Hi All,
I've just bought a brand new LG G6 yesterday, and in the first 2 minutes a random, rainbowish 3mm stripe just started flickering on the top of the screen. The issue seems to be fully random, I could not identify the trigger nor reacts to phisycal strain. I also ran a quick LCD check which did not show any visible defects of the LCD panel.
Video about the issue: please search for "LG G6 random screen flickering issue" (since I am not allowed to post links yet)
Is this an already identified (or even solved) issue or is fully unique and I shall send it back immediately for replacement?
Thanks in advance for any help.

No, YOU ARE SPECIAL Get the replacement.

Hi,
I am having a serious touchscreen issue with my Note 3,
I am getting ghost touches, which happens occasionally but sometimes goes crazy,
It happens in a specific area of the screen (exact area, between and over QWERTY and ASDFGH rows when typing),
It appeared after a month from purchase,
I have submitted it twice to Samsung service center without getting it fixed,
1st time they changed the charging port!!!
2nd time they just reset the software !!!
What should be the solution to this issue ? is it a usage issue - I never dropped it ?
Final note, lately I noticed that I can trigger these ghost touches to happen by pressing (with some little pressure) on the top left corner of the touchscreen.
Below video shows the problem,

Update:
I have submitted it today for the 3rd time to Samsung service center, I hope I get it fixed this time.
They said that they will replace the LCD screen, should that fix my problem ?
LCD screen has a touch pad build in and from your description seems like there was a short somewhere inside the screen so this should fix it, but frankly service center should read your complain and test it for this particular problem before giving the phone back to you, the first and second time around unless it's something hard to reproduce. You can only hope third time is a charm.
Ok, so first thing's first. I've been researching this for a few days now before creating this post. The touchscreen issues I'm finding online, are similar to what I'm experiencing, but the solutions have already been done, or my phone is not responding to them. I'm making this thread to see if anyone else has experienced the same issues or has any new news before I a) return my phone to stock, b) replace the digitizer, or c) buy a new one or upgrade to the G3.
My G2 was rooted, but kept on stock ROM with only small tweaks here and there. After the latest update, I noticed my work G2 had much better reception, so I returned my phone to stock to download the update. After updating, I re-rooted the phone, this time, the only thing I changed was the keyboard which I replaced with the G3 keyboard. Everything was fine for months until about a month ago.
It started with not being able to pull down the notification shade on the right half. No biggie, but after a week or so, it got worse. While using instagram, I noticed that the confirm button was sporadically responsive. Sometimes it worked fine, other times it didn't work at all. It began to progressively get worse on an almost daily basis. I decided to see what was going on and enabled both input options in the developer options menu. I found that the entire right side, about 1/8" was not responding to touch, the area not covered by glass screen protector( i removed it later while trying to troubleshoot). The upper right area showed about a half inch block that wasn't responding (the area where the data ribbon is). I was ok with that as instagram was really the only thing I used being affected.
About a week ago, the mid left screen area started being errratic. It began to get worse and started to affect the front touch screen buttons ( the area where the other data ribbon is). I enabled the input options again and saw that I now had a good portion of my left side of the screen was unresponsive. Even though I didn't drop it, I thought maybe the data ribbons had come loose as those 2 areas are where they are. I opened and disassembled the phone and re-sat the connctions after inspecting them. I double-checked all the other connections and LDIs in case humidity was the culprit. Everything looked good. Didn't fix the problem.
I've had to set my phone to unlock by facial recognition to ensure I don't get locked out, and changed my pin to use numbers not affected. I'm going to replace the digitizer, but wanted to see if anyone else had the same issue, or knew if it was, indeed, a software issue before I spend $75 (I will be replacing the digitizer and LCD to get it working sooner rather than risk damaging the LCD while replacing the digitizer and having to wait another week). I don't want to send it in to LG because I bought it on ebay and have no proof of purchase for warranty, and I want it working sooner.
One thing I noticed that may help with diagnosing, the screen now looks different when off. Before, in direct sunlight, you could see the dotted matrix from the digitizer, and that was it. Now, I can see the retangular pattern across the entire screen. I checked my work G2 which I just received a few months ago and the rectangular pattern is only visible on the edges of the screen, the center is black with only the dotted matrix visible. Keep in mind, this is in direct sunlight. In shade, the rectangles are visible on both.
I'm hoping it's a software issue, but I'm wondering if the digitizer is starting to separate from the LCD. I don't see any acutal separation though.
Thanks for reading the book, and for any feedback. Also, because it will probably come up, I want to avoid upgrading if I can because the G3 is just a little too big.
I restored the phone to stock with the most up to date software. Still doesn't work. It appears to be a hardware issue. I really thought it was software because the dead spots word for a split second after turning on the phone. Oh well. Guess I'm going to order a new digitizer or LCD combo.
I have a G2 LG D805.
I notice that sometimes the notification bar operated without being tagged, and after a while the screen does not react; I have to fix that lock and unlock the screen.
I upgraded to Kitkat and ROM changed him, to no avail.
I can not be so, is there any solution to this? Thank you

I don't want to sound pessimist, but I think that what you are seeing is a common LG G2 touchscreen defect.
Some of the problems reported are:
1. Ghost touches
2. Over-sensitive touchscreens
3. Some specific area of the touchscreen does not respond to touch. Most commonly close to the top of the screen.
Unfortunately LG has not addressed these issues at all and there seems to be no permanent fix to any of those symptoms.
Some people have managed to fix some of the above with certain ROM/Kernel combinations, some have gone great lengths to even replace the whole screen/digitizer assembly only to find the problem returning after a few weeks or months.
I just read on Reddit that some user is on his 7th LG G2, so it's not just a "bad batch" with problems but a very common one.
I am experiencing the sudden touchscreen malfunction on the top part of the screen.
Good luck!
Thank you
i have gone through 2 digitizer assemblys and the problem still occurs.
Mine developed the bad touch area and phantom touches. The jerk at the local Verizon store told me he talked with "an expert" and that I had dropped my phone, after he told me it was a known problem. Told me to file a claim on insurance, which they turned down. Called Verizon's toll free number and lady was upset on how I had been treated and promptly overnighted me a replacement.
did you find any solution?
same problem with my lg g2 d802
Hi,
My G2 D802 screen started to behave strange (flickering, half white with dots) then became black, from the boot up, when i tap the screen it seems to respond (vibration, sound). I took it to LG service customer, at 1st they changed the screen but the problem persist so they told me that the screen connector is damaged and they don't have a logic board (motherboard) for my phone, they had only for 16gb version not the 32gb. I looked in the internet but i couldn't find where to buy one because i don't have warranty.
Do you please know from where i can order one or how to deal with this.
It's frustrating i only had the phone for 3 months
thank you
Hello all, today I've noticed that my G2 has developed the infamous "black lines" accross the screen problem. I have black lines all over the screen vertically and horizontally. The lines appear to slighty flicker and they're constanly visible in all colors, but mostly in lighter colors. The phone is in a good state, few scratches here and there, dropped it once before (~0.5 ft height). The phone is around 10 months old and I use it intensely every day so I'd see if started happening after the drop, it didn't. My question is, does the warranty cover the screen replacement or adjustment (because I've read that it may happen because of the screen connector being loose) if it has the black lines problem? I don't want to open it myself and fiddle with the connectors because I don't have the skill required and I don't want to mess something up while it's still under warranty.
PS. Never unlocked/rooted/flashed, model D802
Thanks.

Warranty will cover it, when you contact them tell them you have tried all types of resets and factory restore.
They will issue you an RMA. Make sure you have the receipt of when you bought it, you will need to send it in with the phone.
I was going to send mine in for RMA but they wouldn't cover it under warranty because I bought it on EBay even though the actual phone was less than a year old.
