and i get a message from my network provider that i am charged some amount for mobile data usage, the usage is between 1kb - 4kb always. i am losing a lot of money like this. i think when i open these apps they are using mobile network to get the location and that is what im being charged for, but since i turned off mobile data shouldnt these apps use wifi instead i have android 4.4.2 and i am only seeing this problem since 1 week no problem before. is anyone facing the same issue too.
Have you tried changing the default apn to something that is invalid or asking your provider to block data access?
You could try to turn on airplane mode

The share it app in my one plus 5 is not working..
It connects to other shareit network (other phone)
But can not send or receive file...
When i reinstall the app everytime, it sends half of the file and gets stuck..
then on reopening the app previous problem occurs..
Can someone please hand me with a solution.
hi there ...been using this apps no issues for me.. are you on custom rom ?
No i am on stock rom..
Oxygen Os 4.5.14
Android version 7.1.1
Using for just 2 days now
The same thing happened to me some time ago. Then I realised whenever my mobile data was on,shareit cant send or receive files.plz check if your mobile data was on.
Tried with both data on and off..
not working, same problem happened,
Also tried to open shareit while wifi off and on both.
Same thing happens
Shareit cant create hotspot while mobile data is on and i know it from my samsung s4 days..
Dunno what else i can do..
tried cross platform also, installed Xender and tried to connect it with shareit on other phone..but they do not connect.
As most of the phones around me uses shareit, so it has to be shareit.
At this point file sharing seems hopeless apart from bluetooth..which is not at all convenient
Common problem on many phones. Disable "ultra-fast mode" in settings and set transfer channel to "single channel", on both phones.
Done that too with no result ...sigh
Same problem her xender share it etc not connecting
Same problem her xender share it etc not connecting.
No matter what u try?
I've always had trouble using ShareIt, on this phone and others. I prefer SuperBeam. May not have a fancy UI but much more dependable and doesn't have the breaks in connection like ShareIt.
